Intro: In this world, magic is split in two, no longer something one individual could wield all on their own. Instead, the art is now divided and shared between those who write spells on enchanted talismans and those who unleash the power. From this discovery, the roles of Casters and Enchanters were born. This brings us to Nanta, the ever-bustling port city near the shores of Fen – known as the sea of stars – that is home to many who seek knowledge rather than fish. Some claim that it's the epicentre not only of trade but also magic across the continent of Yulan, and they're right. Stationed on its hills is the proud Academy of Dives, which houses thousands of children and young adults of all upbringings and social standing, teaching them the art of either enchanting or casting.

You are one of those lucky students - a caster with the highest magical strength across the entire Academy paired with an equally impressive enchanter to write talismans for you. Life handed you the easiest path to glory on a silver platter.

So, what was preventing you from dominating the world at the tender age of fourteen?

Merely the fact that you want none of it.

Features:

Play as a depressed kid in a fantasy world filled with magic. It's not the best place to have mental issues. Either you or the world will have to adapt.

Try to change your bad habits - wake up on time and attend classes like everyone else. You could even show up to write the midterm exam! Or succumb to the endless cycle of running away from your problems. There's no shame in that, only consequences.

Meddle with the life of another student and help them decide their fate. You could even stop an ancient ritual from happening if you're lucky.

Mend or worsen the relationship between you and the enchanter assigned to you. Just how deep does his patience run?

Characters:

Nadir - Enchanter

Nadir is your enchanter and the first-ever friend you made after arriving in the Academy, though you doubt he shares your opinion. He is everything a student should be and everything you are not. Even though you both share a rare gift, only one of you appreciates it, which often leads to arguments between you.

Shuli - Enchanter

Shuli is your beloved roommate. She agreed to stay behind with you in the abandoned dorms, which has made your life easier. Her kindness and patience towards you knows no bounds, and when you squint, you can almost see a shining halo on top of her head. If you hadn't seen her beat up a bunch of thieves with her bare hands, you, too, would be fooled into thinking of her as someone on the weaker side.

Eris - Caster

Eris is called ‘The Darling of the Academy’ due to being everyone's favorite despite being quite the troublemaker. You even heard that so far they never lost in a single popularity contest due to their beautiful doll-like face, but that is pretty much all you know about them. That is, until - all of a sudden - they start randomly approaching you all the time.

Other Characters:

Sol & Leto

Leto and Sol - the inseparable duo with completely opposing personalities. Sol glares at people like she never had a peaceful day in her life - while Leto is a walking cloud full of smiles. People wonder how these two get along so well. You may find the answer to that soon enough.

Kara

Kara is the spirit you bonded with when you were seven. He is the closest thing you have to a family.

Gias

A carefree soul that also happens to be a teacher. Gias is a mysterious person, and you suspect they know more than they let on.

The second thing I did after moving to Gilgamesh (and putting my retainers back to the business of selling things) was buying an apartment.

I have now officially finished furnishing it! Canonically Gia doesn't have an apartment, but I approached this as a what if scenario. What if he had a more permanent place to call his? What would it look like? How would he furnish it?

The item limit is my bane, but within its restrictions I tried to put together a basic little home. Not enough clutter, I say, and can't add more because I used every slot already.

Robin: Why tf does the alto clef exist? I mean, seriously. Anyone who's enough of a music nerd to read alto clef in the first place is enough of a music nerd to be able to read things above/below the staff in the other clefs.

Madison: Being alone and being a loner are two completely different things. She has had multiple arguments over this distinction.

Ophelia: If people want high-skilled jobs, why do they make you pay exorbitant amounts of money just to have the skills to get those jobs? Their superheroes, that they look up to, are disabled, yet half the time people won't even give up the disabled seats on the bus for her.

Jasper: Medical dramas ruin people's perceptions of medicine. They still love to watch the medical shows, sheerly for the sake of making fun of them, but they firmly believe that House MD has led people to self-diagnosing some absolutely wild conclusions for the mildest symptoms. No, you are not like that girl who had the bubonic plague. No, you do not have lupus. You have chills and fever and joint pain because it is flu season and you have the flu. Go home.

Kestrel: Animal taxonomy is... kind of a fucking joke. It works, it's a good system for cataloguing things, but... it's also a joke. Things don't make sense. If you get deep enough into taxonomy then birds don't exist. Either nothing's a fish or everything is a fish. Don't even get them start on hybridization.

