so happy to see asks are open!! May I please request dating headcannons with Overhaul and a quirkless reader being by his side at the shei hassaikai base. What do the other members think of her? Obviously they can’t talk or even be near her unless they wanna be meat on the floor. Poor girl just wants to make friends but her hubby makes it so hard 😔😔😔

(I would've thought I did a quirkless reader for him before but I'm admittedly too lazy to check my HIGHLY OUTDATED masterlist so fuck it. Let's do it anyway! Also, I hope it's fine I'm leaving the reader kinda open ended as usual so everyone can kinda insert themselves into this better. Thank you for the request and the chance at writing more Kai content!)

~Kai's Quirkless Reader & the Hassaikai~

-Quirkless? Not that much of a shocker he'd fall for you. The boss being in a relationship? THAT is the shocker everyone hasn't managed to let go of just yet. In fact, most of his inner circle thinks he's holding you hostage while the other half wonders how you could've ever fallen for someone as rough as Overhaul in the first place. Did he even know how to date someone? Overhaul doing gentleman shit? Overhaul possibly kissing you one day or holding hands? Overhaul being in the same vicinity as someone else for longer than a few hours? There was a slew of gossiping he couldn't really shut down (or intimidate out of the men) for a very long time. He was trying to at least get it out of control before bringing you around to meet everyone for the first time.

-He took the time you introduce you considering he would have some of the members of the Hassaikai be your personal bodyguards or escorts when he couldn't join you out. Aside from this, he didn't really want you interacting with anyone else than himself. You were headstrong (or stubborn as he'd put it) and wanted on your own to develop meaningful relationships with his main group. Where he saw workers, you saw his friends despite him never calling them that. You wanted to be as important to them as he was. None of the men really complained since you were a breath of fresh air compared to Kai. With the help of Pops preventing Kai from killing the guys, you were able to try and get to know each of them.

-Hojo thought of you as a little sibling almost, no matter what your age is. You could literally be older than him and he'd still try to treat you like a little sister/brother/sibling. It was odd, but you didn't seem to mind how careful he was or protective nonetheless. Setsuno was a lot more careful with you since he didn't want to end up like mince meat. Had you not pushed hard for him to come out of his shell, you never would've learned all the wonderful parts of his personality aside from being a legitimate gang member. Tabe was more or less clingy to your kindness. This is especially true if you end up trying to greet him with something to eat. He adores you now.

-Rappa was actually pretty taken with you from the moment he met you. Someone brave enough to go against Overjerk's rules and do what they wanted regardless of the outcome? Oh yeah, he thinks that's fucking awesome of you. Tengai is more careful about guarding your feelings and still doesn't greet you by your first name even to this day. He also spends a lot of time scolding Rappa when he's around you since he's worried the big lug will offend you somehow.

-Nemoto has been and always will be the absolute most respectful with you. He greets you with the utmost proper manners and tries to make sure you have everything you might ever need whenever he's on duty for you. You've been trying for a long time to break down his walls and get him to chill out more but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon. Deidoro fucking loves you and loves even more the fact that he can be as crazy around you as he wants to be...well, as long as Nemoto isn't there to stop him from having that fun. You don't mind it. The man is a hoot!

-Chrono has become somewhat of a close friend to you. He knows when to let his guard down and relax ever now and then. Don't get me wrong, he still respects Overhaul very much as both a friend and a leader! It's just that when he's out with you, he's not gonna say no to putting a dollar in a prize machine and trying to win an IPAD with you. If you could chose anyone to hang out with for a day, it usually ends up being Chrono. It makes sense that Kai has gotten jealous a time or two of you relationship together. Mimic on the other hand...he doesn't worry as much with you two being together. In fact, your first impression of Mimic was that someone must've been pulling a prank on you. There's no way this beanie baby can turn into a full grown man on command. Mimic thought you weren't real when he met you too either. "How much did the boss pay for you to pretend to be his partner?"

-Katsukame was...a lot upon first meeting. He let a few inappropriate comments slip and you nervously laughed it off until Kai came out and killed the guy in front of you. Since then, Katsukame learned his place around you. Oh and Pops? That old man adored you since the very first moment. How could he not? You're giving his misguided boy a chance to experience real love for the first time! To him, you were considered family from the very first day you took Kai's heart.

