If captions aren't too much work for you, I think they're great!

oh, they’re absolutely not too much work! all i have to do is copy-paste from the wikimedia commons page where i get the image from. i know some people aren’t into captions bc it “ruins the aesthetic”, but i think they’re cool sometimes (and also are obviously very helpful for accessibility reasons). i probably wouldn’t include them on every post just bc some of the stuff i post is obviously quite mundane/familiar (like probably wouldn’t caption something from the article “bicycle” unless there was some kind of missing context—situations where the title of the article explains the photo). it would probably be quite helpful for posts about animals and other things like that!
