Season 3x8 Episode Live Reaction
So, apparently there's a Content Warning for this episode?
WHAT?
Anyway - I will be watching so... thoughts below.
Holes are bad is a terrible name for the episode.
here we go....
OOOh flashback for Hetty. "Under 2 months"???
Legal Trouble??? OMG.
Of course Elias would cause Hetty problems. Even dead.
"Four".
"None of you are alive so what emergency could there be."
"You could lie to me once"
"YOu listen?" "You don't?"
Nancy wants Thor.
LOL Steph is back.
"LOL - it's illegal" -MEH.
I KNEW IT WAS RALPH!!!!
"That was rude."
SO, STEPH just went to sleep???
She ignores that Pete was like "GRAB YOUR SUCKOFF BUDDY".
"Just a basement ghost - my bad"
OMG THOR. OMG - you heard her!!!
LMAO !!! I cannot believe that Thor knew the entire time!
Chasing a butterfly???
The way everyone looks at Thor.
The concerned looks on the younger ghosts' faces. OMG.
"They're like what to do mean??? WHY???"
I love their excitement!
GOD DYING ALREADY.
Another flashbook. "No one has called ever, i believe."
Of course climbing out doesn't work.
Aw Trevor and Alberta wanting to save Flower!!
I love their teamup.
Sass is like "LET ME TELL THE STORY." I'm literally the storyteller!
LOVE SASS/ISAAC teamup.
1895 - stuck in a hole.
WAIT TOO MUCH MOPHINE?? Hetty died of an overdose?
WHO ELSE WAS IN THE HOLE.
AW PATIENCE!!! I'm SAD. Purtain woman! Lost in the dirt???
OH NO OH ON.
"YOu know FACETIME???"
THE GHOSTS ARE NOT ON FACETIME. I can't believe Trevor thought he could do the drawer - big step up from Sam's MOM where he wouldn't even try a drawer.
NOOOOOOOO!!!
"SHE MAY BE FERAL - DO NOT ENGAGE."
AHHHHHH!
I'm SCREAMING!
"i will punch them."
Another flashback. THE TELEPHONE.
WRONG NUMBER.
Aw Thor is cute here.
Hetty - Has a string around her neck? OMG... she hung herself?? It's the rope from her death.
Ass Sass and Trevor catching her!
How did you not know??? It didn't register has any thing weird.
"Oh hey Sam."
LOL Sam's Face at this explanation! If only Jay hadn't put away the iPad.
You got her a magnet???
Aw, Isaac and Sam are here for Hetty.
Trying to protect her son. And he could've become a murderer either way - it had nothing to do with your death.
I do really love the explanation of how they all missed Hetty's death and Elias' Vault. Finally it makes sense.
Awww Hetty & Flower moment.
LOL big secret. "I robbed a bank once." - "It's good to have you back."
LOL Checking the Owl Thing.
LOL Jay figuring out what's happening...
***
Final thoughts, It was a great episode. I am sad Steph was there just to tell them about Ralph/Flower - poor steph, but I totally called that. and I did like the episode.
TOTALLY PISSED PETE'S GHOST POWER WAS REVEALED IN THE FUCKING PROMO.

Season Finale: Who Got ‘Sucked Off’?
Wow, what an ending. But the big question remains. Which ghost got ‘sucked off’? (Moved on to heaven)
There’s already a LOT of speculation as to who they may be. So I’m going to go over them, along with what I believe might happen in season 3.
Nigel
Tumblr media
People are saying now that Isaac and Nigel are engaged, it made Nigel so happy it caused him to move on. (Which I will boycott the fuckin show if that’s the case) But I don’t believe that to be the truth. Not with the rules the show has already set up with how a ghost gets ‘sucked off’. And for that, we have to go all the way back to the first season.
How A Ghost Gets ‘Sucked Off’
In season 1 episode 11 ‘Sam’s Mom’, we meet Sam’s mother Sheryl who became a ghost at a restaurant after having an allergic reaction to shrimp.
Tumblr media
At the end of the episode, she’s able to move on to heaven after having a real heart to heart with Sam, telling her how proud of her she’s always been and has just wanted the best for her. And almost immediately she gets ‘sucked off’.
Now, back to Nigel.
Tumblr media
People are saying ‘Well now that Nigel is engaged, he’d be so happy, this would have caused him to move on, right?’ But the answer is no. Not with how the logic of getting ‘sucked off’ is already put in place. Hetty even mentions this logic in the third episode of the series. She says and I quote, “Sometimes very rare occasions, when a ghost is able to resolve a long-standing issue, the heavens open up and whoosh, they get sucked off.”
This is exactly what happened with Sam’s mother. She was able to resolve her issues with her daughter, making her ‘unfinished business’ finished. What issues did Nigel put to rest? There wasn’t any. Now, you could say the ‘issue’ was him and Isaac not taking the next step in moving in together. But if that was the case, wouldn’t after Isaac proposed and said they could move in together would this have happened? Wouldn’t he have immediately been ‘sucked off’? But it didn’t happen. So it COULDN’T have been Nigel. So who was it? Who got ‘sucked off’?
Season 3 Predictions
Who I believe might have been the one who got ‘sucked off’.
Tumblr media
I think it’ll be Nancy. And there’s a few reasons as to why I believe it’ll be her:
She had been more prominent in season 2 than she’s been in season 1. (And yes I know the same goes for Nigel but just hear me out)
She had been in the last three episodes of season two.
She has been shown to be more interactive with the other ghosts during their daily activities.
I feel like this season has been setting up for her departure from Woodstone. Even in her debut episode back in season 1, she explains to the other cholera ghosts that she ‘wants a better afterlife than this’. How she didn’t want to just stand around all day in the basement and do nothing. She wanted to feel a part of something. To be part of a group that feels like a family and something meaningful. And lately, the other ghosts have seemed to have accepted her to just be around too. They don’t seem to have a problem with her anymore. (Well except for Hetty of course) So with the feeling of being unwanted and not accepted gone, Nancy has finally made peace and when she realizes this, she’s able to move on.
Final Thoughts
Phew, so that’s what I believe might happen in the beginning of season 3. But for now, I guess we’ll just have to wait until the fall to see for sure.

"You actually really like these people, don't you?" Fagin asks Jack
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I?" He laughed, popping a nut into his mouth.
"Help me, Bob, I'm bully in the alley!" Rotty sang.
"I see Big Kit and his boy, Alfie, are doing all right for themselves. It goes to show that there's more out there than just ambergris." Fagin mused.
"Fagin, just enjoy your coin, and drink your rum." Jack shook his head in amusement.
"I am. Don't mean I can't be working. It's how a thief stays sharp."
A woman comes.over and sits on Jack's lap, "No. Thank you." He says to her politely.
"You still thinkin' about your fancy skirt? Who's distracted now from the sacred purpose of drinking, eh?" Fagin quips. Jack sighs.
"I just don't understand it. She keeps telling me I should be with Belle but I kissed her and I felt nothing." He runs a hand through his hair.
"ahh well women so rarely say what they mean."
Fagin fumbled in his pocket for a moment before passing a wrapped cloth across to him. "You'll be needing this soon I suspect." He nods.
Jack unfolded the cloth allowing a small silver ring to fall out.