BnHA Chapter 146: Why Are We Still In This Basement

Previously on BnHA: Flashback!Kirishima nearly gave up on his dream of becoming a hero after freezing up during a sudden villain encounter. But then he watched an old interview with his hero Crimson Riot, in which Crimson admitted that he felt fear just as much as anyone. He said that having a manly spirit doesn’t mean being confident or not feeling fear; it means doing your best to live your life without regret. After hearing this, flashback!Kiri had a quick montage and turned into first-day-at-U.A.!Kiri, dyeing his hair and spiking it up and declaring that he was saying goodbye to his former self. Back in the present, our current beat-up Kiri thought to himself that he still gets afraid regularly, but that what he fears most is reverting back to the way he used to be. Hot Gum -- who, you will recall, had charged up an attack by absorbing the energy from the villain’s punches -- told the bad guys they had underestimated Kirishima’s manly heart, and then punched the shit out of them.

Today on BnHA: Hot Gum flashes back to when Kirishima applied for an internship at his agency. He was excited to have someone with Kiri’s “can-do energy”, but Kiri admitted that that was all he had, and that he wants to be more than that and be someone who can protect people. Back in the present, Chance the Rappa is all “I’m not dead yet!” and gets back to his feet. Hot Gum is all “oh shit”, but then Rappa directs him toward a room with first aid supplies and tells him to tend to Kiri’s wounds. He says that both sides are basically all out of strength, but he wants to continue the fight because he really!! loves!! fighting!!!, and so he wants the others to heal up because he’s taken a personal interest in them -- Kiri especially. Hot Gum heals Kiri up and congratulates him on being acknowledged even by the enemy. We then finally! cut to Overhaul, who’s headed down a corridor with Eri and one of his minions. He’s holding the finished quirk-be-gone serum, and he tells his new “temps” -- Toga and Twice -- to get to work.

I may or may not have lost my patience completely and started ranting and raving halfway through this chapter. Just giving y’all a heads up. I kind of hit my limit lol.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’ve read up through chapter 176 now, so any ETAs will reflect that.)

AND YET BEST JEANIST STILL GOT TO BE THERE EVEN THOUGH HE’S NOW LAID UP IN A HOSPITAL SOMEWHERE. GOD BLESS YOU

the hype text is talking about the climax of the battle against the Eightfold Cleansers. dare I hope?? this arc has gone on for a bazillion years. and it feels even longer due to me taking such a long time to read it. but I recently passed chapter 100 in the tumblr recaps, and I thought to myself that I’d better get going again or before I know it I’m actually going to catch up and not have anything new to post lol

all right! so Hot Gum just finished punching the shit out of those two villains and now they’re KOed. thank fuck

but Kiri isn’t looking good omg

Kiri’s weakly mumbling “who’s there” and Hot Gum is all “IT’S ME, FAT GUM, I’M JUST HOT NOW”

Kiri’s really out of it and muttering that he’ll protect him. “gotta do... what I can...”

and wow. are you guys really gonna do this to my emotions right now. really. really

now we’re flashing back to the first time they met, I guess! they’re at FG’s office and FG is all “wow Tamaki you actually brought a friend”

and he recognizes Kirishima from the sports festival and he likes the cut of his jib!

he’s complaining that Tamaki always gets too nervous at the festival “and ends up in last place every year!”

then how did he land this internship with you I wonder

Kiri says that Fourth Kind said the same thing at his previous internship (about liking rambunctious guys with guts and a positive attitude)

Chance the Rappa is telling Hot Gum to tend to Kirishima’s wounds. at first he refers to him as a kid, but then he changes it to “man”

whatever dude I don’t even care. that’s so nice that you respect him, now could you please LIE DOWN AND DIE ALREADY so we can save Eri!! and find out what happened to Mirio! and see what Aizawa and THE GODDAMN MAIN CHARACTER are up to jesus christ

but no we’re still in this scene! Hot Gum’s staring at him like “are you serious”

all of this happened because Horikoshi started working on that fucking movie. that’s it, isn’t it. all his energy was going into that and he started neglecting the actual series. and we get stuff like this that no one fucking cares about and it should have ended five chapters ago

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m actually starting to look back fondly on the damn Hosu arc. remember Stain?? he may have never shut up, but at least he was defeated within a reasonable amount of chapters, and didn’t lead a bunch of heroes through a boring maze to take on a bunch of fifth-tier villains. who don’t even have interesting character designs because they’re all wearing THE SAME GODDAMN MASK. AND IS THIS SOME SORT OF PURGATORY, OR WHAT

he’s shouting for them to heal up so he can continue their death match

and now he’s picking up Kirishima who looks so small in his arms! :/

but really he’s just answering that he became a villain because Overhaul’s the only guy he ever lost to

okay so the guy in the hooded cloak (I straight up forgot his name, it’s been ages. future me will have to pick up my slack) is carrying Eri, who looks terrified

