Author Seeking Beta-Reader/Editor
Hi, me again!
Update: I have found an artist! :D
But. The time has come: I need to seek out a beta-reader/editor. This step scares me, because I'm really baring my work for someone to literally criticize. :D
The Story: 75k, 30 chapters. New/Young Adult, fantasy/magical realism.
Teaser: When Euwenn Allen Gilmore refuses to follow his beloved teacher, Alabaster White, into the murky waters of murder along the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Alabaster curses Euwenn to forever wander the streets as an unknown. He can never return to his family, or anyone who knew him, because they will die. He tests this curse -- once and only once. He’ll never get that death out of his mind. Euwenn wanders the streets for three weeks, until he finds Rowan Morris about to be eaten by a werewolf. Grateful for the rescue -- and trying to keep Euwenn from bleeding out -- Rowan takes Euwenn home with him. Euwenn finds in Rowan and his family friends for his days, and in Rowan’s schooling, a cause. With little hope for breaking the curse, Euwenn sets out to try and carve a new life for himself. Will he manage to break the curse? And even if he does, will Alabaster let him live long enough to enjoy his family again?
Seeking: Someone to beta/edit. I'm looking mostly for grammar, spelling, and continuity errors. If you happen to notice things that don't make sense or things that you think should be switched around, I'd be down to hear that too.
The Problem: I'm looking for someone who happens to enjoy this because my money is going towards artwork. This is not a paid request. That being said, I totally get it if you're like "hell no i'm not doing that for free." Cheers, mate. Don't blame you. BUT on the off chance that someone is like "yes, i enjoy doing this shit in my spare time", I thought I would ask. :D
I'd love it if you could share this :)
Thanks for your time :D
ps: If the synopsis intrigues you and you wanna read for funzies, lmk and I'll post the link.

Looking for something to read?
Interested in witches, wizards and magical realism? Like adventure, a touch of fantasy, and some gay boys in love? I have a story for you!
Come check out my original story about a young man who is cursed by a witch to wander the streets of Pittsburgh alone. He finds a friend -- well, a few, actually -- after encountering a werewolf, and the adventure is on!
Don't worry about the word count -- the story is actually a trilogy, each set being about 75k long, so it's doable :) It's still in progress, but I get a chapter out about every 3 days or so.
If you come on over to check it out, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I want this to be published someday, and so reader critique (as long as it's kind) is very welcome!
Come on this adventure with me, Euwenn, and Rowan, and see what there is to discover!

it. is. finished.
Well, at least, this one is.
Welcome to book 5 in the Unbreakable Series: Empire of Dirt
Follow my boys Rowan and Euwenn as they investigate the cases of kidnapping of empaths and magic users across western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. When Rowan is tasked with an impossible choice that might tear him and Euwenn apart, what will he do? Where will his choice lead him and what will it mean for the Pgo'm?
This story is, sort of, a stand alone. You don't need to have read the other stories in the series (though I recommend it, so you have a better handle on the characters).
Please read, and if you can, check out tinyurl.com/TheCurseALCH to purchase each of the books in the series (books 1 - 3 are up and published, book 4 is in the process, and book 5 is in the editing phase)
If you can't read/purchase, then please share this so I can reach more people. Thanks!!! :)

Hey, there, looking for a book to review?
I've got a Young Adult, magical realism book for you! I'm an independent author with a new book series. Book 1 is out (The Curse), book 2 (The Rescue) is in the editing stages, book 3 (Alabaster -- the end of the arc) is waiting to be edited, and book 4 (some additional adventures) is about half-written. Each book is fairly short (approx 70k words, 150 pgs) and a fun read (no, really, it's a fun story).
The series follows Euwenn Allen Gilmore, a seventeen year old young man who is cursed by a witch to wander the streets of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania alone, unloved, and unknown. However, late one night, he saves Rowan Morris from a werewolf and sets off a series of events that just might be his salvation. There are a lot of bumps along the way, but Euwenn just might find family and love by the end of it all!
There are various kinds of fae involved, a few vampires, and lots of random magic. It's a light hearted, positive series that was so much fun to write.
Honestly, I don't care about making money. I want other people to read my book and fall in love with my boys like I did. I will send you a free copy, if you're willing to review and reblog. Hit me up (comment or dm me here or at not-easy-being-green124) if you want a copy.