"What is this? Who did you steal this from?" He asked in a hushed tone.
"No one, well...it was Nancy's."
Jack felt his heart stop at mention of the name.
At that moment the tavern doors burst open and red coats came rushing in. Chaos lost control.
*_*_*_*
You walk into the hospital, trailing along behind Belle and Fanny. You had made sure the younger sister used peppermint instead of peppers for the jelly she had made. You had to admit it was becoming harder to recall the TV show and what happened in it. After all it had been almost two months since you had arrived in Port Victory. At times you could almost forget where you had come from, if it wasn't for the dreams. Every night since you had fallen you had the same dream.
The sight of Hetty made you smile.
"Nurse Beggett, can I speak with you a moment?" You ask, allowing the sister to wander off up the stairs. Hetty nods and leads you into the nurses room.
"I need to talk to you, about your cousin." You say.
"Of course. What do you need to know?"
"Did she have weird dreams?" You ask nervously. Hetty stops folding sheets and turns fully to you.
"Yes, she called them visions. We didn't believe her but she would say she saw other worlds. Places where the people were different but also the same."
You breathe a sigh of relief and nod.
"Okay. What happened to her?"
Hetty's eyes dropped briefly.
"Honestly, we don't know. One day she was here the next gone."
"oh."
There is a rush of movement and noise in the corridor and you both rush out. Hundreds of people are being rushed in all around you.
You rush straight to work helping the influx of patients. You had worked in the emergency room so many nights this felt almost normal for you.
You hear Hetty call out.
"Some doctors would be nice!"
Quickly after you see both Belle and Jack coming in. Jack is frantically trying to help patients into beds and looking for the Professor. Your eyes meet his. He breathes in, opening his mouth to call to you but you turn and rush away. If you were busy with a patient he couldn't talk to you. Could he?
This influx was more than what you thought, Jack explained to the prof that Gaines had ordered this massacre and you recalled the episode.
"Bully in the Alley." You said to yourself. Upon hearing you Jack turned to face you.
"What did you say? You know something don't you?"
"I'm sorry, Jack." You say looking at the young man lying in the bed. Jack sighed.
"Can we talk?" He asks you, "later can we talk?"
"There is no need, everything is as it should be." You say and walk away.
"Y/n-"
"Let her go. I'll talk to her later." Belle says as she moves across the ward.
"Jack, this is a lot more complicated than you think. Y/n is a foreteller." Hetty said across the bed.
"Like your cousin?" His head shoots in the direction you had walked.
"Jack, patients now, love life later." She demanded. Jack nodded and went back to helping the patients.
Slowly the sun began to rise outside, Jack and Belle stood over Alfie Wilderkins.
"There's nothing more we could have done. Not with bleeding like that." Jack explained to Belle, "Hetty, have you eaten anything at all?" He asked. The nurse looked as if she was half asleep.
" No time." She says continuing with her work. All the staff had been cslled.in o er night to cope with the amount of patients. You watch them from the door. Gaines pushes past you knocking into your shoulder as he walked by.
"Captain Gaines, I will be speaking to my father!" Belle spit out at him.
" Have you come to finish them off? Blinded in one eye, a fractured skull, and a ruptured femoral artery!" Jack half shouted.
"All the results of resisting lawful execution of a warrant And that's young Alfie Wilderkins if I'm not mistaken. This is a very good day indeed." Gaines grinned.
" I want the men responsible court-martialled." Jack growled.
" Well, that would be me. You'll need to tell the Governor his right hand is a criminal." The Captain almost laughed.
"Yes. That is a very good idea." You say, causing him to turn round to you. He curled his top lip for a moment.
"Arrest them. They're accomplices." He orders his men pointing at the patients. Belle runs to the door and puts her arms out to her side.
"They need medical care. I can't let you take my patients."
"They were never your patients, Lady Belle. They're my prisoners. Stand aside." He takes a step closer to her, " Your father indulges you. If you were my daughter..." you slide between them putting your hand on his chest.
"She would run away. Like your wife." You his. Gaines narrows his eyes on you.
"And what would.you know of family?" He says.
"More than you. Tell me how is your wife's lover, oh sorry I mean your closest friend." You keep your chin turned up towards him as you speak.
Gaines steps forward his hand beginning to raise, but he's stopped by Jack gripping him.
"No, Jack let him hit me." It's your turn to step forward your face close enough to whisper to the Captain, "Where I come from, women hit back and harder."
Gaines let out a growling huff, his lips moving like he wants to say something else. He turns back to Jack, "Pity you didn't strike me, Dawkins." He said before marching from the hospital. Belle follows him.
"Your father can stop this!" Jack shouted.
"Where do you think I'm going?" She shouted back. Jack takes a step toward you but you retreat slightly.
"You removed your bandage?" He said quietly. You look down at your arm and twist it.
"yes, I needed the movement, I'm alright. It's okay, the pain is minimal." You assure him before once again turning away.
*_*_*_*
"Right. Here we go. Hair of the rat." Fagin poured the secret Whiskey into two mugs handing one to Jack.
" I need to find what Gaines cares about the most and rip it from him. Hit him where he'll howl." Jack says, hand lent on his hand.
"No, Dodge, provoking the lobsters head on, that's not our way."
" He's turning this place into a floating prison yard." Jack argued
" Which it technically is. And what's priceless in a prison? Contraband. He's done us a service, he's turned liquor into gold. And you know what's useful about me being on your ward? I got word from an injured farrier, about where they're takin' all that purloined grog.
"Gaines is knocking my patients' skulls in, and all you're thinking about is nicking grog!"
"It's because we're pickpockets. We're not the cavalry. We melt into shadows, we spot our moments, we survive. Now, I've got a man on the inside. Literally." Fagin laughed.
"These people matter to me, Fagin." Jack spat out
"Ah, very pretty. That's a lovely sentiment. Very noble." Fagin sat across fr.him
"Look, a stagecoach goes by with a year's worth of grog. Flashbang's hiding inside one of the crates..."
" What happened to you to make you so shrivelled with self-interest? Cold winds, Dodge. Cold winds. A stick with brass tacks on it that fell on me back no matter how much I begged. A belly that gnawed and never got filled, except for gruel or filth, and creeping hands in cold alleys and the dark nights without a roof. All right, I get the idea." Fagin explained making Jack feel small. "Yes. Things that you and Oliver never had to worry about, because I always made sure you boys had a blanket and a fire and a meal, and the means to get them when you was grown."
" Then why not show some of that same sympathy to these people now?" Jack implores.
" Look, you can give yourself to this crowd if you want, you can pretend you've found a home. But most people are bastards who will cross you as soon as spit and then when the night turns, the only one who'll be loyal to yourself is yourself, and me." Fagin continued.
"Until it inconveniences you."
"You're one to talk. You get a hole in your chest and you want to fill it up with crime, 'till Lady bloody Cheekbones twitches her skirt, then you drop me and you piss off. Well, I'm your family, Dodge. I'm your home, when you condescend to acknowledge me." Genuine hurt filled every word Fagin spoke.
"y/n is not just a fancy skirt. She isn't one of them." He fights back, turning his eyes to the floor.
