So this is the anon who just finished the comic and does like hitoshi x akechi and after you mentioned it in the tags I just cannot stop thinking about Akira x hitoshi x akechi it seems so so silly. I feel like they all simultaneously balance eachother out while being terrible influences.
I would love to hear more of your thoughts on it if you'd like to share (I have more myself but I dont wanna ramble in your inbox dt6tudtud)
Tumblr media
toxic trio real and true…,,,
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SEND ME YOUR THOUGHTS OMLLLLLLLLLL PLEASEEEEE RAMBLE IN MY INBOX🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
like!!!! This makes me so happy u have no idea,,,,,
anyway,,,, if u are interested ,,, here
are my thoughts……….
too many cooks! too many cooks!
akechi definitely plays them against each other (ex. “Akira won’t do [x] for me 🥺 but will you…?” “Hitoshi told me no about [x] but… I know you would…”)
what is in it for Akira and Hitoshi? welp. Not much. Mostly Akechi. It’s like they’re positive hydrogens. and Akechi is a very negative oxygen in the middle
but Hitoshi is still definitely a pushover and would do anything Akira asked him to. and honestly ??? he’s probably pretty into the crimes Akira has him do. It gives him an outlet to vent his frustrations
Akira never asks Hitoshi to be his fall guy or look the other way when he’s stealing something. No no no. he wants that man in on the action. Live a little.
I think they would actually be like synchronized swimmers in the kitchen. Hitoshi despises how well Akira is able to prepare fish, but hey. Someone’s gotta do it and it’s not gonna be Hitoshi, so. They cover each others weaknesses in the kitchen.
Akira is also a really good listener and lockbox, so Hitoshi probably traumadumps on him often. It’s a comfort Hitoshi didn’t think he needed, but he probably ends up either falling asleep in Akira’s arms by the end of it all or saying some dumb shit before leaving like “I think I was born to meet you” that takes Akira’s breath away
Akira ends up spooning with Hitoshi a lot and having so much tall boyfriend to sprawl out on is a fucking dream.
For fear of Akira and Hitoshi leaving him for each other, Akechi probably wedges himself between them as often as possible.
But in the end they somehow… manage to make the discordance work a little bit……
idk I think it would end with Hitoshi having to leave both of them for the good of his own mental health unless they make it to the end of graduation, at which point, Hitoshi becomes well-loved long distance boyfriend for epilogue reasons while Akira and Akechi stay in Inaba for epilogue reasons.
Generally though,,,, I think it’s just not . Something that would come together . Like…Ever

Just a quick drawing of Mariko-sama facing Ishido proudly and taking over the spot of best character of this series while I wait anxiously for the next and last episode 😋

Making a sad face over here because I wanna talk about my Persona 5 (Royal) OC ( and her ship with Akechi) and simp over Akechi + Yusuke (separately, not as a pairing) But like. None of my friends are into it;but they know about it 🥲. Even though my brother has played it, he's not into things like OCs , OC x canon, and canon x canon. I wouldn't subject him to that torture 😂. I've been with these games ever since they both released.
I've seen that a lot of Akechi fans who ship wanna talk about AkeShu (Akeshi x MC) 😭 and I'm not into that pair.

~The Sengoku Period~
The Onin War
The Onin War was a civil war that lasted from 1467 to 1477 and initiated the Sengoku period. Onin refers to the era when the war started while it ended during the Bunmei era. It was a dispute between a high official Hosokawa Katsumoto and a regional lord Yamana Sozen but it escalated into a nationwide civil war that collapsed the feudal system of Japan.
Daimyo to know
Oda Nobunaga - the first of the three great unifiers
Toyotomi Hideyoshi - the second of the three great unifiers and the man who ended the Sengoku period
Tokugawa Ieyasu - the third of the three great unifiers, the only one out of the three who managed to receive the title of shogun and created Tokugawa shogunate which ushered in the Edo period. The Tokugawa shogunate ruled Japan for 260 years.
Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Oda Nobunaga was one of the great three unifiers of Japan, the other two being Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu. He was the second son of Oda Nobuhide and was born on 23 June 1534 in Owari Province. In his youth, he was known as the Fool of Owari.
Tanegashima, the matchlock guns, arrived in Japan by the Portuguese Empire and were used by the samurai class and their footsoldiers. The guns changed the way of the war in Japan forever. Oda Nobunaga ordered 500 of these guns to his army which gave him a huge advantage in the war. He was also interested in trading with the Europeans. He collected pieces of Western art but also arms and armor and was probably one of the very first Japanese who wear European clothes. He was also a patron of Jesuit missionaries in Japan and supported the rise of the first Christian church in Kyoto.
Before his death, Oda Nobunaga was the most powerful warlord (daimyo) in Japan. He died at Honno-ji when Akeshi Mitsuhide surrounded the temple with his army. Oda Nobunaga committed seppuku (suicide) and told his page, Mori Ranmaru to run. Mori set the temple on fire so that no one could decapitate Oda. After that Akeshi also attacked Oda Nobutada, the eldest son and heir of Nobunaga. Also, Nobutada committed suicide.
Akeshi Mitsuhide didn’t manage to hold the power after his deeds because Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s army defeated him, and he was murdered by bandits when he was fleeing. That made Toyotomi as Oda’s successor.
Toyotomi Hideyoshi started his life on 17 March 1537 as a peasant. He became Oda Nobunaga’s retainer and sandal bearer but continued unifying Japan after his lord had died, finally ending the Sengoku period by thwarting the Kunohe Rebelion launched by Kunohe Masazane against his rival Nanbu Nobunao. The rebellion spread across Mutsu Province. Toyotomi Hideyoshi backed Nobunao along with Tokugawa Ieyasu, sending a large army to defeat the rebels. Kunohe Masazane was outnumbered, and he surrendered Kunohe castle. That was the final battle of the Sengoku period and completed the unification of Japan.
About Sengoku Period’s Meaning for Japan’s future
After the Onin war, the feudal system collapsed, and the Sengoku period was constantly warring over the power in the country. The unification returned the piece and the Tokugawa shogunate ruled for over 200 years but was overthrown in the mid-19th century. The resignation of the 15th Tokugawa shogun led to the restoration of imperial rule. Japan has already started to modernize during that time and the less feudal form of governance was formed in Meiji Restoration.
~Other Notable People~
The Theory of Uesugi Kenshin
There is a theory about a great warlord Uesugi Kenshin that he was actually a woman. The theory is based on a report from the 16th century and is written by a Spanish person to King Philip II. In the report, Uesugi is referred to as an aunt of Uesugi Kagekatsu. The other evidence supporting the theory is that Uesugi Kenshin had stomach cramps monthly and his military campaigns were planned around these cramps. The cause of Uesugi’s death is recorded in Todaiki as uterus cancer.
Other than that, Uesugi Kenshin had interested in historical novels, poetry, and calligraphy aimed at the female audience. His appearance is rather feminine if you look at his portraits from the Sengoku period. He was also allowed freely enter women’s quarters in the Kyoto Imperial Palace. He had no children, wife, or concubine.
Miyamoto Musashi
Miyamoto Musashi was born in 1548 and was a swordsman, philosopher, strategist, writer, and ronin who became renowned through stories of his unique double-bladed swordsmanship and undefeated record in his 61 duels. He was known as a sword-saint of Japan. He was the founder of the Niten Ichi-ryuu style of swordsmanship and also wrote books called The Book of Five Rings and The Path of Aloneness.
Izumo no Okuni
Izumo no Okuni was born in 1578 and was a shrine maiden in the Grand Shrine of Izumo. She is believed of inventing kabuki theater. She started to perform her new art style of kabuki (the art of singing and dancing) in the theater on the riverbed of the Kamo River in Kyoto. Her kabuki became popular and was known for performers who were often lower-class women.
While this was the start of the kabuki theater, female actors were later banned, and it became an all-male form of theater which it still is in these days.