(ETA: oh is that how it’s gonna be. lol. this is Chronostasis, everyone. and I’m pretty sure past me thought this was still the bearded babysitter guy tbh. but just wearing a cloak now. in my defense, there’s literally no way to tell that it’s a different guy)

they’re talking about the future of the Precepts

Hood says this is the end for them, but Overhaul says that as long as he and the boss are around, the Precepts won’t die

apparently most of their henchmen are loyal to the boss and not Overhaul

I like it but what is the Shie Hassaikai kumicho anyway? Is it the eightfold cleansers?

Whoops yeah, “Shie Hassaikai” is the name of the Chisaki’s Yakuza group. It’s just that, scanlators Fallen Angels and Mangastream uses different translations (Eightfold Cleansers for FA and Eight Precepts of Death for MS) and the official Viz uses Shie Hassaikai so I decided to use that (wow)

“Kumicho” is the title of the Yakuza boss. Or Oyabun (literally godfather).

hello, this is callon. it’s been quite some time since our last tour, and a lot has happened in headspace. some minor shifts have happened in the spaces we’ve already spoken about, but i don’t think they’re significant enough to merit re-exploring those spaces at the moment, so please feel free to check the maps if you’d like to know.

in the main house, vex’s room has expanded into a suite. what used to be eir closet is now a small living room, which is considered venic’s domain. it has two couches, facing each other over a low glass coffee table. a standing light is against the wall farthest from the door. all of the furniture looks very much like the sleek series from ancl, except the lamp, which is the kind that branches off into five lamps with open oval-shaped covers. the branches can be repositioned at will.

venic says that the coffee table can be turned into an operating table when kye needs it, but i don’t really see how that could be the case. there’s a shiny stone chess board on the far side of the coffee table, and a few glass coasters. the chess board seems to be the kind that you can store pieces inside it. venic smugly implies that that’s not all kye hides in there, but to be entirely honest, i have no idea what else kye might want to keep hidden. it’s not like any of us smoke weed.

heading back into vex’s study. the L-shaped desk against the back and left walls still looks a lot like canon. but in the front right corner, jace has set up a nest consisting of a beanbag chair and a couple cushions, as well as an expensive-looking laptop and some assorted sound equipment, though not a full dj set. there is also scrapbooking paraphernalia, both in jace’s workspace and vex’s.

slightly father back on the right wall than jace’s space is a door leading outside.

upstairs, riley’s room has also been expanded. si’s sleeping right now, so it’s quite dark and i’m not able to snoop that much, but the bed is outright huge, and has an inordinate amount of pillows, even considering that the room now houses 2-3 people regularly. there’s a vanity covered in makeup against the back wall, to the right of the bed. and against the front wall are a few chairs, the kind that are a simple metal frame with canvas fabric hammocked on it. to the left of them, against the wall, is a minimalist white dresser, with an arrangement of succulents growing in pots and terrariums on top. the majority of everything is light pink and mint, but there are some powder blue and white features as well.

there’s a ladder against the wall behind the bed, white metal, which leads up to a hatch in the ceiling. nessie seems upset that i’ve noticed it, but not to the point of preventing me from climbing upstairs.

the attic used to be ailecent’s room, but now it’s been converted into a very cute study. the slanted walls are white washed, and fairy lights are draped from the ceiling. against one of the not-slanted walls is a desk, on top of which seems to be a sleek new macbook and several planners, as well as a cup of cute pens and highlighters, and a small case of simple pastel washi tape. a small whiteboard calendar and a couple simple prints are tacked to the wall.

against the opposite wall is a pile of beanbag chairs. a couple books and magazines, as well as smaller zines, lie scattered nearby.

when i climb back down the ladder, i learn that riley had only been feigning sleep for at least my most recent visit. si sheepishly apologizes for converting ailecent’s old room. i tell sil that it’s fine, ae hadn’t been using it since kestrel showed up anyway. nessie says she told sil so. i tell them that they should still apologize to ailecent rather than me if ae comes back around.