"Could have fooled me." Fagin almost walked away until he saw the look on Jack's face. He had seen it once before. Many years ago, utter devotion to another person without question. A set of eyes that would remain in his mind forever in his memory and devotion that got the girl killed. He stepped back to the man that was once his beloved child, gabbing him by the shoulder and squeezing.
"I'm sorry, my boy. We'll get him, soon enough. Give it time, but lad, don't fall in love lad. It'll ruin ya."

CBS Ghosts Review: Man of Your Dreams
I have so many mixed feelings about this episode. By and large I would say it gets ten for concept and maybe...five or six for execution.
There's no way around it that Sas' dream manipulation is a cool power. But I don't like that it had to be used in a manipulative way to start (seriously Sam, learn to talk things out when you have a problem with Jay, whether it be D and D or his decorating plans, instead of using the ghosts to mess with him!)
It has been pointed out (and I agree) that Sas could have done what he did because as a ghost who has not had ample opportunity to make friends with Livings, he didn't realize his powers could be used that way and stuck with manipulation/fear mongering because that's typically what the ghost/living relationship is. And to his credit, once he realized how his going that route affected Jay, he was legitimately contrite and they both agreed to a friendship (which I want to see more of, along with one with Pete. Please bring Pete into the dream world with you, Sas, as well as all the other ghosts so he can meet you all without hurting or killing himself first.)
Then there's the Thor plot: I know there are some who dislike the 'Thor grieving' aspect of Flower's getting sucked off, but think it's good for his character, especially because it's sincere, which, to me, made Hetty and Alberta's using him as a way to get sucked off all the more painful. I don't blame Alberta and Hetty for wanting to get sucked off in general, considering how long they'd been there, but I don't think manipulating Thor was the way to go, and it would have been wiser to try and get to all his girlfriends and try and find out stuff from them instead. (And bonus...we'd get to see what a ghost flattened by a cattle stampede actually looks like...yes, you can't tell me about Flat Maria, have Thor call her his little pancake, and then not give me a visual, people! (And Nancy wanting to have a go at him after waiting a respectful length of time because she's cool like that was so her and kind of nice after all of Alberta and Hetty's manipulation.)
I'm glad that Jay and Sas made up in the end but I can think of better ways to show off Sas' awesome power that aren't sketchy so that's the bummer but the concept is awesome and I hope that now that everyone is aware that what Sas can do is a thing, we can get Ghost dream meetings with Jay's consent, the future.

Gotta vent my frustrations with that finale because holy fuck. If you don't want negativity then don't click the cut.
So far I've been praising this series for drifting away from one of my biggest gripes with the show and that's the oversaturation of romantic couples over found family and friendships. That hasn't been much of an issue this series, I've loved all the little moments of comradery, for example how it was Isaac and Sam who came to talk to Hetty after her reveal rather than Trevor, as well as Sas bonding with Jay even if just for that one episode. I liked Flower's polyamory being brought up again and had hopes it wouldn't just be mocked again....we'll get to that.
But then this last episode decided to leave me with such a vile taste in my mouth I dunno if I'm gonna bother watching more.
First off I'm not a big Isaac and Nigel shipper so it's not like I'm super devastated they didn't get married but I thought they were cute enough. I praised the show before about having an on screen gay couple as opposed to the typical tragic bury your gays of Caphavers, even if they didn't have nearly as much chemistry as the couple who have three scenes together.
But now Nisaac is dead, or on a respite (OK that made me giggle), and we didn't even get to see them have their emotional talk, just have Isaac sum it up afterwards. The show had an opportunity for a really heartbreaking moment with just the two of them but instead we were left with "He took it well". And Isaac has been dragged into the mud which, I'll admit, was incredibly cathartic on behalf of the basement ghosts and Nancy in particular.
Honestly it's the Thor/Flower/Nancy stuff that angers me the most and had it not been there then I might not have brought up what happened with Nisaac, but it just adds into the whole "queerphobic" narrative by having your mlm couple split while the mlw couple admits their love and another random mlw couple gets their wedding (one half of which is a horrible character). I knew the throuple thing wasn't going to be long term but....why bring it in at all? Just to mock poly people? Why not just have Flower say she needed space to think before being with Thor again? Why the need to mock Nancy as the "disposable unconventionally attractive" third wheel?
As for Flower...talk about character assassination. So last week she's all "how dare you be so cruel to Nancy?" and in the premier the basement ghosts are saying how kind she was to them - now she's abandoning Nancy in the basement and doesn't care that Nisaac didn't invite them - yet Carol was there?! Flower is the only other queer main ghost besides Isaac yet her wlw relationships are treated as jokes of her being a "silly hippy" and apparently she wasn't into Nancy at all? That's that for the only wlw rep in the show I guess. It doesn't help that Thor and Flower have zero chemistry imo.
I'm not gonna pretend the main guys in the BBC show treated the plague ghosts that great but at least they were invited upstairs to watch the panto. Again the thing with Patience was the only saving grace and I like that the guys had no idea she would do that so they're not painted as evil.
As for Pete's subplot, I actually did like Donna and was glad she didn't turn out to be some femme fatal like she was coming off as. But again, we have yet another mlw romantic subplot - when instead we could have had Pete with his daughter and her family and having the same dilemma of if he wanted to disappear there or return to his new 'home'.
Not to mention how irrelevant Sam and Jay felt to the point I forgot they were even there. All previous finales have had some sort of stakes going on with them whether it be the floor collapsing or the fake cousin, but here they were barely spectators.
I think worst of all, it just wasn't that funny. Often I can forgive a comedy's writing so long as it still makes me laugh but I got nothing from this other than disgust. Maybe my feelings will cool by the time S4 rolls around but I can't see myself wanting more of this show.

I’ just finished CBS Ghosts, and I wanted to give my two cents on the CBS vs BBC ghosts
CBS
I feel like it explores the rules of ghosts a lot more. It introduced the concept of possession and how things like burning sage have no effect on ghosts (even if I would have found it really funny if Hetty or Trevor (certified evil businessmen) found the sage disgusting). I feel like the longer seasons shorter episodes works better to explore these little plots for an episode.
It also feels like they’re making more progress on the house and that there’s more triumph to even just getting the chance to host stuff. And it feels more realistic that even with the ghosts, they’d hire someone to help run an entire b&b. While I don’t really know how their incomes are covering so many repairs, I like seeing that they’re doing well. You generally get to see a lot more of Sam and Jay’s lives in it too. I don’t think they ever even said what Alison was doing before she started dedicating her time to the house.
The more present possibility of the house ghosts getting sucked off is introduced really early, and I find that super interesting. The ghosts have pretty clear things that they feel like if they can just fix that then they’ll be gone, so it feels like the ghosts really have a chance of leaving at anytime.
Because of Sam being more extroverted and her feeling like an even greater focus than Alison in BBC, we get to see how she interacts with ghosts in different places. The world feels fuller than BBC. This also means we get to see a wider variety of ghost powers, so it’s fun to see all the creative powers they came up with
Something that I don’t really like is how because of its comedy status, it feels afraid to go dark and sad. Any time they explore ideas like Hetty desperate for more life while possessing Jay or Trevor online dating Bela, it might be that they tell more than they show or maybe it’s the score but I’m really not sure what makes it not hit as hard as the BBC.
