A plague has spread across our country
with reckless abandon from one breathing
mouth to another, the wider the worse, and
it kills people and tears families apart, and
not just the guilty but the innocent, young
and old, and it is relentless and senseless
and its name is Stupidity, for anyone who
refuses to get vaccinated is not ignorant
but stupid. Unawareness is one thing, but
purposefully disregarding information is a
choice, a stupid one, punishable by death,
or more accurately, suicide, but since you
may take others with you, it upgrades your
condition to criminal, or criminally stupid,
which is not currently against the law but
finds continuous prosecution through the
law of natural selection which is relentless
in its ability to render justice impartially.

Socially distancing at my favorite Chinese buffet. I come here to write, eat, and get out of the house safely for an hour or two. Indoor dining was banned for several weeks over the holidays, but reopened on the 4th. Masks required, gloves, additional protections around the food, and the team constantly ensuring the place is clean. Diners are seated with several empty tables between them. All plates and utensils are disposable to ensure safety. This is the back of my vaccination card, cause all my info is none of y’all’s business 😂 but this is kind of a defining moment in history, and I want to be able to remember it. . . I’ve been so thankful to see my parents, partner, and a few close friends get the vaccine. My biggest fear throughout this pandemic was someone I love going into the hospital, alone, and never coming out again. I work as a delivery driver in my free time, and as of yesterday, those workers were moved into the “qualified” list here in Arkansas. Thanks to a small series of events, I was able to get my first dose today, less than 24 hours after finding out I now qualified. . I still have friends who have been unable to receive it yet, but it seems like progress is finally being made. If you’ve been waiting and scared, please, hold on. I thought I was still months out, but things are changing. I still have another dose and 30 days after that to truly feel safe, but this small safety net is enough for me right now.