the last change in the main house, a subtle one, is that the tv stand in the main room has been replaced by a desk for ethan. aside from the colour scheme and the lack of a computer, it’s quite similar to riley’s. their study equipment is all blue and brown and white and black.

leaving the main house, there have also been significant changes to azdien’s mansion. the main floor is by-and-large the same, with an exception i’ll get to in a minute. i don’t recall if the staircase to the left of the front doors was present during our first tour, but now it not only exists but leads both to a second floor and a basement.

when you go upstairs, there’s a hallway lined with bedrooms. many of them are empty. the front-left room has been converted into trysten’s bedroom, as i guess the main floor rooms are too small in sier opinion? the array of furniture is nothing you wouldn’t expect from a bedroom. all the fabrics are maroon jacquard. what metal accents there are alternate between dull silver and light gold. the wooden pieces are dark almost to the point of being black, but slightly on the warm side. there’s a canopy over the bed. a central table features a bouquet of roses in a vase, some of them just dark red, some of them the kind that are red on the inside and white on the outside. many of the accents are rose-shaped as well, such as the knobs on sier dresser. sie has at least two or three bottles of perfume. the walls are dark, but not excessively so. i can’t quite distinguish the exact colour. the ceiling is a warm off-white grey.

out of trysten’s room, the back-left room of the second floor seems to be converting into a room for aren, but hasn’t quite gotten anywhere yet.

downstairs, into the basement. the staircase itself is wrought-iron, quite fancy, spiraling. it’s coated with copper.

the basement is made of rough dark grey stone. the walls seem like they would be easy to climb if they were not slightly damp. it reads very much like a dungeon, but no one is kept prisoner here.

through the first door on the left is vaccine’s study. a sturdy desk sits centered towards the back wall. it has some trays for paperwork and a cup of pens, most of which are the thick expensive kind. they also have a stamp and stamp-pad. i have no idea what kind of official business they expect to be conducting, but they are certainly prepared for it. against the back wall is a flag with the logo of the eightfold cleansers on it. against the front wall are four chairs, two on each side of the door. although there’s room for more furniture in the room, there isn’t any. the floor is smooth cement, and the walls are simply whitewashed. it looks nothing like the hallway of the basement, but the air still feels slightly damp and stale. everything is black and silver minimalist. it’s an intimidating room, overall.

the next door leads into vyrn’s chamber. i don’t know why, but xe doesn’t like it much, and only goes there to brood. it’s made of the same rough stone as the rest of the basement, and just as poorly lit. i don’t know how i can see anything, but i can. against the back wall, taking up a good third of the room, is don thousand’s throne. or rather, a replica of it, with none of the ill intent or the powers.

there are several other rooms in the basement, but they’re presently unoccupied.

beneath the basement, separated from azdien’s mansion by nearly a story of dirt and rock, is a room the size of a master bedroom, with no actual entrance. you can enter by phasing through the floor or by asking drohen to create a portal, but in my opinion, neither option is particularly appealing.

this is kisoquine’s room. all the walls and contents of the room are brightly coloured, mainly yellow orange and pink, but not exclusively. there are balls like one would see in a ball pit against all the walls, but for some reason, they don’t roll into the middle of the room. there are also two or three yoga-balls in the room. and a gumball machine, the kind with a small-scale rube goldberg machine inside.

kisoquine, apparently showing off, tosses one of the ballpit balls in the air, and then pops it like a balloon. a liquid, hot pink and glittery but blood-scented, erupts from it, but vanishes into the air before hitting the floor. some of it splashes onto kisoquine’s face. vyrn, sitting nearby on a yoga ball (floating), claps xyr feet and laughs.

i’m honestly pretty unsettled. drohen creates an escape portal for me, and i gratefully use it.

i exit into the library. this is the last area of change i wanted to show you. walking past the shelves of books set in the middle of the room, all of them tall and filled with leather-bound gold-trimmed books, there’s a huge bay window, the glass reaching to the floor instead of having a couch set into the wall. in the hollow created is a small circular table and two chairs, in white-washed wrought iron. a small bouquet of lilacs in a simple glass vase sits at the middle of the table. the windows are framed by light jade drapes, pulled back to let in the sunlight. on either side of the bay window is a hanging potted plant, leaves spilling over the edge and hanging down a couple feet, but not reaching the floor. the window itself is not stained glass, but is patterned around the edges with frosting. the entire nook gives off a very serene feel. elster is often found here.

