fave princesses: Witch and all its routes, Specter and all its routes, Nightmare and all its routes

Fave voices: Stubborn, Skeptic, Smitten. special shout-out to Opportunist for consistently having the best dialogue in the game tho, he sucks and I love him so much

Favorite routes: Razor, Thorn, Damsel

LEGITIMATELY it's so hard to pick but for the sake of giving Some explanation, the razor has to be my favorite for how it exists as the purest subversion of both the story the game is telling (which is itself a subversion of classic monsterslaying fairy tales) and it sort of has to get kind of meta, but it leans into it SO joyously. you as the protagonist being constantly split because the story plot twisted itself so fucking hard that it just. Broke Everything

and the result is absurd and horrifying and slips away from any kind of growth or cogency until both protagonists are stripped completely bare, and it's weird and it's hilarious and no one is having a good time except for the very AGENT of shifting perspectives, no longer constrained by any world or singular force that matters!

and also. How could I not pick the route that gave us The Look™.

Hi, I'm Zayn. (Not a real name, but please call me this.) I'm 20 years old. I have had an eating disorder (undiagnosed thank God) since I was 13, disordered habits, all my life. These are my diagnoses; general anxiety, C - PTSD, mixed manic episodes (they can diagnose me with BPD at the time), acute psychosis (couldnt diagnosed me with schizophrenia), ADHD, (that I believe to be a misdiagnosis for autism). I have a relatively high starting weight for my height (I am 5 foot 1 and I started at 140ish). I'm currently 87 pounds. I occasionally purge. I do have pica, but I'm currently recovered! I consider myself a junk Rexy, who is addicted to sweets and greasy food (however, I am trying to get better.) I do not do high rez often. I usually limit myself to 700 cal. !!I am not pro ana!! I am very much pro-recovery as I wish that I could recover.

Does Lilith ever beg for forgiveness from Hunter?

I don't think she would have to, because Hunter would forgive her. Both in canon and the Golden Feathers AU. Hunter has been in situations in canon and the AU where he had something held against him (his life/relationship with his uncle in canon, his family in the AU), so if he knows that Lilith believed she was saving her sister he'd probably just want to move on.

Motivations don't change the impact and Lilith has to apologize to Eda, Luz, King, Hunter, Darius, Eber, etc. There's nothing she can do or say that can fix things. All she can do is move forward and be better. In the Golden Feathers AU, if Lilith had known what would happen to Hunter I don't think she would've turned him in and she probably would've gotten the hint that Belos wasn't gonna help Eda because that's kinda the only reason she was still there in the end.

i think the witcher makes me feel a profound sadness every night because it’s about all the things we love so much, or that we wish we had, but can never get back. the tragedy of the uncontrollable. the pain of loss.

ciri, despite her youth and innocence, loses her home and family and then she even her adoptive parents, and then she even loses her youth and her innocence, and is left with nothing but a grotesque scar symbolizing her trauma that doesn’t fit her childlike face and a hardened, green glare. and a sword, which is only a burden.

her parents, despite their incredible love for her, despite all of their agony and sacrifice to get her back, despite their own loss of their honor, their pride, their blood — they lose her too. they lose a child, the most tragic loss of all.

dandelion loses his best friend, clutching at his memories like the weeds growing by loch eskalott, trying to grasp the last twenty years to write his memoires.

milva hears her father’s words when she shoots, and his wheezing echoes in her mind.

regis lost himself, his entire life, all the people he ever loved and chased away.

cahir, despite his large family that loves him more than imperial orders, can never return to darn dyffrya, feel the sun on his face in vicovaro ever again.

angoulême wonders if her mother would have loved her had she not abandoned her, imagines what her hand patting her head in praise could have felt like.

and then geralt loses them. all of them, one by one.

and nimue, reading about it all, can never meet the figures of the legend she has obsessed over for years and years… she has her part to play in it, she can know their voices from dialogues and know their faces from etchings, but will never be able to tell them she loves them, tell them how much they mean to her.

even when they find what they’re searching for, even when they find what they’ve desired so — it’s only for a bittersweet moment. they shortly lose it again. everyone in this series is so intertwined together and caught in the same snare of destiny, and at the very same time so very alone and abandoned
