been playing through TWDG after like 10 years and I decided to draw a really self-serving idea of "what if every child throughout the series made it to Ericsons with Clem"

Duck is not a smart man but he's exceptionally loyal. His lack of wit is countered by his raw strength, despite losing a hand all the way back at the motor inn. At Ericson's he'd probably hang around with the likes of Mitch and Willy. Totally has his dad's hat somewhere.

Becca is the local pain in the ass. Constantly breaching the safe zone and acting primarily in her own interests, few people actually like her but can't deny her capability; she's good to have around in a fight. She's come to respect Clementine's resourcefulness but would never admit it.

Sarah stays firmly within the walls of the school, but that doesn't mean she doesn't pull her own weight. Following in her father's footsteps she's the closest the school has to a doctor now. She'll hang close to Clementine but also gets along with Ruby and Aasim.

Gabe Garcia is the local sadboy. He's not as moody as he was in Richmond, but he's still a little mopey and insists on stepping up. Despite her protests he's very protective of his sister, and still harbors a soft spot for Clementine - so naturally doesn't get along with Louis/Violet.

Mariana Garcia is young but capable, and weirdly well adjusted and mature for her age - she's younger than Gabe but feels like the older sister. After the New Frontier shot her eye out she hasn't been as active in a fight but she'll still insist on pulling her weight while knowing her limits. Gets on with everyone.

James Fairbanks is the oldest known surviving member of his family (unless Sam is still out there) and is brutally protective of his younger brother, Alex. Has a mutual respect with Clem and is very good at setting traps outside the school.

Alex Fairbanks would probably like to fight walkers more but James prefers he'd stick to supply runs and stay on watch. He feels stuck at the kids' table and wants to do more to help, but is at a loss on how to do so.

Just watched The Pope's Exorcist and as someone who thoroughly enjoys FAITH (and religious horror) I happily noticed the parallel of:

Inexperienced (in exorcism) younger priest who questions his faith named John Thomas(Tomas), and an older priest named Gabriel(Gabriele) who go through an extremely traumatic exorcism together and are now ganging up to dispel the UNSPEAKABLE (the 199 places of evil).

Couple of TWDG unpopular opinions

Season 2 would’ve been better if we replaced the Cabin group with the 400 Days characters or even better, replace Arvo with Eddie and use the 400 Days crew and Tavia instead of the evil stereotypical Russians and just have the final episode of Tavia and co getting revenge for losing their home and it ends with either Clem choosing to save Kenny or Nick

Killing off Omid and never mentioning Christa ever again was stupid

The story would be better if Clem was looking after Christa and Omid's baby instead of AJ

Ben, Sarah, Nick, Luke and Mariana being killed off was pointless

TNF should’ve been about the season 2 ending. Either Clem alone, Clem in Wellington or Clem with Kenny or Jane(or if they didn’t kill him so stupidly, Luke) and Clem building her own community and raising and protecting AJ

Only mentioning Lee in the final season was a disservice to Kenny, Jane, Luke, Alvin and Rebecca. The fact that Lilly never mentions Kenny and even wishing he were still alive so she could kill him herself would’ve been enough and Clem shutting her shit down in a similar Kenny style. "I am glad Kenny smashed your piece of shit father's head in. God you are still not over it are you? All this hard bitch is just for show isn't it? After all this time, you are still the same scared little girl crying for daddy's help. Well get the fuck over it, Lee had enough of your bullshit and I have too. Go to hell Lily, tell Larry I said fuck you!"

Not going back to Richmond after getting AJ back was honestly bad writing in my opinion. Clem and AJ already had a home waiting for them with a family who wanted Clem to return. Ericson is a nice place, but unless there is an explanation as to why they didn’t go other than “...shut up, that’s why” it’s really fucking stupid. If it were up to me, Clem would’ve sought help from Javi, Gabe and Richmond get the kids back instead of James. The rescue is a success. Lilly and her people are dead and we get the choice to either return to the school or Richmond. Or hell even the choice to go back to Clem’s old house as was in the cut ending with AJ(or Christa’s child if they didn’t erase that plotline) and whomever your love interest is.

i think even with the popularity that Kirino has, his character is not appreciated enough or talked about enough

aesthetic appreciation is always so good of course (esp since hes so gender and i bet he cracked a lot of eggs just by existing) but i like it when people talk about his character arc especially bcs his subplot was so good on chrono stone... that given that he's feeling vulnerable and insecure, his response is to help another person with what they're going through and encourage them. that kindness even when he was projecting?? wow, yeah. that's so rich!!

also when he was the captain for raimon in galaxy, i just think that it's so earned?!?! i know that given the time in their semester, the third years would no longer take the captain role even temporarily but even when adding them to everybody else that would be left in the team, i really agree that there's no other person there that could be the captain than kirino as he's proven his observation, patience, and dedication to the team during his first subplot in the first series (the one with kariya involved)

i think if inazuma eleven had a concept of vice captain back then, kirino would have been vice captain during the majority of inago even with the third years still having the full year
