i wanted to get the four matriarchs outta the way. especially possumtooth, i really wanted an excuse to get possumtooth on paper

anyway, i structured the ‘‘clans’‘ differently than the books, and i wanted to kind of base them more on real life feral cat coloneys except, more? i think i mighta talked about it before, but they’ve got matriarchs and heirs, going down a more or less familial lineage. I also wanted my four matriarchs to be fairly diverse in terms of age/personality/situation. I’m gonna ramble about the four of them under the cut.

ok so we’ll go oldest to youngest.

Violetwhisker is the oldest, her coloney lives in a cliffside. shes a good leader, and makes smart decisions, but shes kinda pissy and over all pesimistic. her kits are Poppyspot and Roseheart, her grandkits being littlepaw and sweetpaw. I wanted her to show a more experienced and otherwise older matriarch.

Doeheart is the next oldest, only a moon or so older than Dusklight. her coloney lives in a long dried up irrigation/tunnel system near a creek. She has.. a strained relationship with her daughters, especially her oldest, Pine’snow. her other kits are Ripplefur and Speckle’stone. Ripplefur is the youngest of the three and works as one of the coloney’s med cats. Now, in Doe’s case, her mother Misty’eye was brought into the coloney and then voted into being the new matriarch after the last one was kicked out (its a whole ordeal honestly) and now Doe feels this pressure to be only the best leader and it puts a damper on her kits. Pine feels that Doe expects to much of her and her sisters and doesn’t want that for her kit, pebblekit. (its also a whole ordeal)

moving on, Dusklight is Crowflower’s aunt! I don’t quite know where i want her to live, all the good spots are already taken by the other clans lol, but i will think of something later!! uhhh,, anyway, Dusklight never had any kits and i dont think she wants to at her age, so instead of her kits, its either her sister Dawnwhisper, or Dawn’s kit Sun’fall. (Crow’s mom) (Moondust left to help another coloney and never came back, but hes a tomcat anyway) shes a good leader with a level head and a compassionate heart.

Possumtooth is a particularly special case. Her mother and older siblings passed very suddenly, leaving her as the sole heir. between inexperience and greif she had a hard time at the beginning of her leadership. Her girlfriend, Thistlefur, helped her through it and overall she has gotten a lot of help from the coloney’s elders and community. Thistle also ended up as her heir- at least for now, seeing as they don’t have any kits adopted or otherwise. I wanted her- beside just thinking a tiny, scrappy little cat as the ‘‘scary’‘ clan’s leader would be cute- i wanted her to show that not all the matriarchs are old wise cats, and that its also good to bring together the coloney and rely on eachother even in leadership positions. 2 years after taking her role shes still going strong :) I couldn’t fit it in earlier but her coloney lives in an old barn that half burned down

The senior warriors have observed her personality and think she would make a great working queen while being deputy. Perfect leader material. Ashenstride is a clear headed young shecat who knows its her duty to help her clan. She knows she will have to have kits someday, so she’s kind to the older male warriors. She’s sweet, and is always offering a handsome warrior to share a meal with her. A sweet talker, Ashenstride would be an ideal leader thanks to her warm heart, and the way she sees the whole clan has her kin. Ideal Partner: someone who will look good on her arm, possible interclan relationship, someone who is the kit of a leader/deputy Position | Clan: Warrior | Frostclan

Dusklight - very fluffy darker grey shecat

Family: Thistletail (father), Pureheart (mother), Dustystorm (older brother), Skydance (sister), Buttonnose (brother), Willowsong (younger sister), Birchpond (younger brother), Swancreek (younger sister) Gender / Sexuality: shecat / pretty gay Personality: gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss, has absolutely zero time for fucking around, work hard work hard, who heard of play? actually really enjoys it though, truly loves working, feels her best when she’s on patrol or hunting Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. Next contestant is Dusklight. She comes from two very in love parents, and their genes can’t be beat. With a pure blood Frostclan father, and a gorgeous kittypet mother, her older brother proved to the clan the near perfect soldiers that the two were creating. Trainable, like her siblings, Dusklight really shined in her apprenticeship. An eager student, she hardly needed to be told direction more than once before picking up on it. A visual learner, Dusklight observes things, and mimics. Its how she learned the low prowling fighting style of Smokeclan, and the weaving way that Brookclan handlers themself in battle. Dusklight has no intention of mating, Tom’s just dont interest her. With a crush on another clans deputy, Dusklight only has her eyes on the prize. She is a capable shecat who is gentle when needed, and harsher when she has to. Well respected, she’s patient and listens to someone before making a decision. Justice would be one word for the type of leadership she would bring to Frostclan. She considers herself bisexual, although her likes lean heavily on the molly side. She’s a little soft on the quiet shy soft submissive tomcats. Ideal Partner: deputy from another clan, or someone who steps up and like shows themselves as admirable to Dusklight, gimme the strong female fighter before dusk came onto the scene Position | Clan: Warrior | Frostclan

