I have questions to posture you about if you don't mind-

How does adoption work in most Empires?

Also, if Xornoth is overprotective of their brother, and Lizzie with Jimmy, if Scott and Jimmy ever decided to adopt a child, how overprotective and spoiled with that kid be?

Does Scott and Xornoth have wings?

Is there a group in Rivendell that doesn't like Xornoth as king, and maybe some tries to take them off the throne throughout the years?

How does Jimmy fair to being in the cold?

Is the Ender Dragon important in this world? And how so?

How long does Xornoth visit Joey?

Should Scott or Jimmy even be trusted with a child?

I love talking about this AU (If you hadn't picked up on it by now XD)

Adoption varies from empire to empire, for some it is very culturally central, such as in Mezalea, and in others it is much more rare simply due to either the nature or size of the population, such as the Overgrown or Rivendell. In some places its more informal, such as the Swamp and in others its much more formal, again, like Mezalea.

The concept of adoption varies wildly between cultures as well. In Mezalea it is very much a formal "you are now part of our family as if you were born into it" stance, while in the Swamp its more along the lines of "you lost your family, whether through fate or their own poor choices, so now you will go find a new family either in your relatives or your immediate community"

The very concept of family varies so of course adoption is also going to change from place to place.

If Scott and Jimmy ever adopt a child that child will be absolutely spoiled rotten from all directions. (also addressing the last question here, no, Scott or Jimmy should never be trusted with a child tbh.)

Scott and Xornoth do have wings I had a whole crisis about it on here somewhere because I didn't want them to bc it felt a bit like too much but the more i wrote and built the more obvious it became they would have to have them. So here we are.

There are multiple factions among the Rivendell population that are Not Xornoth Fans. There have been some attempted insurrections, though not recently. The only major one was resolved with Xornoth's marriage.

Well now that would be telling ;)

Xornoth visits Joey semi-frequently, though Joey probably visits them more often. Especially early on when Xornoth was still trying to figure out what was happening and how it happened XD

It's what happens when you watch a tv show way too late while you still have an unhealthy obsession with a fandom from the early 2010s lol

To put it simply, I saw the show and just thought.... Ok but this but with the big 4 tho? How fun would that be?? And what character arcs would our heroes go through??

And then I started drawing the fake screencaps and help now I can't stop myself. Also people have been sending me asks so this au isn't going to leave my head for a while!

Although, now that you mention it... the old AU was based on the jungle folks from s7 (Grian, Mumbo, Scar, Iskall, Stress). What if... revamp that AU a bit, and base it off of a newer group, like Boatem? Hmm...!

In your esh au, Jimmy is experimented on and is in a lab most of the time, but what exactly were they doing to him? Like cutting his skin, the blood pumps and needles. All that stuff.

it starts out as little tests like "how will a sample of his blood/skin react to x substance" and "can we trace how his powers work through his blood" etc etc. At some point it became "what does it take for his powers to kick in" which evolved to "we need his powers to kick in to try and measure them but if he's too strong he'll escape, so how much worse does he need to be before it happens". among other inconsequential tests of course.

for the most part, any of the really repetitive stuff (like blood draws) became habit, and most of the results were just thrown away--it was more for the purpose of keeping him weak than actually doing anything.

Oli is adopted

Lauren and Oli both have Ranboo as a nephew, but separately

Tubbo and Ranboo aren't actually married, just for teasing and tax purposes

Tubbo also got adopted by Phil

Your fiction, "Forged in blood", is one of the reasons why I love good brothers Scott and Xornoth. I really loved that fic and their relationship as brothers.

So, now that Xornoth is alive and ruling with Scott and has a dragon and dating Joey, what are some other events that would eventually happen in this universe?

aw thank you! forged in blood was lovely to write- mainly because i got to explore what canon didn't give us smh

probably the most significant change would be the massive dragon roaming rivendell. like, fuck-off-massive, massive dragon. there would also be a royal wedding probably! bc two emperors getting married is a pretty big thing

We have Scott's, it only seems fair.

i highly doubt it. it's essentially the same as scott's to start since they grew up in the same household, and i'm not currently interested in looking at their villain history from their point of view (mostly bc there's far better ways to do that, such as visit some other characters in their past). but if something changes, you'll be the first to know!