(Thank you! I definitely hope so! I'm an adult but it's really hard for me to adjust to that sometimes. I'm super childish and kid around a lot. Extra sensitive and always anxious or crying when things get tough. I'm hoping I can manage to get it together so I can be a good mom. Thank God my husband is normal...at least enough to properly adult lol)

-One thing about Tabe is that he never ceased to amaze you, scare you, and surprise yet confuse you every day. Since moving in with him you noticed he does some things here and there to show you he cares about you. You would think they were normal things like bringing flowers home but instead you feel like a cat owner when it brings in a dead animal to feed you. He's odd in a way.

-Sometimes you catch him trying to do your half of the chore before his own because in his head, it's logical! If you have nothing to do then you can relax while he does his own half. He's always shocked you end up finishing his half before he even knows it.

-He tried at some point to do the rose petal trail to the bedroom but didn't rose petal to use. So instead he figured he's use mini marshmallows. Unfortunately some of them were too close to the candles and ended up melting into the carpet which took days to get out!

-He eats everything of course! This is a downside to his quirk! However, he thinks of you. Now that he has someone to love he has taken a second to think before eating. That's why you always find nearly empty items still in containers all throughout the kitchen. He saved you the cereal dust at the bottom of the bag and a teaspoon worth of milk too. Oh joy -_-)

-Probably the most off the wall thing he's done is bring home a stray animal for you since you like animals right?(because I said you do, reader) Well I hope you weren't expecting a stray puppy or kitty. Nope...Tabe brings home a random snake in a bush. But hey, at least he was thinking of you! So although his version of romance isn't exactly perfect, at least you know he's always going to give it his all when it came to you. That's just the way Tabe loves

my hero academia chapter 125 post

i haven't made a chapter post in a while, but the chapters have been quite good lately. i especially enjoy new characters such as noclip mickey mouse and snake boy who faces the wall. iida tenya has been the ura-star of the last few chapters too, bless him

at the end of the last chapter in particular, there were a FEW things i could comment on, so let's go back in time really quick:

all might's former sidekick, Sir, in his plainclothes outfit, looks like he should be some kind of Best ____ist. either that or the seme of an extremely generic yaoi manga (the kind with yaoi hands)

oh yeah, i remember this recently introduced villain, it's the lead singer of Plague Doctor and the Plague Doctors

tomura's outfit change signifies that he has exited the "also shops at pac sun" phase of hot topic shoppers and graduated to the "probably also shops at online bondage retailers" phase of hot topic shoppers.

and i thought "tomura, why are you smiling, what do you have to smile about after getting your ass kicked so thoroughly last time we saw you?" but i must concede that his smile does look significantly less cocky. as far as i can tell with that hand in the way.

anyway, chapter 125

(beginning of the first page) hmm i see the villains have moved their base out of the most populous city in the entire world. probably a good move

(beginning of the second page) looks like they're sorely missing their old array of barstools, though. also tomura is standing all chill against the wall there as if he's hiding from view that one pair of supernumerary hands that specifically clutches his bosom, like he wants to save that reveal for a dramatic moment later on

actually, ok, i've read the rest of the chapter without comment, and i've also noticed that the two scanlation groups that both work on heroaca (without collaborating, in a way that some might call redundant) have both released their versions on the same day this week...!!! the first version i read was the f*llen angels (which i'll abbreviate as FA) translation, and now i'm reading the mang*stream (which i'll abbreviate as MS) version. because that's what you do when there's two scanlations available. so let's compare~

color page: MS wins. their fonts, and the color effects thereof, are amazing compared to the cheesy comic book font choices made by the other version. both translations are fine, though i guess i'd give FA at least a bonus point for avoiding a line break by using "thrives" instead of "prospers."

first page: MS wins this one too, because FA did the "emphasize certain words with bold or italics" thing (which always messes with my head and is generally unnecessary and annoying) to get the punchline across, but MS totally nailed it with twice's "no worries. the folks inside are especially sick." and although i haven't seen the raws, it seems more likely that plague mask here would be speaking politely (as in the MS tl) than mouthing off (as in the FA tl).

