A/N hey there’s another Lando story coming up :)

- It was 10pm in Abu Dhabi and we have arrived late.Lando and I were going to the hotel hopping that we won’t fall asleep on the way.My legs hurt and I could feel my eyes closing every second.I looked at Lando on my left side and he didn’t look any better both of us were exhausted and couldn’t wait to go to sleep.As we climbed to the 5th floor I unlocked the door.My eyes went wide

“Oh shit, there’s only one bed” I said hoping he wouldn’t make a big deal out of it.

“It’s fine i’ll sleep on the floor” Lando said not caring while he struggled to get his luggage in the room

“Uh no it’s fine I mean we can uh.. share it right?I mean we’re friends. I said stuttering knowing how awkward I seem.

“Yeah sure, I don’t want to pressure you” Lando smirked

After we got ready to go sleep we got into to the bed.It was freezing the window was closed but it just felt breezy.We kept fighting over the blanket.

“Ugh Y/N LEAVE MY BLANKET” Lando shouted

“No Lando it’s mine get yourself another one”

“Ugh i’m too lazy to get up” Lando whined

“Fine we can sure” I said rolling my eyes

Lando spooned me behind and held me close.We got to share the blanket and I didn’t feel cold anymore, Lando was the one making sure I wasn’t cold.I was happy that he couldn’t see me blushing but I was screaming inside full of happiness.I’ve had a crush on him ever since I joined Mclaren.Lando got a bit closer and he placed his head on my shoulder.He was snoring so I was sure that he wasn’t aware of what he just did.I couldn’t sleep for some reason but I didn’t want to move to the other side so I wouldn’t wake him up.After a while I’ve heard him murmuring something in his dream..

“Y/n i like you” He said not very clear.

I didn’t say anything because i knew he wouldn’t hear me.I fell asleep soon afterwards.The next morning I woke up unaware of where the hell I am.All i knew was that i felt kind of funny.I knew that. I wasn’t laying on the bed and holy shit..I was on top of him just laying there.Lando placed his hand on my back and he slowly started caressing me.I knew for a fact that he didn’t know I was asleep.After a few moments I stood up.

“Uhm good morning.” I said trying to move to the bed nit wanting this to look awkward

“Morning” Lando smirked, he was still tired

“Uh look Lando I’m sorry, I didn’t know I..”My words were cut out when he placed a kiss on my lips.My eyes went wide,I felt really happy but really confused.It was a mix of emotions.

“Uh sorry I had to get that out of my system”Lando said scratching the back of his neck

“Hmm.. wanna stay a little bit longer in bed and ditch that interview?” Y/n said covering her herself with the blanket

“I’m always up for ditching interviews” Lando said joining me.

I got on top of him and Lando covered us both with the blanket..

Drivers post race 🏁

A very important thread:

I barely know anyone who appreciates the marks and the sweat on a drivers face like I do. So I made a post to prove my case:

Lando posts quite a few of these.

See the marks? I can't explain it, but I do find them quite appealing.

Throw a little sweat in there (and darling, we all know they sweat. Real sweat. They are high performance athletes after all. Ki ki ki sweat sweat.) and the picture is perfect.

I am indeed a woman and I do enjoy F1 a lot. What I am most interested in is strategy, the tires, speed and intervals and gaps they have to each other. (I'm nearly watching the chart on the left more than anything else).

But these pictures of Pierre had me weak in the knees. The little drops? The line highlighting the cheekbones? Magnifique.

The cars are also beautiful and even though Shania Twain sung "okay, so you've got a car? That don't impress me much" it does impress me a lot.

But a sweaty Charles with helmet and balaclava marks is just *chefskiss*

I'm still convinced that the gatekeepers and sexist men are just jealous because they think they can't salivate over a sweaty, post-race Honey Badger (look at him!!!) and that's why they're sour.

and I'm finishing this very important thread with him, because Max seems to be a whole different person post race. I know I'm repeating myself here, but look at that sweat and these marks. Try to convince me that this isn't attractive. Because you can't.

So these drivers are a big, sweaty bonus when watching Formula 1.

emi explains f1: front wings

Welcome to the first part of my F1 Explained series! I'm kicking if off by going through all the different aspects of the car, but since there's a lot of them, today we're just focusing on the front wing, which is the first part of the car.

If you're new to F1 like I am, then there's probably a lot of things you don't understand on the technical side of things, so let's learn about it together.

It's pretty obvious that an F1 car needs to be as aerodynamic as possible to maximise its speed. When you have less than 0.2 seconds separating first and second place in a grand prix, you don't want your car to be the reason you missed out on first place.

The front wing plays a pretty big role in this, and it was something that both perplexed and entertained me a great deal when I watched my first F1 race. I thought it was crazy but also kind of cool how the mechanics could just *swap the entire front wing out* during a pit stop. But what's the point of it?

It actually does a few things!

Downforce - as the car drives around the circuit, the air hits the front wing first and it helps direct the stream of air. One of the reasons it needs to do this is to generate downforce - this is what it sounds like. It forces the car down and helps it stay on the ground. According to F1Chronicle, F1 cars actually generate enough speed for takeoff on straights!

Steering - following on from the point about downforce, directing airflow also helps make the car more responsive and easier to handle and drive around corners

The front tires - the front wing also regulates the air flow around the front tires. By creating a little vortex in front of the tires, the airflow around the tires (and the rest of the car) is improved and reduces the amount of force the car needs to move forwards

Streamline air flow - the front wing also helps streamline the air flow around the car as a whole, which is super important because it helps minimise drag and allows the car to go as fast as it can.

First 2024 F1 car launched

Today Haas showed the first render video and photos of their new VF-24, the car that will be driven by Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg this year. It's the first Haas of the post Steiner era, and the new principal, Ayao Komatsu, is realistic about the performance of the VF-24. He thinks they will probably be at the back of the grid in Bahrain. The car is based on the Austin upgrade from last season and will have it's first short test on sunday 11th. in Silverstone. Nico Hülkenberg will drive. The most noticeable change is the airbox, which isn't triangular anymore.