Like seemingly all the big American comedies, it takes a little while to get a handle on its sense of humor. I think a lot of the earlier episodes will leave it feeling dated pretty fast, but it grows out of that more and more as time goes on. There’s even some moments that made me laugh plenty harder than the BBC ever did (I am American, and I do indeed laugh at show with ‘funnier to Americans’ slapped on the label)
I’ve already seen this talked about a lot, but I very much don’t like the plague ghosts’ ugly=bad person message even if I did really like Nancy.
I haven’t gotten how their time as ghosts have affected them. I haven’t gotten Fanny’s passion for math, Robin’s love for the moon, or the fact that Mary was starting to learn how to read. I guess it makes sense because neither of these characters really share their struggles a lot, but I want living for hundreds of years to have noticeable effects on them instead of it just them having a mix of their original time and the modern one and calling it a day. I didn’t like the way this plot was done at all, but it was interesting to see Sass become annoyed by Pete’s unwavering love of life
Sure, we get Thorfinn’s LANDSHIP and Hetty’s encouraging Sam to try some cocaine, but they feel like they aren’t very stuck in their own time. They change and adapt to modern day surprisingly easily, even if sometimes the stuff they get interested in doesn’t really make sense to me. (This is fully stolen from another post) but Thorfinn and Sassapis’ dating show vs Fanny’s Murder She Wrote or Mary’s Loose Women
We get some of the ghosts being around for younger ones’ lives, and I love it immensely. Thorfinn being Hetty’s imaginary friend and singing her to sleep is one of my favorite parts of the show. For BBC, we kinda only see the ghosts gathering around for the possibility of a new ghost
I loved seeing how Pete’s direction brought some much needed stability to the other ghosts. Without him, they’re all too self-serving, and they need him to tell them what they’re supposed to act like. He is the leader of a bunch of children!!
The fact that they have hell is so funny to me. They get hell privileges. And it’s Hetty that gave it to them by sending her shitty husband straight down, and I’m starting to like Hetty more by the day
There’s something about the little plots of the episodes that can feel kinda uncreative compared to BBC. Of course I think that it can go into really interesting territory, specifically in exploring ghosts rules, but the way things play out can feel predictable at times. Like, in the BBC, the plot of ‘a ghost wanted to give a mysterious letter to someone he was obviously in love with but backed out, and oh no! He‘ll never get to share what was in the letter with the person because they’re both dead!’ Isn’t the most creative plot in the world, but bring in the fact that he hid it in a bomb in the backyard, and it’s a lot less clear how that’s going to play out.
I think my feeling that the episodes were a little more predictable helped contribute to my not being as invested. BBC’s fun, creative plots make them feel like people whereas CBS’s plots make them feel like good sitcom characters. So when I do get interesting details that flesh them out, it’s harder to notice because I already don’t care about their character as much
CBS leaned into the shipping angle hard, and it can be really fun. Just to get it out of the way, some of it feels like it includes canned sitcom plots like Sass being scared that the Car Ghost is cheating or Pete/Alberta and Isaac/Nigel having the exact same plot for a good second. But Thor/Flower is so adorable and I would do unimaginable things for them and every single scene with Hetty/Trevor is pure comedy gold to me like oh my god (also I do want them to fuck, I think they deserve it)
BBC
The spectrum of emotion it gets is a lot better. I personally like the humor a lot more, but I think the more noticeable bit is how devastatingly beautiful some storylines are. From Thomas’ or Humphrey’s death to Cap’s love to Fanny’s life, it’s all done so well. These stories are told in fascinating ways that have loads of hilarious bits to lighten them up, but by the end of it, their lives were perfectly written tragedies.
Alison and Mike feel more real. Alison realistically gets frustrated with the ghosts, but you can see how they’re starting to grow as people and how they rub off on her. It’s really interesting to see how the ghosts have affected their lives with Alison not really finding work outside of the house and Mike desperately trying to connect to this part of Alison’s life.
While they definitely haven’t explored it a lot, I think I like how they deal with Gone Gone more than how CBS does sucking off. It feels more true to the nature of death in real life. No one got to say what they needed to say to Mary like Sam did with her mom, she just went, and it wasn’t right after she had the big revelatory fight with Alison. Sure, there were signs pointing to Mary being finally satisfied in death, but you’re not going to jump right to that conclusion. It was unexpected and there wasn’t simple closure, and I love that.
Having longer episodes lets every ghost get their turn. For every episode there’s like four different plots, so it never feels like any ghosts just spectates for an episode like I sometimes feel the CBS does. You never have to wonder what everyone was doing and thinking while the main plot’s going on
I love Pat’s role in the group and how the dynamic is a little different from CBS.’ They still have his clubs because it’s Pat’s whole reason for not getting sucked off that he will cling to routine no matter what, even if their whole way of life now includes much easier access to the internet’s worth of entertainment. Also, while Pete is the nice, normal one of the group, Pat is normal enough compared to everyone else to be passed off as that, but he also asked Alison to kill his wife and the whole ‘dip it again’ bit
There’s a near perpetual silliness about the show that makes it so fun to watch. Everything in this show from the plots to character’s movements to their decisions down to the facial expressions are just silly and goofy at the exact right times, and they know when to get serious too. The goofiness is one of the main reasons I love the show so much.
I’m sure you can tell I’m definitely biased toward BBC, but I will say that the bit with Elias going down on them had me laughing harder than BBC ever did

CBS Ghosts - Season 2 Finale - The Heir
As with the last few episodes, here’s my thoughts on the finale - sort of live blogged.  I went in completely unspoiled so this should be fun.
LMAO - Sam buying a candle for Isaac.  Okay - I don’t think Isaac should get half or any money at all since Alberta, Flower, and Trevor didn’t get ANY money from their contributions to Sam/Jay at the B&B.  Like she wrote it for HIM so he shouldn’t GET ANYTHING.  Just saying.  It’s total BS.
OMG I love the Exotic Dancer conversation.  Trevor being excited about David’s daughter.  And Hetty’s reaction - that’s nice to have that in the family tree.
THEY HAVE GHOST COURT????  Pete totally came up with this.  I do love that
THOR stop reminding him about that - Poor Trevor.  He’s like “I just want to be excited about my boy”.  “He threw you in the lake”.  BOO THOR.
Love the ideas for the money - it’s hilarious.  Nigel’s PISSED about the day bed.
LMAO at Sass flouting the GF thing and then talking about washing hands.  Since he wouldn’t be dead then. Love Nancy’s contributions.
OMG - the DNA scene was so good!  It’s TOTALLY nuts that this can happen since the deed already passed to SAM.  ALSO totally love that Thor’s like “I know stuff now” and cutting Trevor off and he’s all upset about it.  Alberta’s face was so good!  BTW I kind of hate the lawyer.
Hetty “Serve us” - LMAO.  These guys are not helping.  This is such BS.  I do love Trevor knowing this stuff.  HETTY! OMG.  LMAO David dying at a gentleman’s club.
I LOVE THAT DAVID IS A GHOST - YESSSS!
OMG the ghost court!  She thanked a washing machine?  LMAO.  Have they ever had house harmony?  This feels very much like Alberta has TOO much power considering that they barely got along before Pete died.  Always fighting (per the other ghosts when Pete got a spine).
