Ooo somewhat angsty request: when would be the first time MC saw each of the obey me brothers cry, and what's the best way to support them in that situation?

NOTE: *rubs hands together menacingly* I’ve been waiting for this one 😈 I definitely see myself exploring this idea again in the future (or even redoing this, idk yet tho 👀)

CW: angst (but not soul crushing), all of the guys are very vulnerable in this, gender neutral reader, minor spoilers for the first game (don’t worry, it’s not about *that* scene), no NB spoilers since I’m behind in the game </3

When you see LUCIFER cry for the first time, it was late at night, where he believed that he was the only soul awake in the house- until you poked your head in the study, concern etched on your face.

He had one of his cursed records playing, the gentle music softly filling the air as he poured another glass of Demonus, gloves long forgotten. The simple smile he wore on his face only was a mask of what he was feeling.

He looked so…tired. So defeated.

“I try to give my brothers a good life- a life not only reminiscent of the one they lost from before, but a life even better than that. A life that they deserve.” He began, finger toying with the rim of his glass. “But I failed.”

You remained quiet as Lucifer let out a bitter laugh, “I failed- I let all of them down. I let down my brothers, I let down Lord Diavolo, I let down Michael, I let down my Father- all of them. I‘ve became a disappointment in the Celestial Realm, and I’m continuing to do so even now in the Devildom.”

You’ve never seen Lucifer so vulnerable before- you’ve always seen him act so unbothered, his pride refusing to let him reveal too much. He’s always been the one to lead, the one his family would go to for anything, the one that would sacrifice himself without a moment’s hesitation. He was the glue holding everything together, but everything wears thin with time.

He picked up the glass, swirling it around before setting back down with a harsh thud, sighing.

“I’ve let you all down. And that in and of itself is unforgivable-“

Lucifer flinched when he felt your hand on his cheek, thumb gently wiping under his eye. He was confused for a moment before he felt something wet trail down his other cheek. He wiped at it only to notice his vision getting a bit blurry-

How long has it been since he cried?

A few of his tear drops landed on his documents below, yet as he glanced up at you, you didn’t say a word. You didn’t point out how unguarded he was being, you didn’t interrupt him- you merely listened and wiped away his tears with a gentle smile lining your cheeks.

Lucifer couldn’t stop his tears after that, and he found himself grasping onto you as they continued.

When you see MAMMON cry for the first time, it’s in your room.

He was avoiding everyone today including you, and while it left you worried, you gave him some space. When you got back to your room, you noticed the door ajar- and when you opened it fully, you noticed a figure curled into your bed, a mop of messy white hair poking out from your blankets. You peeked over to see if he was asleep-

You didn’t have time to react as he grabbed and pulled you down to him.

Mammon buried his head into the crook of your neck and tightened his arms around you, hiding his face completely.

You wanted to ask what was wrong- what he was going through, for him to talk to you- but no words needed to be exchanged as he shook in your grasp, feeling your shirt getting damp. You didn’t have it in you to ask anymore.

All you did was comb your fingers through his locks as he quietly sobbed.

You’re not sure how long you stayed there, curled up against one another, but he eventually went still, soft snores passing through his lips.

It didn’t matter what the issue was- whether it was just a bad day or worse- you would always be there for him.

When you see LEVIATHAN cry for the first time, it’s in the privacy of his room.

You were binge-watching a new anime, one that had you both invested. It was about an immortal finding love after centuries- you were surprised Levi wanted to finish watching it after discovering it was a romance, but you were glad nonetheless (even if he couldn’t hide his flushed face).

You were nearing the end of the series when you heard sniffling.

You glanced to see Levi with tears building up in his eyes, threatening to fall.

You tried to look away but he already caught you staring.

The tips of his ears were burning red as he flinched, “Don’t- don’t look at me MC!”

“Levi, you know there’s nothing wrong with crying right?”

“Sti-Still! It’s embarrassing!”

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about! It’s sad, it’s emotional-“ you explained. “If it makes you feel better, I kinda want to cry too.” Which wasn’t a lie- your eyes were starting to sting a little. You knew how the outcome was going to be for the main characters, but it still felt like a gut punch to see.

You didn’t want to overwhelm Levi, so you gently linked your pinkie with his. You were happy that he didn’t flinch away from you this time.

“Just know that you’re not alone, okay?”

Levi shyly nodded his head, and you felt him slightly squeeze your pinkie. He knew that he wasn’t, but that wasn’t what got him emotional.

What got him emotional was seeing the immortal, holding their elderly lover in his arms as they passed on. The lover aged as time passed, but the immortal stayed the same- except they were alone again like how they were centuries ago.

No matter how many happy moments the characters had in the show together, it was bound to end in tragedy.

