Hello!!! I was wondering if I could request a prompt involving dancing? You can add it in any way you want.
Ooo! I love this one!!
A Dance to Remember. [Showtime]
~
Normally the circus activities involve something silly or chaotic, even dangerous at times! But today was different. Caine appeared before his dear cast members, twirling his cane in his hand as he made an announcement.
“Hello my friends!!” He chimed with joy. The group looked up, waiting to hear what he had planned for them today. “I have a new plan for all of us today, and I’m excited to officially announce PROM NIGHT!” She exclaimed.
Jax raised a brow, crossing his arms. “Prom night? What’re we.. high schoolers?” He said with a snort. Caine appeared before him, poking him in the middle of his face. “Of course not, my friend! It’s just a name for a fun dance!” He said excitedly before proofing away. He hummed and held onto his cane with both hands. “I expect you all to dress your best tonight! There are fancy clothes within your wardrobe to change into! This is a FORMAL DANCE.”
With a snap, he disappeared, leaving everybody to get ready.
Pomni stood at the mirror in her room. She was wearing a sparkly dress that was split into red and blue, hanging off her shoulders a bit. She put the golden necklace around her neck and removed her hat, fixing up her hair to look nice. She sighed a little. “I’m not sure if I’m cut out for this.” She mumbled, rubbing her head.
She walked back to the main area, her golden heels tapping against the ground. Once she walked in, she saw everybody dressed up nice and already having fun, dancing with each other and chatting. She rubbed her gloved hands anxiously together, biting on her inner cheek as she glanced around. She felt very out of place in this. Ragatha approached her and smiled.
“Hey, New Stuff! You look stunning!” She said, patting her shoulder. Pomni smiled nervously, looking down. “Uh- thanks! So do you, Ragatha..” she said. The next hour or so included her and making small talk with her friends, but ultimately keeping to herself. She didn’t dance, just kind of stood there and drank digital punch. Bubble, who was the DJ, put a record on that had slow songs, and Pomni watched as her friends got together to dance with either a friend of a partner.
Pomni watched with wide eyes, and looked down. Meanwhile, Caine was watching over his friends with joy, happy that they were having fun! But he could not keep his eyes off of Pomni. “Gadzooks… she looks just splendid.” He said to himself. Pomni began to walk off to go back to her room, feeling a bit awkward, but suddenly.
“Pomni, wait!” Her arm was gently grabbed. She turned and her eyes widened. Caine stood on the ground, which was a rare occurrence, looking down at her and holding his hat to his chest, slowly dragging his hand down her arm and to her hand, lifting it gently.
“May… I have this dance?” He asked, seeming almost.. shy in a way. Pomni felt her face fluster a little, clearing her throat. “I-.. I don’t know how to dance, Caine.” She said, but Caine gently placed a hand on her hip and held onto her hand, pulling her closer. “Don’t fret, my star… just follow my lead.”
Slowly, Pomni was getting the hang of it, a smile on her face as she gently held onto one of Caine’s shoulders with her free hand, looking up at him as they danced. Caine stared at her with admiration, his digital heart pounding against his chest. Oh, how he loved her. He stopped dancing and just looked at her.
“Caine?” Pomni tilted her head, but gasped when he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her, spinning her around.
“Pomni, you bring my digital heart to a stop… you’re just perfect.” He whispered to her. Pomni hugged back, smiling.
That night was filled with magic, and joy. Pomni hasn’t felt this happy in ages, and Caine was determined to keep her happy.

TIME. FOR. CHEESE BELT.
[ID: Three photos from "Pick & Cheese", a conveyor-belt cheese bar in London. The top two images show individual helpings with their pairings and crackers; according to my notes these are, left, Cornish Gouda from Giel Spiering in Cornwall, paired with clotted cream fudge, and right, Cote Hill Blue from Lincolnshire, paired with a flapjack (a kind of oat-and-fruit cake). The bottom image is a photograph from my seat at the bar, showing all the cheese on the conveyor belt, in dishes topped with bell glasses that have numbered tags attached to identify what's what. The conveyor belt is shiny, lined with marble, and beautiful.]
