Inktober 3, Path

Undergrowth Daemons Small and energetic faun-like spirits, always accompanied by a small insect made of their own energy and is essentially part of them. Very playful, they love to find playmates and so love pestering travelers passing through the forests. They mean well but get often distracted, and so when trying to help lost travelers find the right path they often unintentionally send them deeper into the woods. Druids are always aware of their presence, since they're a sign of good forest health and absence of evil spirits.

I'm entirely convinced this one worsened a bit after being inked (the left daemon looks deranged?) but eh, could do worse and finished is better than perfect! Onto the next one! On a side note, i love how these little guys became sort of a goat-rabbit-monkey hybrid.

Last @inktober I had little time to draw so I chose to mix two prompts for each drawing, this is the result.

I concentrated on improving my technique with fudepen and then I modified the designs with procreate, playing with different effects..

Inktober 4, Dodge

Cloud serpent Sinuous spirits that abide in the sky for their whole existence, riding and thriving among the wind currents. The more they fly and the more wind they absorb the quicker they become, white streaks racing across the sky and shaping clouds as they go. Eventually they can become too fast and fail to dodge the inesorable storm cloud, giving way to thunderous but brief wind storms.

I've been informed these are factually fantasy scramjets. Also an excuse to do some puffy materic clouds which i love dearly.

I liked this one so much in black and white that I wasn’t sure I wanted to put any color on at all, but then I decided to just spill a little acrylic ink here and there. What do you think-should I have left it alone? Anyway this is the last of the swifts flying into the chimney at Chapman Elementary—it’s time for them to head to South America for the winter, and time for us humans to find something else to do with our evenings. I drew this with a Sailor fude pen, platinum carbon ink, and some Liquitex acrylic ink in their fabulous “muted” colors—green, orange, violet.