And it brought Levi back to reality.

Back to the reality that he would eventually lose you in the same way.

When you see SATAN cry for the first time, it was in his demon form.

You’ve seen him before like this after he lashed out in the past, spiky tail whipping furiously behind him, green eyes showing nothing but fury. You know that he tries to keep his anger under control, but it still got the best of him at times.

But you didn’t see any anger this time.

You only saw anguish.

There Satan was, kneeled on the ground with tears welling up in his eyes with ripped and scattered objects tossed around the room, a result of destructive rage from before.

“I’ll never been seen for myself, will I?”

Satan’s eyes stayed on the ground, never meeting your own. “I’ll only ever be seen as my sin, as an extension of my older brother- never as myself.”

He shoulders trembled as he let out a bitter laugh that filled the room.

“I know I shouldn’t expect anything different. I should be used to it by now, but- why does it still bother me?”

His smile did nothing to hide his pain, crystal tears cascading down his cheeks.

“Why does it still hurt MC?”

You joined him on the floor and pulled him in your arms, holding onto him as he broke down.

When you see ASMODEUS cry for the first time, you thought it was a ploy at first.

You’ve seen Asmo bring tears to his eyes on a whim when he’s trying to get his way or be dramatic, so to see the same thing happen now wasn’t anything new. You were painting each others nails when you asked him if he’s ever been in love before-

“Of course MC! I love all of my fans dearly and they love me-“

“No, not that kind of love. Like true love- has someone ever told you they love you genuinely?”

“Hm, I don’t…”

When you saw the dejected look in his eyes, you became aware that it wasn’t a ploy at all.

You didn’t look up when he went quiet, concentrating on finishing the final coat on his nails. It wasn’t until you saw something wet drip onto his hand that made you glance up, seeing a single tear roll down his cheek with a forced smile.

“…I don’t know.” He choked out.

Asmo always soaked in the admiration from his fans- but that’s all it was, admiration. They loved the Asmo that they saw in the Fall, the Asmo that they saw on Devilgram- they loved the Asmo that they saw, but did they really know him enough to say they truly love him?

Did they love the Asmo you see or Asmodeus, the Avatar of Lust?

“People love me and I love my fans, but why does it still feel so empty?” The smile on his face that he was so used to flashing soon fell, more tears steadily rolling down his flushed cheeks.

Despite what his sin is, Asmo did believe in true love. He believed that one day he found find someone to pour his heart and soul into and get the same in return. Even after he fell and lost his beautiful wings, he still held on to his wish of finding that person.

He started to imagine that person was you.

But he was scared that you didn’t picture him that way. That you only saw him as the Avatar of Lust.

For once, Asmo felt insecure, and he could do nothing but soak in the warmth he was afraid of losing as you held him sobbing.

When you saw BEELZEBUB cry for the first time, it catches you off guard.

You only went to grab some water, waking up and walking to the kitchen in your dazed state.

It wasn’t a surprise to see Beel there with a meal- but it was a surprise to see him wiping away tears, food untouched.

Any sleepiness washed away when you rushed to him, already by his side, asking him what’s wrong.

“I had another nightmare.” He sniffled, refusing to make eye contact with his body tense. “About Lilith.”

Your breath hitched- Beel told you once about his nightmares, but never what it was about. You only assumed how horrible it was from the faraway look he had in his eyes. It never crossed your mind that it was about his sister-

“I saw her MC- it’s always the same,” Beel balled up his fists, baring his fangs. “I’m always too late to save her- why couldn’t I save her?!”

He was no longer hiding his frustration or tears, which were freely rolling down his cheeks. All you could do was listen as he tried his best not to break down under the kitchen lights.

“You protected her, Beel.” You softly spoke, reaching to hold his hand. “You all did more than enough to protect her, and I know that she doesn’t blame you.” You lightly squeezed his hand, “She knows that it’s not your fault. None of it was.”

You’re not sure how long you sat there holding Beel, sobbing out broken apologies to his dear sister who would never hear them.

When you see BELPHEGOR cry for the first time, it was in his sleep.

You spent the night in the twins room, bundled up next to him as you were beginning to doze off. Belphie clung on to you, mumbling something incoherent as he slept. But before you could get lost in your dreams, you felt his grip growing tighter around you.

You brushed off the minor discomfort, only turning to then hear something that truly woke you up-

Belphie whimpering.

You blinked away any sleepiness, turning to see his face twisted in pain, fresh tear staining his cheeks. His hands were clenching onto you tight, whimpering soon turning into a chorus of “no” and “please”.

You shook him awake before he could continue, hair stuck to his forehead as his eyes shot open, panting. He scanned the room before landing on you, pulling you closer into him, hiding his face in the crook of your neck. No doubt he had a nightmare.