Fleetdust - fluffy grey tabby tom with big paws

Family: Poppysnout (father), Palewhistle (mother), Thriftbark (brother), Goatstomp (sister) Gender / Sexuality: Tom / bottom Personality: submissive, sweet, cuddley, touchey feely, wears his heart on his chest, very emotional, super fan of everyone, simp Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. Next contestant is Fleetdust. As a kit, he was coachable, picking up the opinion of the older warriors who had a loud mouth. He was the perfect moldable young tomcat. Fleetdust is a very physical Tom. He’s an incredible fighter, finding thrill in physical prowess. Quick to back down in social situations, he’s happy to agree rather than argue. He can easily be swayed one side or the other, depending on who talks the most. He’s got the biggest hard on for anyone who is big and strong and willing to allow him to tag along with them. Currently mooning over Dusklight, he knows the shecat doenst want kits, and he’s very okay with that. He spends most of his time with young warriors or apprentices, finding more in common with them as the croon over the older warriors. Ideal Partner: the deputy, a hero from another clan, the step up person Position | Clan: Warrior | Frostclan

Morningfog - fluffy white shecat with blue-grey patches

Family: Rainfall (father), Shrewnose (mother), Cloudypatch (brother), Blueflash (sister), Dayclaw (younger brother), Silverpath (younger sister) Gender / Sexuality: shecat / bisexual Personality: strong, capable, independent, becomes caretaker for younger warriors, great leadership qualities, approachable Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. Next contestant is Morningfog. Morningfog is a young shecat who excels on the battle field. She is a strong fighter, her warrior name a nod to the way that dog creeps, and so does this young warrior in the fluffy snow. Admired by the male warriors, Morningfog has gained a lot of attention since becoming a warrior. She’s told her kithood best friend Ashenstride that she’s not giving up the warriors den for the nursery for just any tomcat. Ideal Partner: the softer one, someone who can out preform her, maybe the one with his eyes on a leader position, or the deputy would be good too Position | Clan: Warrior | Frostclan

Rubbleclaw - large silver tom with pale grey tabby stripes

Family: Hazecloud (father), Hailstorm (mother), Cliffstreak (brother), Rockheart (sister) Gender / Sexuality: tom / bisexual Personality: tough, strong, big boi, Casanova, smooth, seems too charming to be good, *hes a tramp*, but fr, when he smiles its genuine, but looks like a scary tiger grinning at his meal Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. First contestant is Rubbleclaw. Rubbleclaw’s grandmother is the kit of Honeydapple, the traitor. Yet Honeydapple had big Maine coons in his family, so Rubbleclaw got those gorgeous big paws and tufted ears. Rubbleclaw is certainly one who can handle himself on a battle field. His mentor was a fight first ask questions later type warrior, and Rubbleclaw was a mini-me. He is quick to arguments when his patrol comes across another clans. Despite that, he’s a natural born leader, and younger apprentices flock to him. He’s also dangerously smooth with shecats, and kind towards kits. Its so funny watching the little ones tumble over his huge paws. Ideal Partner: the soft one, give him a lil wife or hubby, someone tiny for his big paws, also the big wife who needs someone with bigger paws to hold them Position | Clan: Warrior | Frostclan

Swancreek - fluffy off white-grey shecat

Family: Thistletail (father), Pureheart (mother), Dustystorm (older brother), Dusklight (older sister) Skydance (older sister), Buttonnose (older brother), Willowsong (sister), Birchpond (brother) Gender / Sexuality: shecat / pansexual Personality: obviously motherly, sweet, kisses booboos, soft spoken, shy, not assertive Backstory: It was after the apprentice den was empty for two seasons that the senior warriors realized something had to happen. They did too good of jobs training the young warriors, and they were so focused on the clan, they didnt mingle. So the senior warriors and elders stepped in, arranging matings. The plan was to raise from a kit, the next leader of the clan. First contestant is Swancreek. Part of an arranged mating for the intent of a head queen, Swancreek is the kit of known half-blood Dustystorm. His mother was a kittypet who came to live with the clans when she became pregnant with Dustystorm. Dustystorm’s father is a pure blood Frostclan Tom though, so when Dustystorm was set up, they knew he’d have a lot of kits. Swancreek is from his second litter. She is the softest, sweetest little shecat ever. Soft spoken, and so sweet, Swancreek has enough mixed genes to keep Frostclan diverse. Her thick, yet not long, pelt is something they need to survive. She loves kits, and awaits a Tom to want to be her mate. Ideal Partner: the strong one, the big bf, or gf, someone who really wants a family Position | Clan: Warrior | Frostclan