LMAO Thor is just all sorts of unhelpful.  OMG this is not going so well.  Don’t propose Isaac!  This is not a good idea.
LMAO David - why would you put your balls in a coffee pot?? Of course it’s because of ARI.  LMAO.  God these dudes were dumb as fuck.  But it’s hilarious.
Nigel storming out is not helpful.  Isaac - IF YOU HAVEN”T EVEN ROOMED TOGETHER WHY ARE YOU PROPOSING???  This is annoying.  OMG the bullet?  Why???
A WHOLE YEAR IN THE WOODS.  Also, Thor got three days???  WTF???
OMG - Trevor comes in about the news about the engagement & LOVE Trevor asking about SEX VISITS.  OMG - the looks on everyone’s faces.
Also, GOOD Alberta won’t let it happen.  Hetty actually has to think about it.  Also, FLOWER & Hetty as ROOMMATES - Trevor’s excited.  He was SO happy about it.  I can’t believe Alberta’s getting Hetty’s room and was Trevor unaware of the Ghost court???
Trevor’s super excited about the blanks & I cannot believe aneurysm.  Motor boating accident.  OMG the LAWYER was in it.  I can’t believe what he was trying to do!  DAMN!  Even Woodstone LAWYERS ARE AWFUL.
I wish Sam had carried some messages between David/Trevor.  It would be so great!  I can’t believe David thinks he’s in heaven.  Trevor is so excited about everything with his boys despite Thor trying to bring him down.
“I love those stupid invisible bastards” - Jay :)
Aw, Sam gave such a loving speech about the ghosts and SERIOUSLY Jay - hoping it’s Trevor??? WHY JAY WHY??  HE JUST HELPED YOU BY KNOWING DAVID SO WELL.
I CAN’T BELIEVE SOMEONE GOT SUCKED OFF!!!  AHHHHHH.
I wonder who???  ANYWAY, I LOVED THIS EPISODE SO MUCH!

That was the premiere of Ghosts Season 3!!
I really enjoyed it, it was a great episode :D
Now, first off, elephant in the room: I did not really expect them to go full tilt with the sucked off event! But at the same time, I wasn't totally sure, so I was still plenty scared xD. Mostly for Nigel but I felt he was a bit too obvious as well. I didn't spend a lot of time thinking about who it was gonna be, though, so I wouldn't stress out, so hmm xdd. But just. . . gosh. It's so sudden 😭. I don't deserve this xd.
I will say I think it's not quite as depressing as BBC's loss of Mary, but I still think it hit hard and well <3. Flower wasn't my favorite character (but they're pretty much all right up there lol) but I absolutely adored her and I'm so gonna miss her :((. Especially the humor she added - obviously they all have humor, it's a comedy xD, but her just out-of-it-ness was so fun sometimes :'D. Sighh :')) :'(. Flower <33. If she is that bird now, she's flying high and loving it <3.
After attacking Jay and finished the life cycle since she was attacked by a bear lol.
Anyway, more on her at the end <33
First of all: so glad Nigel and Issac are okay <33. Loved the angst of them searching for each other though :D (after the fact - I was S T R E S S E D in the moment lol, as you could see xD). But guys come on xDD wait on the engagement party lol
I do kiiinda get it in like a "well we can't stop our lives" and to be fair she would want them to be happy, but also, nah xD. Did my family have a murder mystery the night of my grandmother's funeral? Yes. Doesn't mean you can have the engagement party then xD. But hey, what's his face went back down to the basement lol, so you can have next week!
Poor Pete xD. Man was going through it lol. I mean, not as much as like, Thor (which we'll talk about in moment) lol xd, but still. He did say "just a basement ghost", however. On the other hand,
so did all of we lol.
So hey, who are we to judge xD. Loved him trying to make it right though :'). And I just love that they were friends with Flower <3. That's so accurate, so her :). And I'm glad they invited the basement ghosts to the memorial <3. They deserved it :').
Thank you Nancy though for ruining the relations again lol, we need some space away from the groups (like them away from each other) xD.
Also Hetty and Alberta were being icons <33 as always xD glad to see them back to friends :')) I assume we'll still see more repressions of that all in the future but given that the situation was all that it was I'm glad they were friends this episode <3
-
Hetty shares a room with Flower :(
I just realized that :((
Oh my GOSHHH I don't deserve that. So ill thank you very much, oh my gosh 😭😭💔💔❤️
Hetty trying to sleep but all she can think about is the deafening silence- I'm not okay
They never even really got a chance :'((
AOUGH anyway xd. I'm okay lol (no I'm not)
Trevor knowing about ornithology was iconic xD Good for him lol. Poor guy was going through it with the basement ghosts encroaching on his territory though lol. Also Sass just wanting Thor to continue "wanting" a bird 💀. Sas no xD. Love the idiots lol <3.
Also AYYY Crash sighting!!! We love to see it :DDD. Really nice to see him again 🥰. Genuinely I loved seeing him, and it's nice for consistency's and making sense's sake lol <3.
Jay was also really going through it xdd. I am glad he stood up for himself and needing to get the thing done (I know they don't have a lot of control over their [after]lives but sometimes living stuff just really does need to come before ghost stuff xd), but I'm also glad he felt for Thor and was there for him <333. Jay really is just the best :')).
And Sam was also trying her best to be there for them this episode! She always does her best and seeing her get upset to be reminded that she's grieving herself is just ouaugh 😭😭💔❤️. So good <3. This is a lot sadder of a premier than Abbott lol. Anyway xD. I loved that bit, and I'm so glad she was supporting both the ghosts and Jay <33. I'm glad it all worked out :').
Now onto Thor.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔❤️❤️.
I feel so bad for him DDD': 😭. Bro was alone for so long and then he saw Flower (those flashbacks were absolutely illegal by the way), and he loved her 😭❤️. I know he stopped being totally alone a while before that but it still wasn't many. He's constantly been getting left behind (ouch this is starting to hurt even more I knew it would bring out even more emotions in me xd) and just to have someone, to have her choose him, and stay with him despite the hard stuff and the bumps :'). And then to have it all ripped away :'( 😭. You can just see his heartbreak :'(. I really hope Flower's living her best (after after, lol) life, but I can't wait for Thor to join her <3. Although of course I want to keep him around as long as possible :'D. They just. . both deserve it <3.
I will say I like the way the Ghosts-verse does getting sucked off. Or, "death", I guess, lol, as I always about to say xD. It sudden, like death is in life. I think even when it's something you know is coming for a long time and expect, it's still surprising somehow. It's having something be there one day, and vanish from your life the next. It's terrifying and crushing and awful, but at the same time? You want to be happy for them. Because, at least for me, you believe in some place beautiful for them. I hope Flower gets that <3. This is rough to experience, especially being reminded of losses in my life, but it helps to imagine her thriving, and just waiting for the rest of them <3 :). She is absolutely living her best life <3.
After life, that is ;').