“Do you want to talk about it?”

Belphie took a long pause. “…Everyone hated and blamed me for everything, for all of our problems. You all forced me to leave, and I was casted out of my home- again.”

You did nothing but soothe him as you felt him tremble again, your neck becoming damp as he started to quietly sob. “You know that won’t ever happen Belphie-“

“I don’t want to talk about it anymore. Just- stay with me…please?”

“Of course.”

You felt his tail wrap around your waist as he sobbed out a thank you. You combed your fingers through his locks, lulling him back to sleep- hopefully to better dreams.

some details on what im tentatively calling wizard married au- in which betty is here from the start and happily magic married to her equally deranged husband.

past

like canon, betty flees when simon first wears the crown. however, there is no portal to the future this time. she finds somewhere else to stay, and during that time, she begins researching. she can tell that wasnt normal. surely if it had just been simon, he would have shown some symptoms of whatever that breakdown was. it had to have been the crown.

she pours herself into her research. it saves her life, because a few weeks later the bombs drop.

she uses her research to attain magic powers, a la magic betty. like simon, she obtains immortality. however, she loses her sanity the more she uses her magic.

a while after the bombs, she finally meets simon again. by this time hes picked up a travel buddy- marceline. the two of them are relieved and happy to see each other.

the apocalypse ironically saves their relationship.

turns out knowing you and your man are going insane and losing your memories is a pretty sobering, emotional thing to really grasp. it ends up breaking the wall between them, and theyre finally, finally able to begin sorting out the issues in their relationship.

this is an important moment between them. even when they fully lose themselves, it becomes the basis of their future relationship. betty starts doing things for herself, and simon starts paying more attention so he can stop her if she starts focusing too much on him again.

its never easy, but for a while, they get a sort of peace. a surprise family at the end of the world.

simon loses it first. during the night, when marceline is asleep, he tells betty that he has to go. hes held on longer than canon simon thanks to betty being around, but hes finally slipping, and hes worried hes going to hurt marcy. sure, betty could protect her… but shed be expending her own mind if she did so. betty knew this was coming, and they agree.

simon leaves before marcy wakes up, taking nothing but a scrapbook hed been keeping from before the bombs, and the clothes on his back. they should have waited- its something theyll regret in the far, far future. he should have said goodbye. but they didnt think they had the willpower to go through with it if they heard her begging. at the very least, betty is there to offer support.

betty continues to hang out for several more years. she gets to see marceline grow up. marcy can see with every spell that betty is becoming more reckless, more eccentric, more distant.

betty finally loses herself protecting marceline during a vampire hunt. she holds on just long enough to get herself away from marcy.

and she begins to travel. until one day, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to a land of ice.

they dont remember who simon and betty are. all they know is that hes ice king and shes magic queen and they love each other.

Betty Grof/Magic Queen

basically the “main character” of this au lol

she begins using the name “magic princess” when she can no longer remember her old one. it feels right to her. she changes to queen when she and ice king get hitched. she doesnt use the name “ice queen” because she no longer pins her identity to just simon. shes got her own stuff going on. hes part of her life, but not her entire life.

magic queens not around the ice kingdom as often as ice king. she likes to explore and travel! a huge amount of the books on ruins, dungeons, and artifacts were penned by her, from hands on research. shes well known around ooo as somebody who can be dangerous, but is also a very reliable source of information.

shes more “grounded” than ice king. she doesnt remember anything from before the war, or for a while after it. as far as she knows she just spawned on ooo ready to dungeon dive. still, shes better at retaining information, and can read a room better. shes still pretty eccentric, though, and likes showing off.

magic queen was the one who beat the shit out of ash and got his magic carpet. she doesnt remember marcy, but like ice king, finds herself inexplicably drawn to her. so when ash hurts her, it puts him on her shit list.

speaking of, she can hold a grudge. she ends up cursing finn for a while because he beat up ice king based on a misunderstanding.

shes the one who had the idea for a giant library in the ice kingdom. ice king helped with the room layout, and she collected the books.

magic queens doing a lot better mentally than canon betty was. her relationship with ice king has become way more healthy and balanced. shes happily married. she has 53 penguin children. shes been able to chase her dreams, and her work is acclaimed and respected.

shes still a creecher tho. girl is skittering through those dungeons. does a backflip and shoots fireworks into your eyes. she is very bold and loves doing crazy things just to see what happens.

gets her own “i remember you” episode where she takes marcy dungeon diving.

ice king/simon petrikov

stay at home husband now lmfao

but fr. he fully supports magic queen, but hes a pretty forgetful and clumsy guy, so they both agree that he probably shouldnt be dungeon diving with her.

