@tripleyeeett You are SO FREAKING AMAZING AT WRITING ASTARION and so funny and down to earth and I love your no-bullshit attitude and nerding about BG3 and all sorts of stuff.

Also, I know that they haven't been posting stories for a while, but I do also want to shout out @asteralpine (kaeorin on AO3) - their Loki's Lullabies series was my first introduction to Loki fics (back in 2021); part of why I made a new tumblr account was to be able to share their stories, but more importantly I don't think I would have even started WEMTBB if I hadn't discovered the Lullabies! I have slowly been working on a mega post of all my favorite stories from the series and why I love them so much, but I'm starting to think it's going to be a multi-part post because with over 250 entries in the series, there are too many to fit in one post. These days, the lullabies can only be found on AO3 and you need to be logged in to read them, but I highly, highly recommend them. Oh, and also, there are other non-lullaby stories, and they also are all A+.

- Oh god this is a hard one hun, I’m a foodie by nature and by how I was raised. So a tie between a savory and a sweet here: a good garlicky shrimp scampi and any hot/cold fruit pies that include strawberry, blackberry or lemon.

pisces ⇢ what kind of art are you good at? (painting, dancing, singing, etc.)

I’m pretty decent at drawing and painting. I did this with my class during their art lesson as a silly sketch to help them:

But I’m also decent at singing (I had training for a number of years. But it’s been nearly 10+ since I’ve had that), I know tons of instruments of which my favorites are Drums, guitar and piano. I took ballet as a very very small child but now I have two left feet in my own opinion. Im very artsy considering my main degree is Theatre. Arts is the place I first felt some sense of belonging so I’m a creative creature.

9H ⇢ what languages ​​would you like to learn?

Oh so many. I know a little Latin and some Spanish, but I’d love to learn Japanese, Gaelic, and Italian as my top three probably. Because I love the look of kanji cause my soul and brain see it as such a worth art-form to learn. Gaelic cause it has ties to my ancestors and I feel deeply compelled to learn it. And Italian is one I’ve always loved listening to cause I grew up watching Italian chefs, food shows where they visited Italy and the language, it just honestly captures my attention in such a full way sometimes cause I personally tie language to culture deeply and Italian culture is one of the ones I’d still love to learn more about honestly.

oh boy, uhhhhh... honestly there's not a lot? i saw florida/wyoming once and i usually go for ships with either a well-explained historical context or a decent amount of canon context and i can't think of any for them off the top of my head, but also half the fun of wttt is a sandbox of 50+ characters to play with and so idk i don't even Get my own ships sometimes

a/n: this takes place in the same universe and makes a reference to my fic leap of faith which can be read here. you don't have to read it to understand this, though.

The first time it happens is an accident.

You’d been staying late–or, later than you usually do to finish paperwork that you’d been putting off so that you didn’t have to bring it home with you. You thought that even Aaron had left by now to be with Jack. 

“Y/N, do you know where the files from the recent Boise case are?” Your boss’s voice sounds a few feet to your left. He’s overloading himself again.

“Uh, yeah. They’re right here.” You point to the stack to the left of you. He turns toward the sound of your voice, and his eyes find the stack of files he’s looking for.

“Okay, great.” He walks to your desk and reaches his hand out to take them under his arm. You pick up the stack to hand them over to him, and his fingers graze the back of your hand. The skin where he’s touching you tingles with the tiniest zaps of electricity. You both just stand there for a moment, not saying a word to each other, until Aaron clears his throat, thanks you for the files, and goes back to his office.

And once you’re left alone with your thoughts again, you file that interaction away for later.

The second time it happens is not an accident. Not in the slightest.

It was another slow morning for the Bureau, so you were using that time to catch up on your case reports. With the file you need in your hand, you make your way back to your desk. That’s when you spot Aaron and Derek deep in conversation at the latter’s desk. The desk that happens to be directly behind yours.

Time to test my theory, you think to yourself.

Passing by Aaron on the way to your desk, your hand comes up to the middle of his back as you go by. “Sorry, boys,” you tell them as you squeeze past them. “Don’t mind me.” 

Derek gives you an easy smile. “You’re fine, pretty girl.”

Aaron, for the first time in the many years that you’ve known him, is speechless. He says nothing to you as you pass by him and Derek. Turning to sneak a glance over your shoulder at him, you could've sworn that his ears were pink.

“You’re doing it on purpose,” is the first thing Aaron says to you when he sees you later that afternoon as you take your lunch bag out of the break room fridge.

You throw a glance at him over your shoulder. “You’re going to have to be more specific.”

“Touching me,” he clarifies. “You’re touching me on purpose.” There’s something in his voice, but you don’t know what to call it. Not yet, anyway.

You set your lunch bag on the table in front of you and feign a sheepish smile. “I suppose I’ve been caught.”

He tilts his head in bewilderment. “Why?”

You look up at him through your lashes, and the smile from seconds ago has softened into something small and intimate. “Don’t you remember, Aaron? I have a mystery to solve.”

How do the girls get along

Pretty great actually!

Jenny and Kim are very good/close friends, since they met relatively early compared to others (they actually met each other first out of everyone, then others at one point and another) and had a shared adventure sometime after the ends of their respective shows (wink wonk).

But, their first meeting was not actually very um, positive. There was some conflict, but after it was resolved both of them gained a very solid friend for life!

Jenny, was glad to meet someone else (beside Brad) who treated her like a person/normal teenager (instead of an 8th wonder of the world or a freaky robot) and not to mention she got a fellow superheroine girl friend! After Misty, she kind of missed having someone like that to kick butt with (considering that like, 70% of her friends are dudes) or just hang out.