Flower is wild. She was silly and crazy and wacky and FUN. She was just such a fun and enjoyable character, and I really am sad to see her go <3. I also think it has to be acknowledged that she had such an impact on the other characters. They all do, obviously, but you look at Flower and you see it at every turn. She helped Hetty liberate herself from society a bit, she helped Pete learn about what people can be with the basketball, she helped Thor learn to love again and compromise (as well as living with more balance), owls, she taught them valuable lessons with her life, the story of her robbing the bank, and her death (and all that surrounds it, like the movie and such). She was unexpectedly wise, and often underestimated, but she always proved them wrong in her own way. She's awesome. I'm going to miss her so much, but it was an honor to have her here while she was here <3. A soldier's salute, men. 🫡 Ah, I originally said that because I didn't think I had that emoji, but then it suggested it and I searched it, so yeah. Both are staying though :). She deserves it <3. Owls :)).
Rest in Peace, Susan Flower Montero. You are an icon, and I love you <3 ❤️🥰.
Overall, this was an amazing episode :D. Sad but lovely xd. It had some great plots going on, even/especially just the little things like the recurring bits (the turf thing with Trevor for example lol), still managed to have plenty of funny bits amongst the sadness, and was just all around a really amazing episode. I loved it so much <33.
What a great start to Season 3 :D! This was an angsty and awesome first episode lol, and I'm so excited for the next one (ghost power!! And Sas!!) and the rest of the season :DD. 🥰😍🤩❤️.
See you guys later!!

Thoughts on the latest Ghosts episode? 😊
Gosh, ok, where to start 😭😭😭
I guess I'll start by saying, Hetty's crack about checkmating Nigel was almost verbatim a line I wrote in my fanfic, like I spent so long looking for another way to say "checkmated" but ultimately just got rid of the word altogether because it sounded too cheesy 😭😭😭 like heres the line I went with instead
"...but once Nigel invited her after he invited Nancy, Hetty knew what he was planning. She could already see the chess board laid out in her mind of all the social slights and language stunts and all the petty little tricks, she learned from being an aristocrat in the 1800s, that she and Nigel would begin to move across the board each trying to get the upper hand on each other. By the end of it, one of them would win, and Hetty has never lost a game of chess."
So uh, yeah I'm pretty happy with all of my choices so far 😂😂😂
And as for the H-money stuff, it was cute 🤷‍♀️
The show is moving them into romantic territory now it seems and that's kind of where I check out of the ship a bit, sorry 😬
I loved the moment in the kitchen when Trevor's making innuendo trying to tempt Hetty into bed, like "I know a position you like being in" 😭 sir. And then she's like "no way... ok meet me downstairs in five" 😫😫 they're just so horny all the time I can't with them, but I mean to be fair what else is there to do for all eternity 😭😭😭
I loved Sas' reaction to them the most, where he was like "damnit I'm missing so much drama" that's my fave character right there folks 😭😭😭😭
Also Isaac's "found your stable boy" crack was like, bro just called Trevor a pretty boy and a boytoy in the most subtle way he could, I cannot 😭
Of course, I loved Trevor's chivalry after he ended things with Hetty and still took the library bullet for her, he's a sweet guy and I love that for him (and for Hetty). Also, the Splash roleplay 😭😭😭 Trevor, my guy. He just like me fr (both attracted to mermaids). The confrontation about Hetty really being ashamed of hooking up with Trevor and how he thought it was all just a roleplay game and that he doesn't like how this feels was pretty formulaic and predictable, not in a bad way just in the Ghosts CBS way 😂
idk it was fine, I really have no sappy thoughts about those two, I just wanna see them fuck constantly 😭😭😭
I have no idea where they're gonna go with them now that they're public about the relationship, I feel like it's prolly gonna take a backseat for a while and that it'll only show up as Trevor making some crude joke or reference to his sex life with Hetty in front of everyone that she scolds him for 😭 but tbh I really just don't know where they're gonna take them now that it's explicit that this is going down a romantic route, I just don't have thoughts about it I'm sorry 😭😭😭
Also, also Alberta's descendant was a sweetheart and her voice was lovely 😊

The Nowak Family
This family starts with a dangerous Grindelwald acolyte and an American-German informant.
"As many during the time of Grindelwald's terror would remember of the murderous duo, the Rosewood siblings, Hetty and Oscar. Originally, the line ended with them — one in Australia and the other residing in Azkaban. However, I have received word from a trustworthy source that Oscar had an illegitimate daughter in the USA and that his bloodline continues. Let's hope that murder doesn't run through their veins, or else our safeguarded community will be in danger once again..." - Rita Skeeter, Daily Prophet 2019
Tumblr media
Nancy Elke Johnson (face claim: Liv Lisa Fries)
Born into a magical family of fifteen, Nancy was born somewhere in the middle of her siblings. Her mother moved from Germany to the states to avoid a dire financial situation, only to run into the worst economic crisis in the mid-20s. Her father was an American wizard and took in her mother, who already was a single mum of five and her grandmother, Nancy’s great-grandmother.
Tired of always working and caring for the family after dropping out from Ilvermorny, Nancy would sneak out and party hard at the speakeasies. There she met Oscar Rosewood, by then calling himself Tadgh O'connor. She was aware of his fearsome and bloody reputation but pursued a romantic relationship regardless. While Nancy wasn't much fan of a of Grindelwald, she would often spy for Oscar and gather information for the cause.
Early in their love affair, Nancy gave birth to their only child, Lena. Unfortunately, Lena was born without magic, so Nancy made the illegal move to live with the non-majs so that Lena had a normal life. Oscar was constantly in and out of their lives due to being hunted by hit wizards and Aurors for his crimes. Until one day in 1944, he disappeared entirely, only for Nancy to find news of his arrest in the newspaper.
For the rest of her life, she remained in the non-majs world and was never charged when MACUSA found out, as it was after the re-appel of Rapport's law.
Tumblr media
Lena Hetty Nowak née Johnson (face claim: Rachel McAdams)
Despite being born a squib and having a murderer for a father, Lena had a relatively happy albeit poor upbringing. Her mum found work as a clerk and kept magic to a minimum so that Lena would feel ordinary.
Her father, Tadgh O'connor, was in and out of her life. Her mother only told her that he was a travelling salesman until her mother sat her down one day when she was fourteen and finally told the truth. Lena was shocked and refused to believe it initially but eventually accepted it. She never told anyone else except for her current husband about it.
Lena was fairly popular in high school and later went off to college to study to be a nurse. She met and got engaged to her first love there. They married in 1952 but divorced three years later; they never had children together.
Lena volunteered as a nurse during the Vietnam war after her divorce through the Red Cross. There she met a doctor, Dr Szymon Nowak, whom she fell in love with and had the classic work romance. They married in a small ceremony within a year and continued their work at the military hospital in south Vietnam for a couple more years before having their first child, Aleksandra.
They had three more children, Zofia, Jan, and Hanna, back in the states. Lena was paranoid the entire time that their children possessed magic; however, none of them ever did. Though in 2009, when she got word that her grandson, Flynn, was a wizard, she collapsed out of shock but kept silent as she didn’t want it to haunt him, and the same applied to her other granddaughter, Harper.
Tumblr media
Dr Szymon Nowak (face claim: Piotr Adamczyk)
Szymon is a second-generation Polish immigrant. His family managed to make something of themselves, allowing Szymon to study at Havard medical school. Within six years, he managed to graduate with high grades. Though after a year of practice, Szymon felt he could do more, and his time came when the Vietnam war started; he volunteered at the military hospitals.