he keeps things stable at home. takes care of the penguins and writes fanfic and plays music in his free time. hes come to really enjoy creative pursuits, even when hes not particularly good at them.

magic queen puts a gun to your head and forces you to read fionna and cake. ice queen (simone) and magic king (benny) if you even care btw.

mq ended up putting a checklist up in the home to make sure ik doesnt forget to take care of himself. eat breakfast you goof

instead of kidnapping princesses, he goes out often to find things mq has mentioned wanting or needing for her research. sometimes he steals them and it gets him in trouble. if hes being a real jerk mq will only step in to take him home. sometimes that man deserved to get his ass whooped.

hes already nicer and more stable to start out with since he has somebody to talk to whos nice to him. people wonder why magic queen sticks around and if you ask her she will get mad. hes funny!!! and sweet!!! also hes canonically caked up.

he wants to be a dad soooo bad. he spoils the penguins.

You had just arrived in the fantastical land of Ooo, a place unlike any other you had ever seen. As you walked through the Candy Kingdom, taking in the sights of candy people and surreal landscapes, you suddenly bumped into someone. You stumbled back, slightly embarrassed, and looked up to see a young man with a distinctive hat and a friendly smile.

“Hey there! Sorry about that,” he said, extending a hand to help you up. “I’m Finn the Human, and you must be new around here, huh?”

You introduced yourself, feeling an instant connection to this adventurous and warm-hearted hero. As you spent more time together in Ooo, you discovered just how loveable Finn truly was.

Finn was fiercely loyal and protective of those he cared about, and you felt safe and cherished in his presence. He had a boundless enthusiasm for life and was always up for an adventure, whether it was battling monsters, exploring new places, or just enjoying a quiet moment in the forest.

When it came to cuddling, Finn was a natural. He loved to wrap his arms around you, holding you close and making you feel like the most important person in the world. His cuddles were warm and comforting, and he had a way of making you forget all your worries.

As for flirting, Finn was charmingly straightforward. He’d compliment your bravery and intelligence, telling you how amazing he thought you were. He’d often surprise you with small gestures of affection, like picking a bouquet of flowers or sharing his favorite snack. His playful and genuine nature made it easy to fall for him, and you couldn’t help but be drawn to his infectious spirit.

No one could comfort you like Finn when you were feeling down or troubled. With words of encouragement and unwavering support, he listened attentively. It was his presence alone that had a calming effect on you.

i think a big part of why adventure time spin-offs aren't as grating as most spin-offs, and why people enjoyed distant lands and fionna and cake, is because adventure time as a series was never afraid to depart from the main cast for a moment and explore the world through the eyes of a background character, and the spin offs can follow that example and run with it.

3 out of 4 episodes of distant lands introduce a new supporting cast and a new leading deuteragonist (Y5, Glassboy, Cadebra)(together again is an outlier because it ties into the emotional themes of that episode). Marceline and Princess Bubblegum have a history, whats up with that? maybe Glassboy can tell us! Oh, by the way, meet Glassboy! :D

it gives weight to the very well established idea that Ooo is a populated place with a history and full of people with stories to tell. Which is neat, and the worldbuilding of Ooo is a great jumping off point for artists to tell their own stories, expanding the world even more

If you’re not familiar with 5E rules, don’t worry! Roleplaying games are about letting your imagination run wild as you create your own characters and stories. The rules provide support for your imagination and structure for your hero, but take a back seat to the FUN play at the table.

For those new to roleplaying games entirely, we are providing Jake’s Shmowzow Guide to Roleplaying Games with every copy of the Core Book exclusively on Kickstarter. It’s a simple guide to get any person started having fun with the Adventure Time RPG. Written by Ray Winninger, co-designer of the DC Heroes RPG and former Executive Producer of Dungeons & Dragons, the guide includes the needed core rules from the 5E OGL, a simple step-by-step explanation of the simple ideas you need to understand to begin play, and finally a walk-through of the character creation process. All guided by Jake!

But how, exactly, do you explore Ooo? This is a tabletop roleplaying game built using the Dungeons & Dragons rules, basically. In fact, if you are familiar with those rules, you already know all about how to play Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game.

If you’re not familiar with those rules, you don’t need to worry. Dungeons & Dragons is a game about letting your imagination run wild; it is a game that is played through conversation, is moderated by dice, and takes place in your cranial. As you adventure through the amazing land of Ooo, stuff will happen. There is a player, called the Dungeon Master, who will tell you about that stuff.

As a brave adventurer, you will want to respond to your Dungeon Master with awesome heroic actions. Your character will have a set of attributes and some skills and powers that provide options for those reactions. But you can respond however a person could respond (if that person was a Wildberry Person, with an axe!). However you respond, you will tell the Dungeon Master what you want to do.