Kim was fascinated by Jenny, not because she is a robot (tho she does think its pretty cool) but because it kind of gave her a contrast to her own life in a weird way? Like, Kim was a normal teenager who got into superheroing on accident and just went with it, while Jenny was created with a goal of being Earth's defender but rebeled to have some sort of normal life. And now they both live those weird semi-normal lives, that led them to meeting each other.

Jun is around 5-6 years their junior and while they met each other much later on, when Jun was a little older (like not 11-12 age of the show), she still kind of looked up to them and both Jenny and Kim felt an instant kinship with the girl.

Before she met Jenny and Kim, Jun only knew a couple other guys as fellow heroes/magical protectors (guess who ;D lol), and while she had plenty of female role models (Ama/Jasmine being the most prominent) and friends, she kind of enjoyed meeting some cool older superheroines to bond with! It also helped that despite the age difference, both Jenny and Kim never looked down at her when it came to superheroing/fighting, but respected her abilities and expertise (considering that Jun was practically an apprentice to her Ama since at least 8-9ish of age, when her powers first awakened, she has a lot of experience).

They both are kind of like cool older cousins to her, who travel a lot for their work and come visit to hang out often and tell/share stories about their adventures. Their and her lines of work while similar, also run in completely different circles (human/interplanetary vs magical/supernatural), so its always a treat to hear about the things they do.

(And yes sometimes she feels jealous about the fact that both of them get to travel all over the world, and despite the developments, more often than not she has to stay town locked and limit her excursions to magical realms.)

Silly thing, but Jun absolutely adores Jenny, for one simple fact that she can travel to space just like that (she and Danny, fellow astronaut/space fans, share that, despite the fact that Danny kinda can travel to space just like that too.)

Can u give me some examples of chuuya and Dazai like, helping make each other better?

Glad you asked this question, anon!

Some examples include the scene in fifteen where Dazai goes from the beginning of fifteen, being all apathetic and not cryng about life. Mori trying hard to motivate him, to suddenly wanting live after meeting chuuya. Quite literally saying: "chuuya convinced me to live" and along with here, saying that he's got a new dog so he has to live now.

The gun shooting scene also served helpful for Dazai, he was spiraling and Chuuya, a gangster knocked the gun out of his hand saying "you shouldn't be shooting dead bodies". For a member of a gang to say this, it served as very contridcting to dazai but revealed more about chuuya's character and how what he did was (shooting the dead body) was wrong.

Another example includes in stormbringer, when chuuya is hallicunating dazai and the flags when he's tortured. The hallucination of dazai motivates him to not give up (bc he claims he isn't like him) and pushes him through the experience.

From Dazai's side in stormbringer, his capability to change that has always been there prior to oda is shown when he gives Chuuya a choice. This is a big deal which I see the fandom ignore a lot, but Dazai at this point struggled immensely with empathy, so for him to put himself in Chuuya's shows and give him a choice with the entire city was at risk showed how much he cared about chuuya's feelings, thinking about his humanity before the entire city.

Another instance includes the scene in which Mori says that he would die with Chuuya with the Guivre situation in stormbringer. Dazai goes from being okay with dying/apathetic about the situation to suddenly caring with the idea of dying with Chuuya is brought up. Chuuya constantly is seen to motivate and push Dazai to do things in the mafia at the time.

The Dragon Head Conflict in Dead Apple is a major example. Chuuya once again pushes him to get involved in major conflicts, Dazai is louching around not wanting to get involved until Chuuya says something to him about the situation.

Dazai is acting inhumane by disrespecting someone who died and in anger chuuya punches his face. dazai says "i'm human too" and chuuya says "no one would believe that shit" people misinterpet this scene badly as dehumanization but it's not. it's basically Chuuya giving Dazai a reality check and telling him to stop acting inhumane since he knows he is a human and is capable of acting humane. Stormbringer shows this, he sees dazai giving him a choice, him acting human. So since this is after that, it's basically him telling him no one will believe you're human if you act like this, so start acting like you're a human. Because of Chuuya's words, it motivates him to stop a turf war because of how mad he is.

In mayoi this is seen, with him telling Shibusawa how he was wrong for killing the colonel.

This exchange also shows the extent of their partnership, how despite the words Chuuya says to Dazai prior, he just knows him; by the mention of the microscope earlier he's able to decipher the intention of dazai. Their reading of each other can be shown to be "making each other better" as their trust in e/o as kids raised an abusive enviorment is definetaly interesting.

Chuuya is actively seen steering him to be motivated him who once lacked a clear meaning of life itself was.

I am and I’m not. In person, depends on if I’m comfortable or not. I have a touch of the ‘Tism so I’m not always good at reading to room to be talkative in large groups but in small groups and where I know it’s okay and safer (like online on my own tumblr) I’m gonna talk till I’m blue in the face. I’m talkative and I info dump constantly.

Yes. I don’t wanna be but I am. I was raised by one who also has OCD and she knows it and we both try to not let it psyche us out too much but sometimes yeah I am. And honestly I hate it cause it makes me doubt myself way too much.

Past me about two years ago? Yes

Current me now who has had to deal with a severe work induced depressive episode that almost ended very very poorly and has caused a buttload of physical health problems? No. There should be better work life balance for everyone. Working is all fine and good but doing things for your soul should be vastly more important at times. So no now I do not consider myself a workaholic.

But when E gives MC the reins after leaving Clearwater, the reins are described as being painted a color, with white flowers. Does the color always match the color of MC’s eyes? Did E have these made for MC? I have so many questions…

They will always be MC’s eye color as that is canonically E’s favorite color.

E used to draw and paint frequently but stopped around 16. When they do anything artistic anymore, it’s small (like the reins) and typically done just for themselves.

Offering the reins to MC was spontaneous and unexpected, even for themselves. It was a big step for E, and a big moment for their relationship with MC if accepted. It might not seem like it, but it is for E.
