Design notes for Purin. Purin's entire design philosophy is to be "round". Her bangs and bob cut are shaped to make a near perfect circle and her eyes and eyebrows follow suit.
Only one of her ears is ever seen poking out her hair at a time to reveal her looped earring. Purin is somewhat of a tomboy, opting not to wear many skirts and dresses in favor of jeans and pajama pants. It is very rare she chooses to apply makeup, and generally speaking, is not drawn with many visible eyelashes.
There's a running theme that all of her outfits have some form of cow motif to them (Moooo!, Steakhouse, Veal, etc.) This has been continued with other animals, but is most consistent with cows.
At some point, Purin dies and is reincarnated as Flanny. Flanny is all of Purin's vices dialed up to an 11/10, but visually, she is the same dimensions as her human counterpart. She is a flan flavored slime creature that is semi-transparent, and can shapeshift at will. While she can make 100% identical copies of anyone that she has tasted the DNA of, she is locked into being a brown and yellow color scheme, making it almost impossible to truly fool anyone.

Horace and Ferris are the Literal Opposites of Each Other
~ A compilation mixed with canon and probably not canon ~
[Image ID: A doodle done during the making of a separate comic. Two people at the top, young Will and young Halt, have text pointed at them saying, "Loves fiercely." Two people at the bottom of the page, young Horace and young Ferris, has two different texts pointed at them. Horace has, "Bad turned good," and Ferris has, "Good turned bad." /End ID]
[Image ID: A page from the 8th book. "'... He felt he had been cheated out of his birthright. Cheated by me,' he added.
Horace shook his head in disbelief. 'That's crazy. It wasn't your fault you were born first.'
Halt smiled sadly at Horace. (italicized) So honest. So straightforward. So free of deceit and jealousy. If there were more men like Horace, and fewer like my brother, the world would be a better place, (end italicized) he thought." /End ID]
More:
Ferris = royal, Horace = poor, literal orphan
Ferris = loved/spoiled by parents, Horace = literal orphan, not spoiled in the slightest
Horace likes Halt, and admits his mistakes
Horace is willing to do whatever need be for the kingdom, and strictly follows the rules (before Halt comes along).
Horace knows how to fight, Ferris does not.
Horace touches grass, Ferris needs to
Horace gets a wife
Horace is not paranoid like Ferris is
etc. etc.

I think this cutie pie is going to be one of my new ocs, she is just going to be called flan lover for now as I try to come up with a real name for her.
Edit: Her official name is now Flanny! Credits to the person who came up with her name in the comments of this post!

So you know how everyone is confused over Blaze's gender. Some back says shes a girl, some books says hes and boy. Well I propose a sollution to that problem:
You're probably aware that when a ranger horse can no longer be used or is injured, like Tug in The Wolf story, then they get replaced with a horse that is exactly the same.
What if Gilan's first Blaze was a he. But when he had to get a new horse, the horse that they had ready for him was a she. They didn't have any male horses to match with original horse so they had to use Blaze, the female one, because she was the closest they were going to get. Gilan didn't mind too much though, he was still just disappointed about having to give up the old Blaze as to be expected.
So the first few books where Blaze is a he, that is where the original Blaze is. When he gets switched out for a she, thats when Gilan gets a new horse.
Please consider this idea, because I don't know if theres really any other way to settle wether Blaze is a girl or a boy.
