4. "Hemû gelên ku li Komara Tirkiyeyê dijîn Henefî ne." Bê guman têgehek xelet e. %50ê komara Tirkiyê Henefî û %50 jî şafîî ne. Kesên ku ji mezheba Henefî ne, piraniya wan tirk in, piraniya wan jî kurd in. Hemû kesên li Komara Tirkiyeyê dijîn misilman in." Na, 75% misilman, 0,4% xiristiyan û %? Bo nimûne; Ger Mizgeftek Misilmanek hebe, Krîstiyanek Dêrek hebe, Cihûyek xwedî Kenîseyek, Zerdeştîyek Ogir hebe, an her olek xwedî perestgehek be. Bi gotineke din, kê li kîjan perestgehê dua bike bila bike, ji bo me ferq nake! "1. Bibeje: "Gelî kafiran!" 2. "Ez ji ya ku hûn perestî dikin, nakim." 3. "Û hûn ji ya ku ez perestî dikim, nabin perestî." 4. "Ez perestîya ya ku hûn dikin, nakim." 5." Tu ji ya ku ez îbadetê dikim re îbadetê nakî." 6. "Dînê we ji we re ye û dînê min jî ji bo min e." Sureye Kafirûn ji vê yekê re mînak e!

7. “Gava mijar dibe Mislimanan azadî heye, dema mijar dibe Elewî zilm heye.” Misilman çiqas azad bibe, Elewî jî ewqas azad bibe.

8. "Ji bo hemû welatiyan çûna dersên olî yên mecbûrî ferz e." Na çima. Xiristiyan, cihû, Elewî, Zerdeştî, Êzidî yan jî oleke din vê naxwaze. "La ikrahe fid din." ji bîr neke!

9. "Cejnên olî yên îslamî têne pîroz kirin, lê cejnên olî yên olên din nayên pîroz kirin." Mînak; Misliman Cejna Remezanê, Cejna Qurbanê û cejnên din pîroz dikin, lê dema ku Xiristiyan û kesên ji olên din dixwazin cejnên xwe pîroz bikin, dewlet mudaxele dike.

10. Ji ber vê yekê ez peyva Sekulerîzm bi kar tînim û ne peyva Laîkparêziyê.

Chess Blog Day #39 - The Rules of Chess's Ancestors

Firstly we're gonna take a look at the rules of shatranj because it had consistent rules and some similarities to its parent, chaturanga.

The pieces had the following names:

Pawn: Sarbaz "soldier"

Rook: Rukh "chariot"

Knight: Faras "horse"

Bishop: Pīl "elephant"

Queen: Ferz "counsellor"

King: Shāh "king"

The rook, knight and king moved exactly the same way they do in modern chess.

The pawns moved exactly like they do in modern chess except they couldn't move two squares on their first move and had to promote to a ferz rather than being promoted to a piece chosen by the player.

The ferz and pīl moved like this (unlike the bishop, the pīl could jump over pieces):

Interestingly, much like how modern bishops are restricted to a specific square colour, each pīl was restricted to its own region of the board and they could never capture each other.

Chaturanga's rules are less know to historians. However, the rules are thought to have been similar to shatranj.

Most of the pieces seem to have moved in the same way, but the bishop equivalent (Gaja, "elephant") in chaturanga has three different ways of moving that have been historically documented. One of them is exactly like the pīl. The other two look like this (in the second scenario it could jump like the pīl):

In both shatranj and chaturanga stalemate was considered a win, as was capturing everything except the king. The two positions below would be considered draws in modern chess.

Once the modern queen and bishop moves were added, king safety became more of an issue.

Continuing my DQV playthough.

After struggling against Bjorn, defeating any boss that only takes one action per turn (like Queen Ferz and King Korol) is a breeze.

My children are so cute. I will say, I don't see the point of having twins in the story if only the boy gets to be the Legendary Hero. Plot twist incoming?

Ah yes, I totally remember that. (I picked up this save file again after starting it in 2019.) Interestingly, I've found you can increase your immersion in a game that incorporates 10-year time skips by taking a break from playing it for a few years.

Similarly, I haven't seen my wife in years!!! Hmm. It took 8 years to bring back the Hero statue, right? Does that mean everything since then has progressed over the course of 2 more years in-universe?

Seeing Nadiria in this game is making me more excited than ever for DQM3!

middle stripe color meanings: for berolinapaic, an inversion of the pawnpaic color; for ferzpaic, a lighter version of the queenpaic color; for kirinpaic, a color taken from one of the kirin in mlp:fim (it's the first thing that came to mind); and for wazirpaic, a color i associate with ministers ('wazir' means 'minister' in a few west/south asian languages).

Someone should make a BTD2 mod where Farz is replaced entirely with new, less TINR-esque character. Call him something else like....idk Forz, Ferz, Fearz, Fartz or whatever. Still kinda uses the same model but a lil different. This way people who liked TINR Farz aren't as bothered by his character in game.

Chess Theory is a very popular Deltarune theory that theorizes that the King and Queen of Chapters 1 and 2 are meant to represent the king and queen pieces of chess, the Fun Gang are meant to represent pawns, and the next four chapters will have a main boss be based off of the other pieces (rook, bishop, knight, and pawn), with the seventh chapter having us face either an opposing player (typically Gaster) or an unorthodox/fairy chess piece like the ferz/advisor.

Huh. That’s a neat theory. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get Rook, Bishop, and Pawn characters in later chapters. The Knight was definitely teased.
