What outfit did Pedoria come with?
He came with a Red Sox baseball uniform. That’s why his name is Pedroia, he’s named after former Red Sox player Dustin Pedroia.

i want to study at a bostonian university
i will pronounce water as watah and say "wicked pissah". i would watch the sox on espn all night while drinking dunks in southie. i'll have chowdah every day that's worth 5 dollahs. i would get flipped off while driving over a pothole on i-495 every night. i am also more likely to meet massholes, dustin pedroia, big papi and the guy from the douglass appliance commercials.
i wish i was bostonian :(

top 5 all time favorite red sox players?
I have such a bad memory for stats this is really hard for me to answer. A lot of my favorite players have been on vibes? Here is a list of 5 players I have really liked in some order:
5. Mitch Moreland. He played 1st base pretty well and was an okay hitter. He does not belong on a respectable list but I loved him. Big butt. Just a big thick man.
4. John Valentin. He hit for an okay average. He was our shortstop until nomar showed up and then he played third base. i was a shortstop/third basement in little league so he was my favorite player growing up. he turned an unassisted triple play once and made it look casual.
3. Mookie Betts. What the fuck man. I love Verdugo, and Connor Wong has actually turned out great behind the plate but how the heck do you trade away Mookie Betts.
2. Pedro Martinez. He should be number 1! He was like an automatic win every time out. It always felt like he had a no hitter in his pocket if he felt like pulling it out. They don't make a lot of pitchers like Pedro.
Dustin Pedroia. That's just a ballplayer right there. He was nothing but fight. If Nancy Wheeler were a prematurely balding second baseman approximately the same height as Actual Nancy Wheeler she would be Dustin Pedroia.

9 July, OAK @ BOS, 3-4, win
That game was flat out ugly. The Sox didn’t have a hit until Justin Turner launched the longest, highest wall-ball double ever, and that wasn’t until the fifth inning. And while the A’s have my sympathies, as I’ve expressed sincerely over the last couple of days, some of their fielding yesterday was beyond dire. Tyler Wade should genuinely feel ashamed about how half-assed both his defense and his lame attempts at a bunt were. For that team to play so badly and the Sox still struggled to get on the board is somewhat disheartening, but hey, they won. They Scrappy Rollercoaster’d it, coming from behind 3-1 (the one scored without a hit recorded - welcome to playing the 2023 A’s) to skin-of-their-teeth it thanks to a Masa Yoshida dinger that was so high out of the zone that if he’d been hitting from the righthand side I would’ve thought Dustin Pedroia had returned. I decided pretty early on to treat the game more as a hilarious haphazard spectacle rather than a serious ballgame with everything to play for and it helped considerably. Plus, there were plenty of bright sides.
Another scattershot, shake everyone out of the bullpen to put together a game worked again! Six pitchers took the mound and they did ok. Rodriguez was great coming back from the IL and Jansen got the save. It was not cool that the A’s got a hit from the first batter the last five innings in a row, but whatever, we still beat them.
Adam Duvall led the comeback in the sixth with a solo dinger. It would be very nice to see him finding his form again.
Masa Yoshida went 2-for-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI, that RBI being the game-winning homer he hit in the eighth inning, the one on a pitch that was, like, 10 inches above the strike zone. Something very Pedey like about that hit, even though it was from the other side. He also stole a base.
Christian Arroyo had a cracking RBI double himself, which tied the game up.
The Sox in general have been pretty aggressive on the bases recently and they’ve also won some games recently. I think those two things are connected.
Jarren Duran, not starting, pinch hit for Kiké and got a hit. Because that seems to be what he does.
We won!
The Yankees lost!
We won five in a row!
It’s the All-Star Break! Which means I get a few days off! Hurray!

WLU Baseball Head Coach Eric Burkle has announced that lead ESPN College Baseball Analyst Mike Rooney will provide the keynote address for the Hilltoppers’ 2024 Leadoff Dinner on February 10, 2024. Rooney has been a familiar face on the college baseball scene for years. He starred for current Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy from 1988-92 at Notre Dame, where he was teammates with current Chicago Cubs field boss Craig Counsell, and also coached at Arizona State from 1999 to 2004. He helped coach and develop a total of 19 players who made it to Major League Baseball, including such All-Stars as Dustin Pedroia and Andre Ethier. Rooney has worked as ESPN’s lead college baseball analyst since 2009 and is often referred to as the “voice of college baseball.” “The return of our Leadoff Dinner is huge for our program,” said Burkle, who heads into his 12th season at the Hilltopper helm having averaged more than 20 wins a season throughout his tenure. “Not only are we showcasing an outstanding and nationally known speaker in Mike Rooney, but we’re also putting the Belmont Savings Bank Practice Facility in the spotlight for our alumni, friends, and most of all recruits. We have outstanding facilities at West Liberty and this is a great opportunity to show them off.” The Leadoff dinner will be held inside the Hilltoppers’ 144,000-square foot Belmont Savings Bank Practice Facility on the WLU campus beginning at 6:30 pm on February 10.  In addition to Rooney’s address, the event will feature a catered meal by Aladdin Food Services, a video presentation introducing the 2024 Hilltopper baseball team, and a post-dinner “Night at the Races.” Tickets for the event are priced at $75 per person, which includes the catered meal along with three drink tickets. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the event will be directed to the WLU Baseball Fund in the West Liberty University Foundation which supports the baseball program through upgrades for equipment, the purchase of uniforms and other team needs, and continuing improvements to Kovalick Field.