Once you choose your action, it’s time to get mathematical with it. You will roll a twenty-sided die and add a bonus number to it, based on the attribute (or skill or power) that is most applicable to the action. If the total number is high enough to equal or exceed a target set by the Dungeon Master, you will succeed, and the skill or power will dictate the results of that action.

And that's all there is to it! Imagine what the Dungeon Master tells you, have a conversation with the Dungeon Master about what you want to do, and roll a twenty-sided die to see if it works. Three simple steps to exploring (and loving!) the Land of Ooo.

Pokèmon! Shapeshifter! Reader x Sagau Genshin Impact characters

(Archons (ft, Tsaritsa) Harbingers, Traveller, Paimon, Dainsleif, Diluc, Kaeya, Wanderer, and Albedo)

Summary: O Sol o Sun (Lunala ver.)

[name] yawned in their Lunala form, hanging from a large branch while in the winter snow of Snezhnaya while basking in the gentle cold while Albedo was drawing comfortably while watching his divine creator taking a small nap.

Meanwhile Dottore was actually doing something while his grace was asleep, with their permission of course! What man could he be if he didn’t?!

Dottore touched the Lunala’s skin, feeling like he was in the presence of a cool night in the fall.

His grace was the literal embodiment of the sun, he could see that! The stars and sky might be fake but this was a divine revelation that the creator was in fact the moon themselves!

As his hand dipped further into the galactic theme skin he could feel a glare from Ei, he scoffed before touching the yellow horns that were on the creator’s head, cool to the touch.

Capitano and Pierro were locked in a glaring match with Venti and Zhongli while Wanderer was feeling a bit bashful as the creator nuzzled their face into his stomach thus his entire being being enveloped by the creator’s wings and making Childe wheeze.

The wanderer glared and lunala’s psychic powers causing Childe’s legs to become frail and to fall backwards with an ‘oof!’, the wanderer was now smirking smugly like he just found out his new privilege.

Aether was admiring his creator’s sleeping form while Paimon was hovering around the creator looking in awe before taking a nap on top, lured in by the cool of the moon.

Pantalone was humming to himself and looking at the skin with possibilities in his head, the galactic skin from their creator would certainly catch many eyes and profits.

Arlecchino was alongside Columbina, admiring the creator’s sleeping form while Sandrone was taking inspiration for new machines.

Pulcinella admired the skin’s soft and silky appeal and texture.

Nahida meanwhile was trying to calm the situation down between the gods and harbingers and more harbingers began to notice and the gods starting to put the blame on the Tsaritsa. Diluc joined in and he was not ready to give up his grace to the Fatui, Kaeya was all relaxing near Albedo, watching with interest.

The tsaritsa was pissed to say the least.

“First you come into my lands without permission and after centuries, you have the audacity to disregard me so you can take up the creator’s already limited time? I’ll have you know-!?” Said the Tsaritsa as the other gods began to glare at her and the harbingers glaring back ready to fight while Childe was grinning while holding his blades and the wanderer and Albedo looking unamused but annoyed and nahida looking stressed out before-

Snap!*

[name] Stirred in their nap.

Everyone looked to see that it was Dainsleif who broke the branch and he seemed unbothered but on the inside he was having a mental crisis.

The creator opened their eyes and yawned, a purr mixed with a drowsy roar was evident as they hovered over the snow as their eyes now turned into the default narrow eyes of the pokèmon, looking like they were not happy about being woken up early.

Everyone held their breath as the creator approached dainsleif as he went still, some looking eager to see how their dear creator would kill in that form or some legit terrified of the creator’s wrath.

But dainsleif was surprised when he got licked right in the face, causing a part of his blonde hair to stick out.

After seeing that their was no bad blood, [name] positioned back up to the tree branch eager to nap again, being in the moon pokèmon form was enough for them to be lax and ready for anything.

As their eyes close they heard Dottore question them.

“Could you perhaps take us to another world, your grace?” Said Dottore.

Ooo now that was a request they are excited to explore- but wait! They must look badass otherwise this would be embarrassing!

The Lunala’s eyes opened up instantly and looking at the doctor, before instantly hovering over the snow and growl a bit,’get on’.

Dottore grinned as he excitedly grabbed ahold of the wing and hopped over, the archons and harbingers looked appalled.

Lunala turned to them before nodding their head.

After everyone got on, and Childe making Diluc go mad while Kaeya teased tf out of the wanderer making him pissed-

[name] roared loudly, making everyone shudder and shut up, their galactic skin turned into a pale blue before flying up into the air and letting out a large blue and purple blast that tear open a wormhole.