You'd be surprised to know this is actually a redraw too! At least, in spirit.

Back in the day, circa November 2017, I only had a single OC, Skip. Almost five years later and the crew has grown a lot... friends, rivals, partners. I thought it was really sweet to look back on and see how far he and I have come.

This was my art, back in 2017... REALLY nuts to look at it nowadays, haha.

that is a loaded question. she hates many things, even herself. the thing she hates the most is Maul as he killed Qui-Gon, even after Maul's "death" she is still angry at him. how dare he take Qui-Gon away from her, he had no right to do that to Qui-Gon or to her.

but she's also mostly mad at herself, that she couldn't save him, that she wasn't there to help him. she's also angry at the force, for letting this happen to him, he didn't deserve to die.

“Hypatia Dogmatiko.”

“Oh, my full name, I must be in some kind of trouble.”

Tríona sighed, pinching her nose bridge. Hypatia sprawled out along the couch, both regal and irreverent in the same elegant-messy stance and the exact posture was making it hard to concentrate. “Hypatia Dogmatiko, how many of our peers have you humiliated on my behalf?”

Hypatia hummed, leaning her head back (it might as well have been an invitation to lean in and bite- but Tríona wouldn’t. Hypatia was out of her league, after all). “Do you want the list alphabetically or by how much their reaction pleased me?”

“If the university catches wind-”

“Then I have a USB with their name on it, with evidence they previously said couldn’t be true, that I’ll release to a couple different journalism outlets.” Hypatia patted a small space on the couch near her. “Come. Sit. I won’t ask twice.”

“…you do know you never asked to begin with, right?” Tríona sat in the space, spine stiff as she tried her best not to invade her dorm mate’s space (hard to do with Hypatia taking up so much room on the couch, between her height and posture).

Hypatia wrapped an arm around Tríona’s shoulders, dragging her into the personal space she tried to respect. “Listen to me, my little lackey. Those toads bullying you have had it too good for too long, especially when they were after my henchman.”

Tríona settled her legs, trying to get into a proper position (anyone else would’ve thought they were snuggling, but Hypatia would use that combination bio-chemistry degree to turn them inside and out) but failing with Hypatia’s gentle but firm grip. “…Pashaaaaaaaa-”

“I am sorry you found out. How did you find out?”

“One of them told me that you told them to apologize to me or, I quote, you would cut off his balls.”

Hypatia clicked her tongue. “Oh, bad form. It seems his testicles aren’t safe after all.”

“Paaaaaaaaasha!”

“Listen! I am rather sorry you found out in this way, but no one hurts or defaces what is mine.” Pasha tilted Tríona’s head up by the chin, gently. “And…you do know you are mine, yes?”

Tríona tried so hard not to melt on the spot. “I- um! Hm?”

“…oh dear heart of mine, I think I need to come on a bit stronger then.”

ok i did another batch of cats <3

I ended up redoing the hierarchy thingy in an effort to make it a LIIIITTLE more like feral cat colonys irl? idk basically theres a matriarch, which is a hereditary position. Right now thunder's matriarch is Dusklight (also got rid of the ''star'' suffix cuz its not a starclan/divine kind of position w nine lives anymore, just next in line after the current dies.) Dusklight never had children, but Dawnwhisper did, so her neice, Sunfall is the heir. after Sun is Crowflight, being the oldest she-cat in line, etc.

other than that is the medicine cats- which there is a necessary two in every clan. Skyfeather is Foxberry's mother and shes deaf. not too much to say about her, very experienced. tends to go off vibrations and body language, and a series of tail movements for communication- sometimes drawing pictures in the sand/on stone with dye if really needed. Mudpuddle is younger than he looks, and ended up adopting and naming Wormpaw and Dirtpaw after finding them abandoned at a young age. i love them :)
