As a recovering Catholic, one of my fav anecdotes the spn set is Misha mentioning that they had all these papers flutter around when Cas flies in angry sometimes and he once looked at WHAT the papers were and they were bible pages. And he pictured all the set dressers just ripping up bibles and thought it was funny and mentioned it in an interview (or at a meet and great with some network people? it was years ago lol) and the show higher ups were like 🙅🙅🙅🙅😬😬😬 maybe we don’t mention that?? But he still tell that story at cons

Anyway, for me that’s how I’ve interacted with the religious themes in spn, as ripped up bible pages for set dressing (that they did knowing that they might get in trouble for it is anyone was paying attention) lol idk if that helps but it does for me haha so I hear you on the “complicated feelings on religion while watching spn” front

i recently rewatched Iron Man (2008) for the first time in a veeeeeery long time and besties i have!!! some thoughts:

Bi!Tony Stark (MCU edition) confirmed within the first 7 minutes of the movie

I like how they set up Tony's future dilemma in CA:CW with his post-rescue speech about how there's been zero accountability in the MIC and how he doesn't want anything to do with that anymore

There's a point in the movie right after Tony ices up in the suit and almost dies falling back where JARVIS says, "If you plan on visiting other planets remove the exoskeleton," which!!!! i had to go lay down upon hearing bc in IW the version of the suit that Tony goes up into space with is the nanobot suit that doesn't have an exoskeleton

There was an undersuit??? i completely forgot he ever had a real full body skin-tight black undersuit in the mcu bc he never wears one again in the whole series :(( Sad!

my theory about why dean puts up the act of being a relentless womanizer is that during hunts, he and john would be at their motel at night and john would keep teasing and making fun that dean isn't out there sowing his wild oats or whatever and it's all very homophobia-tinged and as Dean gets older, John gets more and more pushy abt it and it's just an unending cycle for dean to dread as night falls and they retire to their motel room so eventually dean starts hanging out at bars long enough to pick up someone, anyone just so john can see him leave with a pretty girl on his arm. sometimes he sleeps with them and sometimes he doesn't, but the important thing is that john doesn't poke fun at him anymore and dean gets to get out of their nomadic 'home' for a few hours. he even meets some interesting ppl along the way, and it's not so bad every night, but he always comes back to make sure someone's around to keep an eye on sammy, to be the barricade between him and john