Katherine: Realism artists aren't better artists than abstract artists, or any other kind of artist, just because they can do realism. Stop trying to compliment her by saying "I need a ruler to draw a stick man" or "I could never draw like that". Pick up a pencil and practice.

Quinn: People seem to feel the need to critique her choice of footwear when she's out walking with her crutches. No, thank you, her combat boots are more than fine. They're a little heavy, but they're familiar and comfortable, and they're already made for walking over tough terrain. Tennis shoes, or even orthopedic shoes, just throw her off-balance and make things worse. Shut up with the WebMD talk.

Eris: What hill wouldn't they die on? They'll die on hills they don't even care about, just for the sake of having an argument. He finds it fun.

Nikoletta: People who come to New Orleans just to dunk on the haunted history are just as annoying as people who come to New Orleans to rave over the haunted history. Come, enjoy yourself, but understand that it's a city with real history, and real families live there. She was just as annoyed with the people who would come for a "voodoo reading" and gush about it as she was with the people who would come in just to tell her to "do her best, I know it's all tricks". (even if her readings were just a scam, that still takes effort and skill, and besides that she knows there's a lot of people who have total faith in their abilities as mediums)

Is Layla a main character?

I can’t believe some people claim that Layla isn't a main character, when, in reality, she plays a central role in numerous major plot lines throughout the show.

I personally think that the biggest storylines are of course Spencer's life and his journey to the NFL, the dynamics within the Baker family, and the music storyline. and Layla has had a huge role in all of these narrative arcs. People may disagree that the music storyline is one of the main ones but here are my reasons why I think it is.

1. Consistency: The music storyline has been present since the first season.

2. Character Involvement: the music storyline is not just exclusive to Layla, several of the main and recurrent characters, including Coop, Patience, Preach, and Shawn, have had their own music-related storylines.

3. Bridge Between Worlds: obviously Spencer and Billie are the bridge between Crenshaw and Beverly Hills. But to me the music storyline also acts as a bridge connecting Crenshaw and Beverly Hills, since a lot of the Crenshaw characters have been part of the music storyline.

4.Vegas Fiasco: The music storyline served as the backdrop in the Vegas plotline, as Layla’s invitation to Coop’s show was the reason everyone was there.

5.Guest Stars: The presence of famous guest stars like JoJo and Shawn Stockman show how important the music storyline is.

6.Recurring guest Characters: Many recurring characters, such as JP, Clay, Carrie, Gia, Miko, and even Sky, are tied to the music storyline or Layla herself.

Layla’s status as a main character is undeniable and here are some of my reasons:

1. Baker Family Connection: Her close relationship with the Baker family, particularly as Olivia’s best friend and Jordan’s fiancé, mirrors Spencer’s bond with the Bakers, as he becomes like a son to Billy and Laura just like Layla, is best friends with Jordan and in love with Olivia.

2. Bridge Between Worlds: Layla’s involvement in the music storyline serves as a bridge between Crenshaw and Beverly Hills, for the reasons I mentioned before.

3. Central Role in Major Plot Lines: Layla has played a central role in many major plotlines, including her relationship with Spencer, the Spelivia love triangle, feud between Asher and Spencer in season 1, love triangle with Simone and Jordan, Patience’s storylines, Coop’s music storyline, etc.

4. Independent Storyline: Layla has her own storyline (music) unrelated to Spencer or football, that plays a major role in other character’s arcs demonstrating her significance in the show.

5. Guest Characters : Many of the guest characters are specifically for Layla’s storyline (JP Keating, Carrie, Gia, Sabine, Shawn Stockman, Chyna, christian).

6. Layla’s sets: Layla has sets specifically for her( music studio, previous houses, her bedroom, rehab facility).

7. Glue of Girls’ Friendships: Layla is the glue of the girls friendships. Olivia, Coop, Patience and Jaymee are all closer to Layla.

8. Crossover Involvement: Layla has been part of the storylines in both AA and AAH. She has played a role in many of the crossover episodes (even when she wasn’t in the crossover episodes she was a topic of conversation).

9. Ongoing Beverly Hills Connections: She still has connections with all of the Beverly people. In season 5 Asher and Layla had a great friendship, Layla came up with the idea of the fundraiser for Jaymee and both Asher and Jaymee asked Layla for advice regarding their relationship. Also in season 5, she had several scenes and storylines with JJ.

10. Layla is part of the core four 😉- She is the best part of Jordan’s life and his future wife. She is Olivia’s best friend and Laura’s bonus baby. And even with their history she is still Spencer’s friend.
