I have the pleasure and honor to have a lot of firefighters as my friends and patients. Remember that firefighters are at higher risk for different types of cancer. There are many theories on the subject. The bottom line is, whether you are my patient, or you see someone else, get tested and screened religiously. Check your health, check inflammatory markers, check tumor markers, and check your hormones. Do this minimum twice per year, ideally every 3 months...