“Hold on, this might be a rough ride.”

Everyone was holding on tight while the insane like Childe and Dottore were cackling like this was a roller coaster.

“Incredible….” Said Dainsleif, breathless at the sight inside the wormhole, a flurry of colors and other wormholes, different sizes and colors all in weird places.

Then they saw the one where their grace wanted to go to, a large, pristine white wormhole, the Lunala roared as they swooped down, passing through the wormhole.

There they were amazed by a sight, creatures of all sizes, shapes, colors, and origins were either swimming, flying, running, or even dancing.

But the most important thing was the sky, it was real, the sky holding beautiful warm colors with pink clouds as the sun began to gracefully glow, the moon barely visible.

“Our grace is too kind!” Sang Columbina as her lips curved into a graceful smile.

“This world is so beautiful.” Said Nahida as she watched the grass type and normal type Pokémon coming to their woodland area for a new day of living in the forest and play.

[name] looked proud of themselves before hearing the cries of Solgaleo! The Sun pokèmon leapt past the creator and returned, roaring out in a challenge.

“Is that the sun?” Said Paimon as she held onto Aether.

Everyone looked in awe of the warm design and the stoic roars.

“Solgaleo wants to challenge me to a race, think that I’ll win?”

The smug but funny tone of the creator as they looked back at their subjects, the archons, harbingers, Diluc, Kaeya, dainsleif, and Aether and Paimon all nodded their heads like this was an easy answer.

“Hold on!”

The creator roared the blue moon color glowing more and Solgaleo roared back their features turning into a pale yellow before they both sped off across the Alola region.

Dottore cackled as Child hooted and laughed as Venti cheered on [name].

They all saw the lights of the cities below the pokémon that roamed they even saw Groudon roaming by!

Soon enough a yellow, red, pink, and purple flashed by and appeared on both sides of Lunala and Solgaleo.

“The Alola island guardians! I’m surprised that they are joining!”

The creator laughter boomed as they flew away from Solgaleo and the guardians before their acolytes were warning them of their approach.

But with one final flap of their wings they were already at the Temple of the Moone, Solgaleo cried out, seemingly pouty of its loss but grateful for the opportunity to play with its counterpart.

After returning back to Teyvat, the earth welcomed their arrival with flora and gifts, and also Dottore and Albedo fighting over who should do the interviews.

The Archons were also more clingy while the Harbingers were more obsessive.

Ooo I was originally going to write stuff like this anyways but i got super distracted. To anyone who has sent a request, I'm sorry it's taking me so long to get around to responding to asks/requests. Unless I have an idea when I read the ask in the moment, I tend to focus on my other work until I have ideas.

How they would react to Fi!Reader having to return to their sword.

Hero of Time

To say that Time wasn't ready for you to leave would be an understatement.

He hadn't expected himself to get so attached to you but the moment you appeared to him and started giving him advice he fell so hard for you.

You were nothing like the people he was so used to saving, practically helpless and at the mercy of everything around them.

You definitely had the capability of defending yourself but this type of possessiveness and urge to protect was something he wasn't used to, and he had to be the one protecting you.

He often would stay up with you, showing you around Hyrule given how long you had been sealed for, often playing his ocarina to try and court you.

If it wasn't for you, and that moral compass you seemed to hold dear, he would have let the land go to hell and back to just spend time with you alone.

And now you want to leave him? He can't let you do that.

You won't do that. It's not fair.

By far, he has one of the most violent reactions to you saying you had to go back to sleep in the Sword.

Next Link? You don't need another Link. There would never be another like him, so why do you want to leave him?

Is he not being affectionate enough?

Perhaps he seems to distant or cold to you?

He can change that, and he will.

Suddenly he's far more touchy, constantly holding your hand and pulling you away when people try and speak to you.

You live in his arms now, never able to leave his side unless he needs to fight, in which you're placed aside and god forbid even the smallest debris hits you. The world will never know what hit it.

You could be stuck in some rusty old broadsword and it'd still be his weapon of choice if it meant he'd get to have you around.

Even after telling him you didn't have to leave in that moment, his anxiety is far too high to ever lower his guard.

You now live with his scarf either wrapped around your neck or tied to your wrist while he holds the end like a leash, he is far too scared of losing you to ever let go.

They were crying.

Clawing at your tunic begging you to stay with them.

Of course they have family, but they don't need them.

They have you, and you can't leave them, they're aimless without you.

It wasn't uncommon for them to come sneak into your bed at night and cuddle you, craving even the smallest amount of affection.

They relied on you, you cleaned their tunics, dressed their wounds, cooked their food.

They will never let you leave them.

I mean, there are 4 of them and 1 of you, and would you really make these sweet boys cry on purpose?

