So I just finished reading the student council au comic and I am in love. It's absolutely Amazing (and so is the adachi uncle au fic!! I'm only on chapter 9 but I absolutely adore your characterization of akechi in it you did him so so good)

Back to the comic I genuinely love all your ocs and the interpretations of any cannon characters, your artsyle is also just so genuinely fun and expressive (do you mind if I use art from the comic as pfps on discord w credit?)

Hitoshi is such a silly and I really like him. I have no idea if it was intended on your part but I honestly lowkey do ship him with akechi. I just think they'd be absolutely horrible for eachother and make eachother worse (tho (assuming it is going into Akira x akechi) I absolutely also love the dynamic being set up between akechi and Akira!! I genuinely can't wait to see how their relationship further develops)

I really just love akechi being absolutely unhinged a lot and theres just so much of that in the comic its Amazing (I also really love wildcard akechi too, I think him being a proper wildcard is always just such a neat idea so its neat to see that appearing!!)

So so so so so normal about the Tams fire siblings like your inner child is something you are missing so bad you wish it'd hurt/you only remember that kid when you are cornered and desperate and tired and hurt, and it's like you're trying to be together in this you want to you are even, but how are you supposed to reconcile with that? Hoe can you despite all you did, all you've been through, you're still so fundamentally far away. Would it be better if you weren't?

LITERALLY like to some extent zuko and azula are still those children that are so fundamentally pitted against each other like even through all this new love and fondness and allegiance they are still being opposed by their father's hatred and what it did to them and despite all the hardship and danger that made them tough and formidable they're still just kids

The fanart I do the most are for a canon compliant au where all mysteries know each other and have a found family relationships :0 so this is basically interactions that never happened in the manga but take place in the canonverse so this is kind of an au ahah

and tbh that’s once again mostly shitpost. Most of my posts you will see here will be in this ‘au’

The one I am the most known for is MysteryFamily au (peopel tends to confond my fanart in the canon verse with this one ahah and I can understand ^^)

This is an au where everyone is alive and where Tsuchigomori adopted all the mystery kids when they were around 5 y.o. They all live in a commercial alley where they have a library/toy library and where everyone know each other.

Nene is the new girl coming from the countryside to live in the big city and who will live just in front of the Fujishi (their family name -> it means mystery aha) and will discover her absolutely super excentric neighbors and will have no other choices but to let them destroy her peaceful life. 

It’s motsly shenanigans, with the most siblings energy I could create

(And Amane and Akane share a room this is really important)

They all share one braincell and this is just shitpost over shitpost. This is motsly just cute and stupid but everything I love in a happy au yay

 AfterLifeCity au which actually got some fanart and conceps (I mention it because even if I never draw or talk about it, this is still one of my fav au I ever did :D)

It’s an au where Nene dies and ends up in the underworld. And after being tricked by the 7th Lord of the city, she has to work with him to get all the Lords to work together to take good care of the deads.

I will maybe one day redo their designs because I don’t like them much now but here you go yay

It was mostly an excuse to draw backgrounds and cool character designs (and Akane smiling lol Akane forgot all of his previous life and is now known as the sunshine boy of the city, Kyô)

And Hanako’s shadow is Tsukasa he pretends he never sees. 

And idk some ideas are still really fun to me and this one actually got a real plot ahah

The last thing you need to know about me and aus is that I will litteraly take every aus AidaIro created and put the mysteries as a family since this is what interests me even if this is not canon :DD

On this conversation: I know irl an example of a white trans man who hated everything related to fujishi MLM shipping while he himself had a very close past with it and plenty of girl friends who were into it, but only a cis white gay man - who also enjoyed BL media and was a mutual friend, was able to talk to him through... not being hypocrite about it. Chapter 3 of tams is sooooo goooooood!!!!!

I loved how Zuko saw Azula's smartness in Sokka's eyes making him immediatly distrustful of him all the while Sokka saw Zuko docking-and-killing 10 fully grown FN soldier and went "uh? Hope this dosent awake anything in me!" and THEN he started rambling about how ✨different✨ Zuko is from other FN people because he is.... uhm... a boy and... uhm... maybe possibly good? Sokka need to update his flirting ability *sideglance Zuko* or maybe not, who am I to judge?

