Also, Black's actually had a partner before, but they had to split due to goal differences (being a hero of the universe leaves very little time for settling down, and it isn't good for your partner's mental health if your life is on the line so frequently. so neither of them could handle it). As observed by White, he wasn't as arrogant as he usually is. It was interesting, because as far as White's concerned, that was the Only Time he was vulnerable EVER. Like, he was honest about his interests...his feelings...it was apparently quite endearing. I think Pink spoke to White about it a lot, but this was a long time ago, so his memory of it is fuzzy.

White pokes fun at him for a lot of things, but he distinctly refuses to make fun of this relationship specifically. Like, to the point where it's notably absent when they're arguing. Black was apparently REALLY sad about the relationship ending like that....like, it's the only time they've seen him openly sad. I don't think he reacted so harshly, even when Pretty disappeared...

I think Black hides his feelings a lot.
