Can you stop trying to correct people about pronouns? Toby Fox has never said that Kris is non-binary. He uses they/them pronouns for the same reasons most video games do with player characters. He left the player's character up to interpretation so you can see them as you like most video games. it's fine if you use they them pronouns but you can't force others to accept something that is your opinion.

It frustrates me that you would automatically assume Kris would use he/him. If I was going by your "player" logic, Kris would be using she/her. ACTUALLY if we were going by your full logic, Kris theoretically uses any/all pronouns, to accommodate for all players. Rethink and dissect what you are trying to say, sweetpea :/

Kris has only been using they/them in game. And that is what I will be sticking with.

er, no--i don't really like using player theory--as in, the player as a discreet, extradimensional entity--in my undertale stories. I prefer frisk being the one to have agency, for either good or bad, rather than try tackling undertale's meta-narrarive; I don't think I'm smart enough to pull it off =u=;;

i think it’s silly to say everything the mc does in no mercy informs chara’s personality or everything they do in pacifist informs frisk’s personality when there’s explicit references to chara as the protagonist in pacifist and there’s evidence of frisk participating in the protagonist’s actions in no mercy

yknow i try to not actively hope for specific things for deltarune’s story because who KNOWS wtf toby’s plans are for that but if there’s one thing i genuinely really really hope for its that papyrus gets to be treated as an actual serious character instead of just comic relief or whatever

ok so anyway while were on the topic of fanfiction it pisses me off to no fucking end when fanfic authors depict papyrus as some naive gullible sweet innocent little kid who doesnt know or understand anything, ESPECIALLY if its a fic dealing with monster racism and xenophobia. ive seen so many fucking fanfics talking about that where papyrus is written as some sort of innocent ball of sunshine who cant understand the harsh reality he lives in....... like shut the FUCK UP!!!!! he KNOWS!!! the thing is hes SMART and KIND and WILL NOT LET YOU BE MEAN TO HIM!!!!!! thats why he reacts positively even if you pick the mean dialogue options in the game!!! he KNOWS youre trying to hurt his feelings but he wants to be your friend SO BAD he LITERALLY will not let you!!!!! and it works!!!!!! hes not stupid!!!!! you guys are just ableist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* ok pinned post time uhh

* I’ve already shared info about my au (more on twitter than on here), but I thought I’d make a pinned post so that the important stuff is in one place and it’s easy to find

* ok so the au is an Undertale/MLB au, mostly focusing on the Undertale characters, specifically Mettaton and Papyrus, but a few Miraculous characters will be important. And some will be changed, as Lila, Felix, and Kagami will be older and Adrien will not be around.

* the story would kind of be the same as the show’s story, but everything will be more connected and several things will be added/removed/changed depending on what I think might work better.

* this whole starts 5 years after the monsters are freed from the Underground, Papyrus is a famous fashion model after being the monster ambassador, Mettaton is now a drama/theater teacher at the same school Alphys and Undyne work at, all the kids (Frisk, Kris, Noelle, Susie, etc) are now in the 9th grade, their last year of middle school, so yeah that’s what they’ll be doing. There’s more but I don’t want this thread to be too long.

* this whole thing takes place during 1 school year (except for Origins, which is a few days before)

* Papyrus and Sans did come from Deltarune’s world, they were taken the day before Papyrus’ birthday and neither of them know how they really got there until “Truth”

* Papyrus is a sentimonster, in Deltarune’s world Gaster had the peacock miraculous and created him since he wasn’t able to replicate what he did to create Sans. His amok is split between two fidget rings he had. Now Gabriel has those rings and Papyrus has replicas that he believes are the originals.

* the reason for Mettaton’s career change will be explained/hinted at throughout the story, and then fully explained in Derision

* Papyrus’ love for Ladybug wouldn’t be romantic, just admiration, but due to outside influence he feels like it has to be romantic, so he tries to get himself to love Ladybug, but after a while he decides to stop and just ignore what he thinks other people think he should do.

* characters that aren’t really important in Undertale like the Ruins Dummy or Fuku Fire will be more important

* Frisk still has the most determination and the power to save/reload, although there are a few times where Gabriel has that power

* Mad Mew Mew will have a character arc similar to Chloe’s, except she’ll actually change (& she’d just be less awful in general)

* there’s more things I want to say, but I’m just copying and pasting all of this from twitter and I didn’t want to make that thread too long, so I won’t make this post too long