And Azula recognizing that Sokka is wicked smart! Yes! That boy kept Aang AND Katara alive! Alone! For months!! During an active war!!! With the whole FN hunting them!!!! He IS smart, thank you Azula! (I can't wait for their begrudging frienship build upon being the only two with a functional higher capacity brain lmao)

And Zuko short temper :) clashing with Katara short temper :) gosh I loved that! And I love how you always incorporate even the "bad" character traits that they have from the show! Like, yes!! Don't shy away from it, it makes them more well rounded amd belivable! Zuko have an horrible temper and a big anger management issue!! It causes problems!! As does Katara's temper!! And I love how Azula at this point know Zuko and work around him and his character.

Also, big brother Zuko being protective but also so fucking tired is a Mood.

Zuko taking the wheigh2 of all mistakes on his shoulder because he want to protect Azula from failure :'( and Azula allowing that :"( that pulled a string honestly and is such a bad codependent habit lmao they better not loose it anytime soon.

Fujishi (is written like that??) is sooooo gone from the maps, isn't it? I mean... on one hands... if the Gaang caught wiff of what would happen... they (aka Katara and Aang) would 100% intervene and they to save them. But also... it's gone. As is Azula and Zuko safety.

Ancient proteins offer new clues about origin of life on Earth

The findings, which detail how amino acids shaped the genetic code of ancient microorganisms, shed light on the mystery of how life began on Earth. “You see the same amino acids in every organism, from humans to bacteria to archaea, and that’s because all things on Earth are connected through this tree of life that has an origin, an organism that was the ancestor to all living things,” said Stephen Fried, a Johns Hopkins chemist who co-led the research with scientists at Charles University in the Czech Republic. “We’re describing the events that shaped why that ancestor got the amino acids that it did.” The findings are newly published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. In the lab, the researchers mimicked primordial protein synthesis of 4 billion years ago by using an alternative set of amino acids that were highly abundant before life arose on Earth. They found ancient organic compounds integrated the amino acids best suited for protein folding into their biochemistry. In other words, life thrived on Earth not just because some amino acids were available and easy to make in ancient habitats but because some of them were especially good at helping proteins adopt specific shapes to perform crucial functions. “Protein folding was basically allowing us to do evolution before there was even life on our planet,” Fried said. “You could have evolution before you had biology, you could have natural selection for the chemicals that are useful for life even before there was DNA.” Even though the primordial Earth had hundreds of amino acids, all living things use the same 20 of these compounds. Fried calls those compounds “canonical.” But science has struggled to pinpoint what’s so special — if anything — about those 20 amino acids. In its first billion years, Earth’s atmosphere consisted of an assortment of gases like ammonia and carbon dioxide that reacted with high levels of ultraviolet radiation to concoct some of the simpler canonical amino acids. Others arrived via special delivery by meteorites, which introduced a mixed bag of ingredients that helped life on Earth complete a set of 10 “early” amino acids. How the rest came to be is an open question that Fried’s team is trying to answer with the new research, especially because those space rocks brought much more than the “modern” amino acids. “We’re trying to find out what was so special about our canonical amino acids,” Fried said. “Were they selected for any particular reason?” Scientists estimate Earth is 4.6 billion years old, and that DNA, proteins, and other molecules didn’t begin to form simple organisms until 3.8 billion years ago. The new research offers new clues into the mystery of what happened during the time in between. “To have evolution in the Darwinian sense, you need to have this whole sophisticated way of turning genetic molecules like DNA and RNA into proteins. But replicating DNA also requires proteins, so we have a chicken-and-egg problem,” Fried said. “Our research shows that nature could have selected for building blocks with useful properties before Darwinian evolution.” Scientists have spotted amino acids in asteroids far from Earth, suggesting those compounds are ubiquitous in other corners of the universe. That’s why Fried thinks the new research could also have implications for the possibility of finding life beyond Earth. “The universe seems to love amino acids,” Fried said. “Maybe if we found life on a different planet, it wouldn’t be that different.” This research is supported by the Human Frontier Science Program grant HFSP-RGY0074/2019 and the NIH Director’s New Innovator Award (DP2-GM140926).