let’s talk about SENJU with feelings for oblivious!fem reader.
let’s talk about how you and senju started off as friends, and how that’s all you were supposed to be—friends. close friends. best friends. whatever. but just friends.
let’s talk about how over time, senju’s feelings began to shift into a new, supposedly taboo territory. she began to notice how the sun cast a warm glow upon your skin, how your eyes sparkled enthusiastically whenever you talked about your interests, how your eyes glazed over with glassy, delicate daydreams during class as you stared contently out the window, how you intentionally infuriate her by slipping on one sock then one shoe instead of doing sock-sock-shoe-shoe, how she’s subconsciously memorized every birthmark on your skin—things that are deemed questionable in terms of friendship.
let’s talk about how at first, with cheeks dusted with bubblegum-pink and a fluttering heart, she dismissed her budding crush on you, labeling her feelings as misunderstandings and inconveniences. truth be told, she didn’t know why she felt this way, let alone why these feelings were centered on another girl. she didn’t have any negative feelings about having a crush on someone of the same gender, no, no. she just never expected it to happen to her.
let’s talk about how, unfortunately for senju, these feelings never faded. in fact, all they did was weigh heavily on her mind, day in and day out, distracting her from her delinquent activities and burdening her concentration until she started making careless blunders in fights. she was irritated and restless, pacing back and forth in her room as she tried to reason with herself that these emotions are only temporary. plus, even if they weren’t, you’re her best friend. the odds of you reciprocating her feelings are slim to none. still, she can’t help but allow her gaze to trickle down to your petal-soft lips whenever you speak, want to embrace you as a lover instead of a friend, want to be able to freely entertain the idea of being in a committed relationship with you, and want to be the only person you ever have eyes for. she knows she’s being greedy and that she’s probably asking for too much… even so…
let’s talk about how it took months for senju to realize and accept the fact that she is, indeed, in love with you. however, even with her newfound discovery, she still didn’t know how to act. she was still terrified that you would be freaked out by her romantic feelings toward you. she was scared that you would feel violated from all the times she’s touched you, not knowing at the time that she’d been attracted to you. she was scared that you would be angry with her for intentionally repelling your suitors and insisting that they aren’t good enough for you, now that you know there was an ulterior motive lingering behind her actions and that she wasn’t just being a good friend like you had thought. she was scared that you would reject her if you found out that she was hopelessly fucking in love with you.
let’s talk about how senju would feel her blood boil when she sees your admirers’ eyes trail after you with a fond longing, or how she would become flustered and skittish when you would mindlessly strip off your clothing in front of her to change into a more suitable attire, or how she’s never moved so fast in her life when she woke up from a nap to realize that her head was resting on your chest.
let’s talk about how senju started to notice that you never return anyone’s confessions, how you only seem to stick close to her and smile this brightly in her presence, and how there’s now the faintest crimson tint to your cheeks whenever senju shows off her new clothing purchases to you.
let’s talk about how senju allows herself to entertain the possibility of actually having a chance with you.
let’s talk about how giddy senju would be once she takes note of the slight shift in your behavior, hurrying home with a light spring in her step so that she can release all of her bottled-up glee in the privacy of her bedroom.
let’s talk about how senju finally gets her shit together and takes a shot in the dark, hoping that her affections for you would land somewhere in your heart—hoping that somehow you’ll return her feelings.
let’s talk about how senju wouldn’t know how to properly court another girl, but would do her best, anyway. she would be pulling all the stops (in her mind), like inviting you on dates, paying for your purchases with takeomi’s black card, sharing her food, and even cheekily claiming to be one of your admirers.
now, let’s talk about how your dumbass assumed that all of the late night girl talks, all of the times senju would invite you on a date to the shopping district, all of the times she would pin your hand to the counter before you could pay so that she could offer up her brother’s card, even all of the times senju told you that she likes you—every method of flirting that senju pulled out of her sleeve, you thought was platonic. you merely thought this was her way of communicating how much she cares for you as a friend.
let’s talk about how you possess the same romantic feelings toward her but had assumed that such a confession was too good to be true, so now it’s up to you to meet her halfway.
