Hi enchant!! I hope you're having an awesome day!!! Here's some random stuff I had written in a doc about Moira!

It’s a very interesting dynamic, the idea that Moira is literally in charge of a criminal empire, but she’s visiting the Palace, and making no attempt to diguise her identity. That might seem like a stupid move, but to be honest, it really isn’t. Considering that the majority of her “crimes” are the shipping and trading of goods outside of Oraine’s chokehold on international shipping. Oraine is here for fun and profit ONLY. While they’re irritated that Moira and the Mercantile Empire is taking some of their money, they don’t really care that much, because a portion of what she ships they wouldn’t touch anyways.

Despite being the head of a criminal empire, Moira 100% is a kind soul. According to her intro post, she genuinely cares about every single person that is a part of her Empire. I like to think that if she gets wind of corruption in her company, she will invite the person in question to her library for a little… talk. She’s not scary, not the kind of person to threaten to (or actually) kill you, but she does not tolerate unkindness or people messing with her set up.

I've been doing well. College decisions have been coming out the past few weeks so I've been a little stressed out, but I ended up getting into my top choice, so I'm super excited! All of the college apps have made it hard to get any writing done, but I'm hoping that now that I'm really in my senior spring I'll have more time to work on my WIPs!

How have you been doing, Enchant? I feel like I haven't really been keeping up with writeblr lately and I haven't seen you on my dash that much!

10. Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you? honestly? i don’t think so? probably my old fanfiction i used to write because that was awful and embarrassing and when i remember it it’s like a ghost who hates me and i also hate equally as much sneaking up on me

16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark? receipts, letters from my little letterbox thing, polaroid pictures, candy wrappers, wires???, dryer sheets…. a plethora of things

Thoughts on the Oxford comma, Go: i feel like the only writer who doesn’t have an opinion on the oxford comma. i think its use makes sense, but there are a lot of situations where it also could be done without especially depending on the writers style. i personally use it sometimes to show slower speech in dialogue and then like, categorizing, but if a character speaks fast or if the categorizing is supposed to be hectic and weird then i don’t use it. am i valid?

🍀 which OCs would get along the best?

ok so canonically yasmeen and mitja work very close together in the medical bay of the airship! they enjoy each others company as friends and also they have a mentor/mentee relationship. so like they get along from the outset. as the story continues tho i would say mitja gets quite close w haoming & arthur since they keep visiting him at work (haoming usually cus hes got actual injuries that need to be attended to; arthur cus he hates his family lol).

the best answer would honestly be that like ,, mitja gets along w everyone. besides nikolai who he has this charged animosity with.

🌸 who’s your most morally questionable OCs (not including villains)?

since i answered this question for my steampunk wip ill talk about my medieval vampire wip (which i dont think ive talked ab before? honestly i have to start naming these,,). so the main duo in this novel are jeremiah (vampire hunter) and azriel (vampire). i would say azriel is the more morally questionable of the two but i say that mostly bc he doesnt really 'comply' w human-centred morals. for example, throughout the course of the novel jeremiah and azriel have a series of philosophical discussions & azriel posits that he values human life the same way that human society values pigs, cattle, sheep, etc. the gist of his argument is that its hypocritical for ppl to condemn him for killing/draining the blood of humans when they also hunt & eat meat. like azriel cant survive without human blood, hes not gonna stop or even feel guilty just bc humans consider themselves more important than other forms of life (he takes a kinda 'animistic' spiritual approach -- which is ironic considering he is undead)

🌾 what's something an OC needs to learn?

OK so continuing on the vampire wip, the big lesson that jeremiah and azriel need to learn is that, as cheesy as it sounds, they have to work together. they are both convinced that they are each their own enemies when the real enemy is the institutions of the church and monarchy who are 'bleeding' the people of the village dry (wink wink). the big thing that azriel learns is that while he is persecuted for being a vampire, he is also privileged for living his specific life of a 'noble exile' as opposed to the peasants of the village & also supernatural creatures who weren't as lucky as him in their lineage (originally being a count or smth for example)

it's all about solidarity :)

VS

Edited Line: "You mean more to me than anything in the world. I want you to be happy, to be safe, so badly that I would do anything to make it happen. I’ve never been in love, but I know that I love you, because what else can love possibly feel like?"

I got slammed with the thought of "what else could love possibly feel like?" while at work and I KNEW I had to work it into this scene. And I realized that Kris has probably never said it before, so the OG line didn't make a lot of sense for him. :')

☺: Share a happy line.

When they were finished eating, Kristopher lay back, his arms crossed behind his head. Laying there, eyes closed, warm sun kissing his skin, he looked at peace. His blond hair fluttered lightly on occasion, but he did not lift a hand to move it.

That line is particularly happy because Kris just feels so much lighter already being in Anvia compared to Oryn. This is on his first "date" with Fallon, and he's happy and relaxed, and I love it.

📖 : Share the last line of any chapter.

Fallon pictured Lavinia standing over her, knife in hand, eyes glittering with hatred. She remembered there being no trace of Lavinia’s usual smile, her face like stone. At least if they tried again, the face above her would be unfamiliar. A small mercy. But she didn’t voice those thoughts. Instead she looked the Captain in the eyes and, steadying her hands and her nerves, said, “What next?”

I figured after all that happy we needed a little sad, right? (/lh)

I'm doing the best I can! And don't worry about sending asks or how active you are; I'm also incredibly burnt out thanks to college, and I've definitely fallen into the terrible habit of reblogging ask games.... and then not responding.

I did, however, recently learn its tumblr etiquette to send an ask to the person you reblog a game from. How did I now know this originally? No clue. But I've managed to do this now!

I've still got about a month left of classes, and then hopefully, I might be able to return to doing the things I enjoy.