Interview with Jessica DiCicco, voice of Flame Princess, from The Art of Ooo (circa season 6)

Jessica DiCicco, voice of Flame Princess, on Finn and Flame Princess's relationship: Finn and Flame Princess started off with a bang, that's for sure. There was an immediate attraction, and they've had some very profound moments. Even if their relationship seemed rocky at times, they have been getting to know each other's flaws and imperfections, and building the foundation for what could potentially be an epic love story—The Notebook-style! Through their ups and downs, I think their feelings for each other were true and undeniable. It's possible they just need to grow as individuals for a little bit before they can become a strong, solid couple. We saw glimpses of their potential, and it's safe to say the seeds for a strong love story have been planted. OTP. I also think there's a way they could be together without Finn having to foil-burritofy himself. In "The Red Throne," we saw that her handmaid had poisoned Flame Princess, resulting in Finn being able to touch her without getting burned. I think this was foreshadowing that there could be a way Flame Princess can learn to manage her power, and ultimately be able to interact with others without burning them. I don't think Flame Princess has found the place she can call home, or at least the place where she's happiest and most comfortable. We've only seen her ruling the Fire Kingdom once, where she was poisoned by her handmaid, had to fight her father, then lock him up, not to mention how incredibly bored she looked sitting on the throne all day, Zombie-eyed… so I'm not sure if the Fire Kingdom is her final destination. After all, she did spend her whole life locked up in a lantern; it's possible that she needs to get out, go on adventures, explore the world, and to get to know herself. As far as things with Finn, timing is everything; maybe after they each get a little more life experience they can explore their relationship again. I don't think it's over between them—perhaps it's just begun.

On Flame Princess's development as a character: Having been locked up in a lantern for her whole life until only recently, Flame Princess is playing catch-up. She has never had the chance to interact with others, experience love, explore her own emotions, and just be a regular teen. With the help of Princess Bubblegum, she is starting to learn about her power, she's starting to pay attention to her fiery emotions, and is now aware of exploring her power to its full potential. This is an exciting time in Flame Princess's life—she is a strong, independent young lady who tries her best to do what she thinks is right. Nobody's perfect, she definitely has her issues, but she's doing her best and working with what she's got.

On being part of the Adventure Time production: The excitement surrounding Adventure Time is palpable, and it's incredible to be part of a show that has struck a chord with so many people. I especially love the show's unpredictability and the dynamic characters that call the Land of Ooo home. Working on this show is awesome.

How Fionna and Cake explores PB and Marcy's characters while only having them in a 15 sec cameo

As much as I would have loved to see more of PB and Marcy in Fionna and Cake, I feel like it still does a really good job at exploring their individual characters as well as their relationship through how they're reflected in their alternate universes.

I really loved the star, and I think it does these fascinating character studies of pb and marcy and does it while they're one-off side characters in this episode. Its efficient, but still really impactful, and its all done through these alternate versions. I think it's something that can really only be done due to the extensive worldbuilding from AT, and the complex storytelling Fionna and Cake takes on through these alternate universes.

Part 1: Marceline and Bonnibel's characters:

In AT and Distant Lands Obsidian we've seen Bonnie and Marcy's flaws. Bonnie can be cold, paranoid, controlling, stubborn, prideful, obsessive and Machiavellian. We've seen her willing to hurt people for what she views as the greater good. She's a fairly utilitarian person. I think we see her darker side beginning in season 4, and its explored in season 5 and 6. Some examples off the top of my head include a) imprisoning flame princess as a baby b) her surveillance over like, everybody c) Throwing everybody in tree trunks' wedding in prison. These reasons are why a lot of people really dislike her, and see her as an authoritarian dictator, and I don't think they're totally wrong to feel that way. However, we see her grow in season 6, she realizes that some of the stuff she's doing is messed up, and she makes a clear effort to do better. in season 7 when she's usurped, she finished her redemption arc. Finn, Flame Princess, and Marceline, the people in her life play an important role in helping her become a better person. (S6 EP 22 "The cooler", S6 EP23 "The Pajama War", S7 E2 "Varmints"). One of the major things that also really softens her character is her clear love for her people. There's an undeniable motherliness to how she cares for her people and her kingdom that there's something really sweet about. Even though she doesn't always show it well, she does have a lot of love. Love for her people, love for her brother (S7E1 "Bonnie and Neddie"), love for Marceline, and love for her friends (Finn and Jake). She built her whole kingdom because she wanted to have people to be with!

