i think that @auntiehildatm made a really great comment like, 15 seconds before you did that actually addresses this:

to chime in- from what i’ve observed, top/bottom has largely been appropriated in a power exchange setting. often used to express what is actually dominant / submissive. the easiest answer, when it’s specifically not a m/m pairing? for me? is to call it what it is. dom / domme and sub. but that supposes that power exchange is an element of the relationship. and as you said, it’s not per se an appropriate alternative in general, away from power exchange.

the presupposition of power exchange is why i, personally, don’t think that dominant/submissive/switch can really be universally applied.

OMG RIGHT!! I’m only on book 1 and I’m already anxious for him to finish the series 😂 I know he had a hand in the writing since the books dropped off, and put every major plot point into the show, but I’m 100% sure his writing is going to explain it all properly and give actual closure. I’m like 100 pages in and his writing is SO GOOD, I’m shocked it took me this long to read

ooc: The ending was bitter sweet. I liked Arya's and Sansa's outcome (though it would have been nice if Gendry went with Arya). I've been rooting for Sansa since the beginning. I'd be happier with Bran as king if they would have made him more interesting like he is in the books.

The ending really was bittersweet, and I LOVE that Sansa became Queen of the North. I was vying for her to end up on the Iron Throne, but I’m glad she got a throne of her own. 

I’m honestly fully ignoring canon and saying that Gendry was on that boat with Arya, they did her dirty with one aspect of character development being that she couldn’t just always be a cold blooded killer, and she had a heart. I definitely think they used her and Gendry’s little romance there as a plot device to show that she’s becoming more human, but never went anywhere with it. In my mind, they ended up together (and they probably would be canonically too if Gendry hadn’t asked her to be his lady). 

I just started reading the books and I’m sO EXCITED to read how Bran’s written. He slowly became a favourite character, the 3 eyed raven plotline is just so interesting to me, and they really didn’t do it justice on screen. Yeah, it’s not the most exciting or action packed storyline, but I would 100% watch an entire series dedicated to Bran and the history between his link with the Night King and the rest of Westeros. Super satisfying ending to have him on the throne.

ooc: As a white person, 13 leaving The Master with Nazis while The Master is a POC is extremely messed up IMO.

yyyyuuuuup.  my thirteens and i have  decided to just. kinda. retcon the perception filter part of that scene. let him suffer through the 20th  century stranded, but safe from racist-based attacks.