Looking for something to read? How about an original series about two (gay) boys in a magical setting working alongside fae, vampires, and banshees? Well, I have the series for you!
I've been working on this series for about two years now. It started as fanfiction and then became an original series. Don't be put off by the word count, I have it on good authority from my readers that it's a "page turner" and "hard to put down".
The story starts with Euwenn Gilmore, a young man who has been cursed to never see his family or any of his friends again. Wandering the streets, he manages to save Rowan Morris from being eaten by a feral werewolf late one night. The two of them form a fast friendship, and Rowan introduces Euwenn into the world of the Pgo'm, a group of magic users, creatures, and fae who band together to form a sort of magical police force, protecting each other and the Plain from those who would use their magic for evil.
Soon, Rowan is drawn into Euwenn's battle with the evil witch Alabaster, who wants Euwenn dead. Books 1 -3 (known as Rusty Cage in the AO3 version) detail the battes against Alabaster. Book 4 (found as short stories in AO3) is a series of short stories that detail various adventures that Rowan and Euwenn have. Book 5 (currently known as Natural in AO3) is under construction and details Euwenn and Rowan's battle against a mysterious madness that seems to be affecting magic users and empaths.
If you prefer not AO3, books 1 - 3 can be found on Amazon for kindle, paperback, or hard cover (tinyurl.com/TheCurseALCH). Book 4 is in the proof stages and should be available soon.
If you do adventure with the boys, please message me and/or leave comments. Honestly, I don't care about fame or fortune ... I just want to talk about this world I've created.
Thanks!!!!

Note
inform us about your ocs please 🤝
THANK YOU. I mean, I suppose I could just *go off* about everyone but it feels rude w/o being asked, you know? Anyhow, buckle up, y'all. (I'm gonna readmore this shit because idk how long it'll be ... )
Okay, so in Unbreakable, which is a contemporary magical realism universe, we have:
Euwenn Allen Gilmore. Euwenn starts out at seventeen but grows up throughout the books, ending somewhere around 30 as of Empire of Dirt, I think. He's a kindhearted but powerful wizard who's constantly sacrificing himself for other people. (My wife says this is a catastrophic failing on his part. Oh well.) He goes through a good bit of trauma in his life (but I can't tell you what -- spoilers!) but it only makes him kinder ... and stronger. Euwenn is fairly impulsive (blame the red hair), but always looking to make other people's situations better.
Rowan Morris. Rowan starts out at nineteen but also grows up as the books progress. He's a tough cookie, having lived on the streets a bit throughout his life, so he's got street smarts, but he's a sweetheart. Rowan is a bit more settled than Euwenn, and tends to think things through more. He's a powerful wizard in his own right, using his powers with Euwenn's to fight for justice.
There's more from that world, but Rowan and Euwenn are my *bois* and I love them sm. I left out some stuff because ~spoilers~ but could gush about them forever.
Then we move on to Wild One, a contemporary universe to our own, no magic. In wild one, we have two mains as well:
Liam Turner. Liam is in his late twenties and a detective. He's a transman who still wears a binder as he hates hospitals and is afraid of the surgery. He starts the story with pretty unhealthy coping mechanisms: he forgets to eat, exercises too much, and isolates from others. Liam struggles with making friends. He's a kind and intelligent man who (up until events in the story) has never discharged his weapon outside of a gun range.
Adelaide Eckles. Adelaide is a nonbinary but femme presenting pathologist who works with the police. They are a prickly, intelligent, and bossy person who will do the Right Thing no matter what the politics surrounding the decision might be. Throughout the story, they stick up for the underserved and under loved (including Liam).
I love Liam and Adelaide, and again, hid some stuff because ~spoilers~. I'm waist deep in Wild One right now with no end in sight.
Please, ask any questions about anybody above or even the story because I *adore* talking about them. Also, if you're curious, both stories can be found under my AO3 of imaginationtherapy. Unbreakable is a series and Wild One is a (long) single story.
Thanks for asking, anon. I really appreciate the chance to infodump about my children.

Unbreakable 5: Natural (Working title)
Hi, hello, it's me, ya local queer author.
I've written the Unbreakable (formerly Rusty Cage) series about Euwenn Gilmore and Rowan Morris, two magical young men in a local city. I wrote the main trilogy last year, spent a year writing random little snippets that I compiled into a fourth book, and recently (like ... ten days ago?) started work on book five.
And Holy Shit is it rough starting from scratch. A little known fact about the original book (Rusty Cage, from the Endeavour Universe) is that it was spawned entirely from a) a dream and b) my chronic pain. I wanted to project onto my blorbo, and then I had a dream, and boom! Fanfic. I ended up liking it so much that I wrote a back story (The Curse) and a wrap up (Alabaster's Revenge) for the "main" story (The Rescue). The whole thing grew out of a dream and some vague ideas I had.
This, though? This book? Good lord, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm a pantser, not a plotter, but I kind of need to have an idea about something in order to write. So I've spent several days plotting, asking questions of my villain(s), trying to figure out what the hell is going on in this universe. It's like slogging through knee-high molasses. I don't like it. Usually chapters come flying off of my fingers, rapid fire typing and crafting worlds and adventures. Not right now. Ugh.
Anyhow, I wanted to express that.
Also, if you're like "What? What are they talking about?" check out tinyurl.com/TheCurseALCH (an amazon link to the first book in the series) All three of the original trilogy stories are up, the fourth book is in process (I need to proof it), and, well, we're 10k into the fifth book.
Wish me luck. Also .... please read? And come talk to me about it? I really really want to talk to people about my boys.
