My new street! I thought it was fitting since my desire now that the girls are in school full time is to focus my energies on writing. For those that may not be aware, Jack London was a famous writer early in the 20th century. My whole neighborhood is actually filled with streets named after famous writers. I love the little signs that God gives me to confirm the path that I am in. As I finishing painting rooms and unpacking, I am excited to get back to writing. MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK The Dressmaker’s Secret is a very interesting and intriguing historical fiction to read. Claire has a good business and is raising her twins herself. No one knows or needs to know who the father is. This is one secret she will keep, even from her daughters. Claire knows her scandalous past cannot be found out. But Alice wants father abd can’t understand why her mother won’t say who he is. So she will just search herself. Kelly Roth does an excellent job writing this story. If you read the More from Kellyn you know how many times this story has been written and changed and how long it took to finally get this story printed. The end results are wonderful! There are a lot if twists and turns throughout the story, with characters you can’t help but love. I felt bad for Claire, her mistake is there to always condemn her. I hoped throughout the book that she will find forgiveness. Will she? Does Alice find the father she so dearly wants? You will need to read this book to find those answers. Author Kellyn Roth is new for me, and I enjoyed the way she handled the situations throughout the book, especially those that were tougher to deal with. I enjoyed her writing very much and can’t wait to read the next book in this series. If you enjoy historical fiction, you will enjoy this one.
