Thinking more about that AU where Evan sort of knows things are wrong.. He doesn't know how but he knows he's supposed to be dead. He also notes that all of his family are monsters. Sometimes in the low light of midnight he can see the monsters his family really are. The rotting rabbit thing stalking through the halls of their house for a midnight drink, The horrible trash clown with a sharp tooth grin brushing her teeth in the mirror next to him But worst of all is the twisted dead purple thing that Michael becomes when it's night.

No one else can see any of this of course but Evan knows it's real Evan knows it's the future and he knows nothing he does will stop it...

I'm a guy who's silly and refers to doing things in a way he's not used to as 'fish and ladders' and writes fanfiction from my canon-divergent memories and when I fractured 3 ribs I said it could be worse because I could have fractured 3 ribs in Jersey (Donnie didn't like that) and I bite chunks out of foam blocks and treat normal situations as a stealth mission and I set my alarm to the ROTTMNT main themes (in hopes that it helps me Rise out of bed *finger guns*) and I'm silly goofy.

Yes of course Evan finds the horrifying Monsters he sees his family for at night all horrifying. His father's monster is a close second only for the time he walked in to find instead of eating the bowl of spaghetti that he was in reality, Spring trap was devouring a still alive possum. But his least favorite is the thing Michael becomes. Michael is already scary, But when he is rotting and stinks of death and mildew, When his chest is bare showing a writhing mass of silver worms, When his jaw on hinges and his insides fall out, Evan is truly scared....

Weird & Wonderful Wednesday

Ah, more fractured fairytales, and the start of Harrow’s series that’s called Fractured Fairytales. In this case it’s about Zinnia Gray. She’s about to turn 21, which is as old as she’s going to get since because of an illness she got. No one else with that illness has lived past 21.

Of course, that would be a boring book (and sorta short). Zinnia’s best friend Charm wants to make Zinnia’s last birthday an awesome one, with a Sleeping Beauty theme. Except, when Zinnia actually pricks her finger, well, suddenly she’s adventuring through the multiverse, alongside another ‘Sleeping Beauty’ named Primrose.

Like a proper fractured fairytale, this takes these fairytales and tilts them on their head, or their side, or sorta upside down and inside out. The characters were really fun, and unique, and it was a fast read too. And, it is the first book too, with the second out as well.
