I’ve been too busy getting really in to Echoic Memory to play these properly, but…

Forrest Byrnes is Up in Smoke is a really nice 2D platformer with a strong Amiga/PC shareware feel from its huge well-animated sprites and smooth, low-inertia movement. Probably owes a debt to Shovel Knight which I have never played. A Firewatch spinoff apparently?

Battleship Godios is Breakout Gradius?! Inspired. And there’s no game over - you crank to roll back time through a combination of input and mechanic you won’t find on any other console.

Bliss is the Guardian of Positivity and Dusk is the Guardian of Negativity. Comet and Umbra just help their brothers with it. On Earth, however, Umbra is an artist and Comet is a singer.

Valentin is a rough-and-tumble dance teacher. Tarantella is Valentin's dance teaching partner. Waltz and Merrick are both idols.

Gael is a very famous and popular sorcerer for hire. Zayn is also a sorcerer for hire. Smolder and Holden are sorcerers for hire as well, but they pick up lighter jobs.

Elryc is a sorcerer who avoids involving himself with others. Relic, Beyron, and Blaise are all sorcerers for hire.

Rune works for Dusk and is a very dangerous fighter. Runar and Rhydian work with Tusche to get their brother back.

Forrest and Juniper are guards of Laurel. Adair is a licensed doctor.

Morte is a guide in the dark as well as a worker for Dusk. Draven, and Granite work with Tusche to get their brother back.

Lucien is a guide in the light. Vitale and Vitus help fight and guide.

Lenovo is the Destroyer of AUs and Virus helps him sometimes. Virus is a professional hacker. Lenovo is very fond of knitting.

Truth or Death, the intro

I’m back, bitches. Once a tumblr girlie always a tumblr girlie!! 

I’ve never written a book before, or had a particularly strong desire to, until I came up with the plot for Truth or Death. And for the past eight months, I’ve been working on it almost obsessively. Although there’s no end in sight I’m having a GREAT time. After all, I’ll only get to write this once! I’m starting this tumblr to track my progress as I work through the manuscript. 

With a massive shelf of textbooks, a frog named Mort, and an unfinished medical degree, Andie Bianchi has been obsessed with death since she was a wee, freaky, young child. No one is surprised she’s found herself working at Forrest’s Funeral Home, Chicago’s most coveted funeral parlor, as Mortician’s Assistant. Although she’s an expert at the ambiguous, her coworker, Felix Byrne is an enigma to her. They don’t particularly like each other, and they definitely don’t understand each other. But when Felix’s estranged father dies under questionable circumstances, Andie may be his only hope in finding out the truth of Edward Byrne’s life and death.

This enemies-to-lovers rom-com balances knowledge, truth, and control with mystery, fate, and secrecy; love and hate; humor and melancholy. 

I started writing with the most basic plot idea so it’s been a discovery as I move forward. I’m about 43,000 words in, but this number goes up and down as I flesh things out, go back and edit, and keep going.

I hope one day that this book gets published, and that people who enjoy the book can see its journey. Or, it can just be for me, so I can look back proudly at work I’m extremely proud of. Either way, enjoy!