In 1955, Szymon fell hard for a beautiful nurse, Lena Johnson. He was surprised to learn of her magical heritage, but it didn't stop him from loving her. They married shortly after and left in 1958 with their newborn daughter to Boston, Massachusetts. He worked in public hospitals again, and later when he retired, he became a part-time lecturer.
Their oldest daughter, Aleksandra, followed in her parent's footsteps in studying medicine and became a doctor herself. Their second child, Zofia, was their feisty and bit a more rebellious child who decided to join the military to become a mechanic. Their only son Jan went into a completely different field of nuclear engineering, and their youngest, Hanna, became a homemaker and was the first to get married of the four.
Tumblr media
Jan Nowak (face claim: Josh Lucas)
Jan is the third child of the Nowak brood and naturally has science through his blood. Though instead of medicine, he was interested in physics and nuclear sciences. During elementary school, he always partook in science fairs and did well for himself. His parents helped too naturally and were excited that he was interested in sciences.
During middle and high school, Jan always preferred soccer over American football and played for the team. Later, he studied nuclear engineering at university as a cleaner and better alternative power source for global warming and running out of fossil fuels.
After graduating from university, Jan met his first wife, Susan, and they had a son together, Michael. Their marriage was a rocky one, and they realised that they rushed into marriage too early. They divorced after five years together, but they had a very amicable relationship and co-parented their son well.
His mates invited him years later to join them on vacation to Ibiza, and there at one of the bars, he met an English woman, Elizabeth Lewis. What was meant to be a one-night stand turned into a long-term relationship. Elizabeth then moved to America, and Jan took his time. After three years of dating, they married and had their first daughter, Isla. But Elizabeth was homesick and wanted to move back to Southampton near her family. Jan didn’t want to move far away from his other child, but he moved nevertheless.
They had Flynn and Harper later in England and Jan was always tighter with his two youngest. He shared his sports passion with them and always noticed that Flynn’s talent for sports. While he was surprised about Flynn’s magic abilities and later Harper he accepted it more readily and was prepared to send them to Hogwarts. Elizabeth not so much. Jan was surprised of his own magical heritance when his news spread about his grandparents.
Tumblr media
Elizabeth Nowak née Lewis (face claim: Samantha Spiro)
Elizabeth Lewis is an English muggle raised in a middle-class family in Southampton, England. As a young girl, Elizabeth always got what she wanted and prided her intelligence. She went off and studied to become a pharmacist and purely believes in science as she finds that magic is nonsense for children.
Elizabeth managed to get into Oxford university and later worked for a private pharmaceutical company as she climbed the work ladder. She met her fiancee at work but broke up with him she found out he was cheating on her. To get over the heartbreak, her best friends booked a flight to Ibiza to drink and party to forget about him. On a bar-hopping spree, Elizabeth accidentally spilt her drink on an American man, Jan Nowak. Neither intended for a relationship to develop, but it did, and soon Elizabeth found herself in America to be closer to Jan. They married and had their daughter, Isla. Still, Elizabeth wanted to be back home in England even though she knew it would mean Jan leaving his first son.
Jan reluctantly agreed and moved to Southampton near her family. They had two more children, Flynn and Harper. Elizabeth was dumbfounded when she found out that her son had magic. She refused to send her son off to Hogwarts and wanted him to stay on the plan she had for all her children but was later forced to accept that Hogwarts was better for him. When Harper received her letter, Elizabeth didn’t take her chances like with Flynn and allowed her youngest to attend Hogwarts too.
Tumblr media
Isla Helena Nowak (face claim: Jessica Barden)
Isla is an ordinary muggle, and like her mother, she purely believes in science and thinks magic and the supernatural to be a dumb fairytale story. She is the oldest and the clear favourite of her mother, following in her footsteps in pursuing a career in sciences at a prestige University. Though like her other siblings, she has her father’s sports appetite but in cycling and later partook in several cycle marathons for charity.
She always struggled to get along with her younger siblings, especially her brother, Flynn. Though it usually came from a place of a bit of envy that he could have an alternative path instead of university. Later, when she, along with the rest of the family, found he had magic, Isla grew envious that he gets to go to a boarding school, which is a castle and has superpowers which can be used for better things. The living apart situation did distance Isla from her siblings but closer to her mother.
Isla went to Oxford university and studied biomedical sciences for her bachelor's and master's degrees. She moved there and lessened her contact with her family. Isla found work as a microbiologist later on.
Tumblr media
Flynn Gabriel Nowak (face claim: Belmont Cameli)
The only son of Jan and Elizabeth, Flynn is stuck between his two sisters though he always gets with Harper better than with Isla. While he never got either of his parent’s intelligence, he had his father’s sports talents. He is a muggleborn by definition but doesn’t know or at least for a long time didn’t know of his great grandparents.
Flynn had always found school hard to concentrate on and could never sit still. He frustrated his mum and teachers, but they never would look further into why and would continue to cause trouble while never it being his intention. Though at the tender age of six, his father noticed his talents for sports, particularly football. Flynn loved being on the pitch, moving and found that he could go with his gut. He made it far to the team for the junior championship league.
All his coaches agreed that Flynn would make it far but were surprised by his disappearance for nine months a year in high school. His parents would excuse him that they had to send him to boarding school after a suspicion involving magic, and he is practising there. The reality was that Flynn was at Hogwarts and maintained his practice through quidditch. While not the same thing, Flynn tried his best to keep up with his football, still keeping his path in life.
After being told all those years that he would make it big as a footballer, Flynn failed to make it into the Southampton team. Being crushed by the fact he watched everything he worked for the crumble in front of his face though he remained optimistic. Flynn knew education wasn’t for him, so he went for the next best thing he was good at, quidditch. Despite finding work as a reserved beater, he lost his passion for sports and was the first so uncertain of himself and his future.
As luck would have it, he and his siblings received a large mystery inheritance from the passing of his grandmother, which led his father, his aunts, his siblings and cousins to learn of their magical heritage. Flynn decided to use it to travel and see where life took him. Though he lost that money quickly and didn’t want to turn to his parents for help, so he worked odd jobs as a waiter or in the kitchen. Initially, as a way to make quick money turned into a passion again for making food. Flynn loved the adrenaline rush that came with cooking and trusting his gut that he started to work as a chef apprentice and later decided to venture on his own, opening a restaurant with his best friend, Jonathan King @whatwouldvalerydo.
Tumblr media
Harper Ilona Nowak (face claim: Aimee Lou Wood)
Harper is the youngest of the Nowaks and, like her brother, a muggleborn. Avoiding their mistake the first time with Flynn, her parents allowed her to attend Hogwarts immediately after getting her letter.
Harper was neither interested in science or university nor sports. Instead, she would love to daydream and try out many things and partook in many clubs at her primary school. She has always been creative, always crafting stuff as gifts for her loved ones. When she received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, she was ecstatic to be joining her brother, Flynn, at Hogwarts. However, Harper was sorted into Hufflepuff, but she quickly found friends.
