this whole noah situation has made the fact that a lot of people (especially twitter stans) are really young so obvious. it’s clear that none of them fully understand the Israel and Palestine conflict (no i’m not pro Israel but with the way they’re talking about it, it’s clear they don’t grasp what’s going on) it’s also clear that none of them actually know what judaism entails, Israel is a sacred and holy part of jewish religion and is therefore celebrated through a religious lens. this however does not mean that a jewish person practicing and learning about their faith equals that they support the israeli government’s actions, hence the concept of the separation of church and state. claiming that jewish people are “zionist” for learning about and practicing their faith (which includes the country of Israel) because of the extremist government is just antisemitism. weaponising a real world serious problem in an attempt to cancel someone is not only immature but also so very ignorant.

I’m in the camp of ‘loki doesn’t need a love interest’ bc the show is about him finding himself!and exploring who he can be. Sylvie is an excellent mechanic to do that, and Sophia di Martino is amazing and fantastic in the role - basically I love the character. There’s so much that could come out of these two sharing their experiences and helping each other figure out their place and give each other a sense of security in that

Basically, adding a romance is at best unnecessary and at worst it’s actively crippling the plot and character development that could come out of these two interacting. For me, the romance feels forced and awkward and I constantly think that platonic conversations and bonding would serve both the characters and the overall plot far better.

Sylvie is a fantastic character. It’s a shame (though honestly unsurprising) that Disney/Marvel still seems to think that the only way that male and female presenting characters can have meaningful relationships is through romance.
