pig beach in the bahamas attracts people for being, well, the bahamas, and native pigs in the area can be found swimming to get around sometimes. people go nuts for the photo opportunity and forget these are wild animals- and youd expect it being the pigs killing people, but actually, people being too friendly caused a ban on feeding the pigs because seven of the poor things died after people figured "how bad could it hurt them if i give them just one?"

and these are just cases of something specific happening or being taken or given. thats not including people ruining and closing down entire tourist attractions, beaches, and parks by completely overcrowding it, disregarding rules, or trashing and littering the places.

like if someone preserving the park tells you not to do something you think is "harmless," i swear they arent just doing it because they want to ruin your fun. maintaining these places is delicate work- its a privilege to see and visit these areas, not a right. please take care of the world around you whether youre very close or very far from home, okay?

what if the demons in obey me kind of operated on stitch logic. like experiment 626, like lilo and stitch little guy that hits a planet and then immediately desires to beeline for the largest populated cities and go ham. its not exactly the same but hear me out.

maybe its not like every single being or creature in the devildom, okay. but these are the cardinal sins we are talking about. what if overall theyre really fairly normal, but theres just occasionally an opportunity or an urge that just tends towards their abilities and effects AS a sin/whatever sin theyre affiliated/afflicted with and the temptation just TAKES them. they go a little unhinged about it. its like a little freak in their souls that takes the inhibition off their impulse control, specifically for fulfillment of their sin.

i imagine it effects everyone differently, obviously, and maybe it doesnt look very evenly distributed. and some of them effect others more than others do. belphie just fucking knocks out. mammon sees a casino and starts vibrating at the possibilities. lucifer almost seems like he has a grip on things but even if he has the ILLUSION and not the reality it speaks to his pride that anyone thinks of him as so responsible and in control, which is why lmfaoooo when that slips out of his hands sometimes his first reaction is murder. its like that sometimes, lucifer. i know.

back in the og game early on, i mean like belphies still in the attic, lucifer talks about how demons are unable/can tend towards not being able to resist their impulses. obviously thats not like a flat fact to take at face value, theres all sorts of times where any demon is like URGHHH GOTTA RESISTTTT over things both trivial and dire. but the fact that he says that over wanting a collectors record you get that is like one of the only ones hes missing out of HIS collection kind of speaks to me about it; i do think on some level his guard was down and there was no way in a million years hed imagine the consequences of giving into his indulgences and victory in completing a set while you go off and snoop someplace you shouldnt be...