second page: looks like MS got the better scan on this one, at least, but we're gonna have to go by panel here. first panel: i'm not sure which translation is more accurate, so i'm gonna ignore that first sentence in the first speech bubble, but i have to give it to FA for the second sentence. it's just better. second panel: MS wins. third panel: we've got "the so-called yakuza, the young leader of the eight precepts of death" versus "they call him a gangster. the capo of the 'eightfold cleansers.'" now, i'm 98% sure that "eightfold/eight precepts" part is some buddhist phrase, but i gotta say, "eightfold cleansers" works better with plague doctor's apparent fear of contagion. and i'm also 98% sure it literally says "capo" transliterated into katakana, so i'd prefer that version. HOWEVER. i can't give the full victory to FA, because although they say "they call him a gangster" in this panel, they proceed to translate it as "yakuza" for the rest of the chapter. they should've just used "yakuza" to begin with.

third page: MS earns no bonus points for translating the SFX in the first panel, but they win for the translation overall. it's just much better than FA's. however, both versions tanked the last line on the page.

fourth page: this one is really a mixed bag. i'd give panels 1, 4, and 5 to MS, but panels 3 and 6 go to FA because the word "kingpin" is quite good.

fuck i'm getting carried away. the fifth page, all i can do is offer an alternate script cobbled together from both, like "and so the question is... who will be the next kingpin?" "You ask that despite claiming to know who my sensei is... Do you mean to provoke me?" "The next kingpin / will be me." and then MS gets the rest of that page.

sixth page: there's a huge discrepancy in tone between the two versions (with MS having both tomura and plague doctor speak more eloquently, while FA gives them the jabbing, mouthy banter of american comic books) and i honestly can't know which is more accurate without reading the raws. but i will say that "pipe dream" is better than "delusion," "glee killer" is better than "hedonistic murderer," and "twice... next time, confirm their intentions before bringing anyone here" is better than "twice... next time you bring someone, make sure you have your head straight first." (that last one especially, i love the slightly exasperated but somehow forgiving tone of that tomura line)

seventh page: again i can't tell whether jaunty or serious is the actual tone of this guy, but forget all that and forget all your troubles as you stare into the gleaming gaze of bright eyes here. dude's inspired. bright eyes it is

eighth page: FA unequivocally wins this one for their translation that just feels way better. although i think MS got it right that the "shy and timid" in the last panel is referring to the girl and not to magne.

ninth page: i think FA did a better job with the first line, but MS did a better job linking the first line to the second line. third line goes to FA, fourth line goes to MS. and for the record, the sound effect for bright eyes interacting with magne's arm is "kari" = "scratch"

tenth page: did magic man change his mask? and it seems himiko is the last one to realize what has happened...

eleventh page: bright eyes’s sound effects as he complains about the filth: drip drip, wipe wipe wipe

twelfth page: both translations are fine. the real question is, is that a projectile in the second panel? oh, did one of bright eyes's allies send that flying in from the shadows to keep compress from compressing him? and then, in the fifth panel, the sound effects "bua" = "freaking out" (approximately) and "putsu putsu putsu" = "bubbling up" seem to indicate that bright eyes is breaking out in hives from pure panic.

thirteenth page: there's a pretty big difference between "AAAAHHHHH!?!" and "M-M-MY ARMM!!" does he say "ude ga" or not? anyway i love all the tomuras on this page. sprightly dash

fourteenth page: there's a pretty big difference between "things would have been clearer if you just did that from the start" and "it was fairly simple to foresee you'd do this from the start." my money's on the former tbh. and i'm pretty sure when bright eyes says something like "you were slow" in the penultimate panel, that ought to be translated as "you're late."

fifteenth page: MS misused the word "casualty," which does not mean "fatality" but rather refers to deaths OR injuries, such that the villain alliance team actually has one more casualty than team plague doctor. thus, the FA version wins that line for the sake of accuracy in translating it as "we each have one dead." as for the rest of the page... tomura-kun is looking awfully fucking wrinkly as all hell, isn't he. and bright eyes is tossing away his business card in that panel, not opening the door, so MS got that sfx translation wrong.

sixteenth page: thank god we got an unadulterated shot of pure tomura ankle in this chapter. bright eyes is like ":* call me" he can't help going easy on a fellow smizer***

seventeenth page: nap room... all might was the one napping? at first i thought both boys had settled down for a good nap before consulting all might. i like having deku stand next to someone with a properly tied tie so that you're forced to realize that no, it's not some abnormally small tie he's wearing, it's just a normal tie that's been wrapped around one too many times during the tying process.

well this post turned into a bit of a wreck, but it's... something...? i know it’s gonna be near-meaningless to someone who doesn’t have both translations in front of them, but so it goes
