I made these little silly puppets to give to Chili and Bandit’s voice actors since they were guesting at a local convention. I was able to hand them off and they were the sweetest people ever!

Everyone should learn basic crochet or knitting, because there will come a point when you are elderly. And being able to create blankets and hats, little bits of art that you leave behind, not only bonds you to your family when you are gone, but it gives you a way to contribute when you can no longer wrangle the cows or harvest the garden.

And there may even come a point where you no longer remember who or where you are. But you know what you do remember? You remember how to crochet. I worked in a nursing home and there were so many women with dementia who did not remember that they could knit, but if you gave them needles and yarn, their hands would remember and it would surprise them.

And instead of those women fretting because they didn't know what was happening, they then lost themselves in the meditative flow of knitting by focusing their attention and immersing themselves in the present moment. Which of course alleviates stress and promotes mental well-being. So you don't even have to know how to create a sweater, just knitting or crocheting a simple square helps you.

so humans apparently have thirteen cranial nerves that go DIRECT from the brain to the relevant organ, because that’s how Important the organ is. someone look at this breakdown and tell me if something seems off with the budgeting:

4 cranial nerves dedicated to the eyes

2 dedicated to taste (including one specifically for the tongue)

2 dedicated to the face (sensation and expression)

1 to the nose

1 to the ears and balance organs

1 to “shoulder elevation and head-turning” (i mean, i guess that’s important)

1 for “nobody knows but maybe to sense pheromones”

and 1 for THE ENTIRE REST OF THE BODY
