I Am All In Rewatch - Episode 1x12 (Part 1)
You asked out Lorelai! You asked out Lorelai! Yeah I did twice twice, and and not denied twice but interrupted twice. What it was like asking out? Dateus interruptus...Mrs Mrs Kim comes storming in looking for Lane, like throwing a mom fit right in the middle of my asking out, Lorelai. Right, it just it just I just kept getting jammed up. -Scott
[I wonder what would have happened had Mrs. Kim not just like barged into the diner. Would you have gotten your kiss you years earlier?] No, I think she delayed it a little bit, not much. Who knows if if things were to go stay on his plans, Um, yeah, would have happened probably that year, that season. But yeah, life got in the way for four years. [We weren't ready for it. Wait, what card game was that you guys were playing?] Five card draw? [Is that poker?] Yeah [But you let her break the rules?] I did. I gave her four extra and if you want four cards, you have to show your ace. The only way you can get four cards is to have an ace. And I didn't require that. She showed me her Ace so I was just like really here just take one. [So you just really like her?] Yeah I like her... I liked when he pulled when he pulled out the deck of cards. I think that was cool because I mean, I grew up playing cards, That's what we do on the east coast. We played a lot of cards when we were kids. We gambled when we were kids. It was unbelievable. -Scott

Here is an example of how I gathered pictures of my favourite characters for art references and just to gaze at lovingly back in the years 2001-2003, btw 😅 A vintage Y2K collage of mine assembled from magazine scraps

Weird Al should be immortal but barring that I think he should do some weird hybrid Dread Pirate Roberts/Willy Wonka thing.
When he's ready to retire, he should choose someone new to take his place, train them to the best of his ability, and pass the mantle. They, in turn, will change their name and, from then on, Be Weird Al.* Despite the fact that they may not resemble him in the slightest, we will all have a societal obligation to pretend it's the same person. Hm? That? Oh, that's Weird Al. No, what are you talking about? It's just Weird Al. No, nothing's changed. I don't know what you mean.
The most important thing, though, is that the entire selection process for the Next Weird Al should be public. Televised. Hell, we should all get to vote in it.** It needs to be the most talked-about thing on the planet and then we all need to shut up about it and pretend it never happened faster than you can (not) say Game of Thrones. What do you mean. That's just Weird Al.
*I mean, no one would listen to Weird Dan.
**Our votes shouldn't actually have any influence on anything, of course. They should be completely ignored. The public could not be trusted with the responsibility of selecting a new Weird Al. But we should get to vote.

Its a shame Bonnie never really gets to have any witch allies that she can be friends with without there being any other agenda at play

yj is fascinating to me. i watch the silly finale. i giggle. i think huh that's interesting. i go yepyep they're still not interrogating race and disability and consequently having some racist and ableist implications in their narrative. i whoop and cheer when coach ben says fuck them kids and tries to burn down their little cannibalism cottage, not because i think they deserve to die but i think it's deeply funny that ben Did That. what a guy. coach 'i can excuse burning like 12 children to death but i draw the line at survival cannibalism' ben. yes thats his legal name <3 anyway misty girls stay winning

“Home” for the wip ask thing?
ohh I saw this word and immediately knew which fic it would be from and that it would be painful. anyway this is from a fic currently titled wave goodbye with your dead man's hand, which is a backstory fic for my oc Avery, who I'm going to play in my friend's Supernatural-inspired monster of the week campaign
“Elijah?” The light flicks on. Avery pauses with one hand on the kitchen back door and bows his head with a sigh. When he turns, he sees Marcus framed in the doorway between the kitchen and the hallway, arms crossed and frowning. The light above the stove reads 1:47 AM. God damn it all. He should’ve known he couldn’t sneak back out; even as silent as he was coming back downstairs, dad would’ve heard him come home an hour ago, would’ve heard the shower running. The living room was dark, but the TV was on. Avery heard it. The nightly news had been talking about that house catching fire on the edge of town. They’ve already found evidence of cult activity, but not the fire’s origin. Arson is a likely cause, though.
the tldr for this is that Avery is the (co)host of a system, but at this point he hadn't fronted for almost a year and a half. in the meantime, his headmate and co-host Abraham has graduated high school, gotten a full-time job to save up for college, and also fucked around and found out. aka Abraham is very interested in everything supernatural and true crime and ended up discovering a cult operating out of his hometown. and when the police didn't believe his evidence, he took matters into his own hands, because sometimes he forgets that he's human and not even 20. and now here Avery is, dealing with the consequences of his actions

modern lawrusso dynamic: johnny texts daniel poorly-taken photos of what he is eating for dinner (a small pile of poorly-cooked frozen chicken nuggets. a handful of mozzarella sticks. two pieces of fried bologna. etc) just to share, and daniel responds every time in the vein of, “That is in no way, shape, or form a meal. Please come over immediately so I can cook you some actual food.”

the pink elephant man (my first try)
Tumblr media
Second try (all of these drawn while listening to the podcast) (I feel the fervor in this one is better, because I started drawing it in a very climactic "what the fuuuck??" TM moment)
Tumblr media
"A strange man wearing a pink elephant mask has been seen wandering the woods around camp"
He has been seen.
Do you ever stop to realize that he sees YOU as well?
Tumblr media
And finally, Elijah Volkov.
The man which the mask shields you from
The mad prophet
The preacher on the firey pulpit
He who is... on to something

Something about the slow ride towards the becoming a monster
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are the taxidermied fox you saw in your father's living room.
You are the long black night among the pines and gloom.
You are the embodiment of humanity and death and life.
A bundle, a quilt, a mosiac of everyone you ever loved; whoever gave you strife.
Please reblog took a long time with this ^_^

obligatory disclaimer this is not a hot take or an analysis or a sweeping statement or anything it’s literally just how i feel as a person who lives in a world. if this doesn’t apply to you it’s probably because we’re not the same person. okay so my mom has the news channel on and it’s showing live coverage of the expulsion proceedings in tennessee and she’s talking to my dad on the phone and they’re like “i cannot believe this is happening… it’s so mind boggling i would never predict this would happen. nothing in america makes sense anymore, it hasn’t for a long time” and it’s like huh. this is really showing the generational differences here. because honestly the wisconsin supreme court election was welcome but frankly confusing and unnerving to me until i heard there was already a movement to expel her. like ohhhh there it is, there’s the other shoe. that’s the american politics I’m used to. i was eleven years old when trump got elected, i’m not really used to anything else. yeah, i live in the united states, where sometimes elected officials beat each other to death with their fancy placards. that’s just a thursday here. none of this feels unusual to me because that’s just what i grew up in. that’s just how things work around here. if i saw a single republican saying “maybe we should all follow laws” and nothing more specific or divisive than that i’d still be like “okay where’s the punchline”