Marcy is also a bit morally gray. Especially in the beginning of the series, she is shown to be unconcerned with people's feelings or the impact of her actions on others. in general, she's apathetic towards the feelings of other people, and primarily sees them as a source of entertainment. She manipulates and plays elaborate mind tricks on people for her own amusement. The song from her debut episode puts it best when she says "I'm a thousand years old and I just lost track of my moral code". She's not an evil person, but over time and through all the things she's lived through, she struggles to empathize with people. She's "burnt out on dealing with mortals".

when we first meet her in S1E2 "Evicted". She literally kicks Finn and Jake out of their house (that s technically hers) even though by the end of the episode it's clear she has other options and is really only doing it to fuck with them. She even tries to kill Jake (which only doesnt work bc Jake uses his powers, but how would she know that?). By her second appearance in S1E22 "Henchmen" it becomes clear that she isn't actually evil, she mostly likes playing mind games. Nonetheless, still fairly messed up. We also see her callousnes In S2E1 "It Came From The Nightosphere" When Hunter Aberdeer terrorizes Ooo, and goes about the land stealing souls and murdering people, Marceline is wholly unconcerned with the people her dad is murdering, and really only worried about getting her bass back (/focused on her own daddy issues). As the series goes along, and as she spends time with finn and jake she mellows out a bit, and gets better. She works through a lot of her issues during the Stakes mini-series (S8 E6-13). We also see her past, and a bit of how her childhood, often lacking consistent, healthy parental figures to model from, and how some of her issues came to be. In fact, I think a large part of why she’s so messed up to people at the beginning of the series is because since Simon’s the ice king, and all the humans are gone, she hasnt had a positive influence on her for a long while. By the end of Stakes, we see a more grown up, empathetic Marcy. We see this new insight in the finale (S10 E13 "Come Along With Me") when she talks to PB, trying to get her to not go to war. Marcy really just needs people to ground her. Because her life has been so unstable, and so many people in her life have been lost, or have left her (her mom, her dad, simon, Bonnie), she takes to lashing out at people to scare them away in order to avoid rejection. All this is really made clear in Distant Lands: Obsidian.

Part 2: Vampire universe PB and Marcy

In Fionna and Cake E7 we see the versions of them without the things that made them better people. We see how their circumstances created their most toxic selves; for Marcy, that's not having Simon, and for PB it's being put in survival mode, and not having the love of her family.

Princess Bubblegum, instead of being a Princess, is the leader of a resistance against vampires in an apocalyptic world. She's very ruthless, cold, and militaristic. She's dead set on taking down the vampires no matter the cost. as she says "I'm gonna slay him (the Vampire King) or die trying". She only stops to pick up Simon, Fionna and Cake, because she figured that Cake's "murder skills" would be useful in taking down the vamps. In the scene where she refuses to stop to help strangers on the road calling for help really illustrates her mindset. In this, her and Fionna have the following exchange: F: "Quick! Pull over!" B: "No distractions" F: "But you stopped for us." B: "I stopped for your mutant cat. Big picture." When Martin dies, and Fionna apologizes since it was kinda her fault, Bonnie says this “You should be! It’s your fault I’m down one man, and more importantly, one tank. We see her do to the extreme what she's done in the past when she's trying to keep everything together: push all her feelings down, distance herself emotionally from others, and stick to her utilitarian ways. This isn't to say she's all bad. her end goals are nobel. She's trying to save humanity.

Bubblegum also shows a lot of aggression and ruthfulness.

She also seems to be very obsessed with Marcy in a very sworn enemies (gay) way. Liek she hates her but she’s also totally obsessed with her and stuck in this powerbattle with her. Marcy makes her crazy mad when she calls her a loser. This is VERY personal to her

Marcy, without Simon or Finn and Jake’s influence- toss in the VK as a father figure, has totally lost touch with her humanity. Her carelessness towards the lives of others is dialed up to a 10 with her literally murdering henchmen for saying something she didn't like. She’s still playful, but in a much more twisted, evil, crazy way. Her favorite plaything being bonnibel. She seems equally obsessed with Bonnie, and even admires her a little bit. She gets mad when her henchmen talk bad about her and question her as to why she hasn’t killed her yet. She doesn’t seem to actually want to kill her that much because she likes her too much: VK scolds her for “toying her prey”, and tells her to “finish it off”.

Bonnie in kind , as much as she seems to hate Marceline, also seems to secretly like her too, at least in my opinion. Bonnie knows a lot about Marceline; she knows her first name. Her adamant refusal of “I would never” is loaded with so much history. When Marceline offers her “You know you could join me” Bonnie seems to briefly consider it, if only for a moment before saying “What’s the point? The population’s crashed and you're running out of food.” There’s something very romantic in that final declaration of “if you poof me, you’ll die too” “together then”. Their dying moments fighting in each other's arms to the death mirrored by Gary and Marshall-lee kissing.