At Hogwarts, she was excited about the arts and quickly learned how to use magic to bring her art and crafts to life. Though in her third year at a quidditch match supporting her brother, she caught a flying stray quaffle with her bare hands. It hurt, but it got Harper intrigued about quidditch prompting her to play chaser for fun.
Later in life, Harper rejected the idea of the university too, which upset her mother, but she opted for an art course at college instead. She works hard as a children's illustrator for both muggles and wizards.

Season 3 x 5
I'm hoping this one's good but last episode left big shoes to fill...
With that, live reaction below.
Starting off right when they take the body away. Thor is excited about telling the story of watching his body decay.
Jay OMG.
HETTY you're not helping.
Oh, Pete's such a good guy. Laughing at the Donut Holes. LMAO.
LMAO - Trevor "Epic" to his body being found.
YOU DON'T NEED to borrow the money from Isaac. It's YOUR money.
TREVOR! telling on Jay.
Founding Farter???
WHY TREVOR?? You're not helping? (Although I do like Isaac listening to him). 'cause he's right - bad business people.
Trevor didn't go to Warton. He went to Penn.
LOL - no they aren't. I might be able to like this episode.
NANCY! Love the ghost dating.
Carol asking Pete if he's dating someone? OMG.
Hetty/Sass wanting to know what's in her purse. They are hilarious.
DONT LIE AGAIN. (Didn't you learn the last time?). I do like Carol assuming that it's okay to move on and being happy for him.
PETE getting mad about this. "I SERVED MY TIME."
THOR! OMG.
LMAO - Jay is right. BUT OMG Isaac walking in on that.
Nose candy? OMG THIS SASS/HETTY SL. I LOVE IT.
Also you can only touch things when the same person touching it - how does that work for HMONEY????
AWWWW Alberta! DAMN ALBERTA. He was so thinking that.
OH FUCK TREVOR. You put in it a brokerage account.
ALSO why does it take him so long some times and not long other times?? Wouldn't the computer time out??
ALSO "WE KNOW TREVOR."
OMG $200,000 - I love it. WAIT FUCK. OMG Trevor made them ALOT OF MONEY.
NO NO NO. Isaac, it's HER MONEY.
Or Trevor's Money since he did the work.
Trevor's impressed.
OMG Pete - THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T LIE.
OOOOOH PETEEEE.
I'm DYING. This is terrible.
Ohhhhhh, Carol is like "I don't know from experience." Yes, you do.
A cat magnet???
I do like this solution. I mean, like Isaac should realize that THEY OWE HIM NOTHING.
URINATING ON THE FLOOR????
"Isaac's House of Horse Pie?"
YES JAY STAND UP FOR THINGS!
OKay, NOT A REAL PERSON?? That's a bit far.
He did deserve to be stepped through. BUT PLEASE DON'T CAVE.
He took a bath in tomato sauce?
I don't think that's fair to Jay AT ALL.
Unclogging videos?
"In my experience... logistics." Oh, god.
Alberta calling him hot stuff.
I do like that Pete's finally standing up for himself to Carol. I love Pete! He's finally doing it. That he's told her that he knows about the affair (which she should've realized) and that it was all faked with Alberta/Nancy. It also explains why he doesn't say anything about his feelings for Alberta PRIOR to that first episode with Carol even if it was obvious.
OMG Hetty/Sass and Candy. - DAMN. Might be my favorite side plot.
Sass - they choose Higginstoot????
Awww Isaac's Table. For Isaac and his friends.
Love Hetty calling it a terrible business decision.
Isaac- LMAO.
Awwww that was sweet. I do like the ghosts being about to be surrounded by people and smells again - They were missing some friends though. Alberta? Pete? Nigel (his fiancé?)
HOLY SHIT - this is an Alberta fantasy yes? or or is that his power??? I'm Curious WTF.
YOU CAN'T END LIKE THAT!
I'm screaming.
OVERALL Good Episode after all.
Come Talk to Me People!

CBS Ghosts Reviews: A Traveling Agent
I found the penultimate episode of this season to be delightful. Pete discovering his super awesome power completely on accident (I agree with Alberta that he got his power because he was a travel agent who never traveled and here's his chance now, but I also think it's fun that they gave one of the most practical ghosts one of the most practical and useful powers.) And plus, Isaac and Nigel had the perfect shocked looks when Pete went over the ghost boundary.
As I said before, I applaud the writers for trying to give us Pete and Jay bonding time, but it was obvious that Jay would lose him, although through no fault of his own since he has no way to see or communicate with Pete the way Sam can, and for Pete's first trip, the three of them should have gone and worked out a system if possible for Jay to be able to see or otherwise communicate with Pete away from Sam.
However, Jay's descriptions of where he went after he left Pete were just SO Jay and SO funny (especially Sas and Hetty's different reactions to hearing about all the fast food Jay is consuming, *especially* Hetty's "You are a *chef*, sir!") I also loved how Pete not wanting to go on errands with Jay reminded her of her butler not wanting to go out during the consumption outbreak of '84. They gave her some funny lines in this episode!) Also, Sas saying that all the fast food means Jay is living his best life definitely puts him in position as Pete's second ghost friend and I would like to see more development of this relationship in the future.)
I always love to be taken to new places and see what sorts of ghosts are outside of Woodstone and I think the deal mart or whatever they called it did not disappoint. I *love* that they had trampled Black Friday shoppers as ghosts, who seemed like really lovely people on top of it. That poor woman has to carry the tv around for all time now but let it be a lesson to her. And I love the guy's ghost power to make people forget why they were in aisles.
Deal Mart after Dark was intense, and was I surprised that they actually gave us a ghost with a Cleaver in his brain like something out of Ghost Whisperer or the Sixth Sense? Yes I was, and no wonder Pete was terrified. I would have been too. Especially since at first I thought they would be nice like the fish in the tank in Finding Nemo but...nope. Thank goodness for Gloria and her TV holding them off.
I was a little worried for him when he was out there in the dark but as Hetty says, he has a good sense of direction and other skills from scouting that got him home, so that's good. (I wonder how he doesn't know who Barack Obama and Eli Manning are, though. I realize he died in '85 and has never left the mansion since but I'm sure Sam's had the TV on or that it's just generally been on with them talked about on it. Or not? Or did he just not pay attention? Curious thing.)
Loved seeing him mad when he finally got back because as someone who's a bit of a homebody, sometimes it DOES feel weird when I got out to somewhere other than work and it takes time to get acclimated in ways that more outgoing, outdoorsy people wouldn't understand. So I was glad to hear him say something. (I also loved him smelling the s'mores, that was funny.) And Sas' "Describe a bus" and Isaac describing a fire truck instead was just one of my favorite parts.
Also, making them all a throple was an interesting way to resolve Flower/Thor/Nancy and I'll be interested to see how their different personalities all play out, although I've lost faith in Thor being genuinely compelling in a romantic relationship and would much rather just see Flower and Nancy doing something but who knows what's gonna happen with that?
All in all a good episode, like I said, and now we have a wedding to prepare for next week (hopefully interrupted by Patience the Feral Puritan, please, please, please!) Also I really am nervous about the cliffie that Asher Grodman said we're gonna see. It's gonna be even more intense than the season two cliffie. I'm just gonna prepare to cry or be outraged. I don't know about the rest of you. Cheers!
