Any modern AU of Dungeon Meshi needs to acknowledge that Marcille would be ears deep in the most asinine shipping discourse. She is the pair the spares, my OTP only girlie. She has a ship chart for every piece of media she engages with in a matter of hours. She lives for drama and love triangles but also wants everything to settle into nice neat pairs of happy couples at the end no matter how tone deaf it is. She obviously has gay/lesbian ships but sanitizes them into the most conservative heteronormative domestic shit you can imagine regardless of how buckwild the story was. She ardently rejects the idea of any of her blorbos being bi or poly to a degree that makes it very obvious she's closeted and projecting.

Has Senshi lost to anyone?

Not yet, but the closest he has come to losing was against Falin Touden from Dungeon Meshi It was like 47 point something to 52 point something percent and there's like 2 hours left in the poll at the moment. But I've already got a request for a rematch in the poll after some major manga spoilers are revealed in the anime which could change the tide and the rematch. Now I definitely won't do that rematch until that spoiler is revealed in the anime for obvious reasons. Now that is probably the only way I see him losing at least for the foreseeable future as long as Dungeon Meshi remains in the weekly top 20 overall Fandom chart.

Now if it starts slipping on the overall chart and then even farther on the Manga and Anime only chart. Yeah he's probably going to start to lose because some other anime sexy man has probably going to take it over at that point.

Now if anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about Tumblr does have a dedicated blog where they share this weekly fandom review data. Where they compile all website wide data to determine what is the most popular fandom related topic each week. And it's not just anime and manga. They share stuff on Ships, TV shows, movies, music, K-pop, and a lot of other stuff. I'll go ahead and link it

It's quite interesting to see the weekly trends and it might help people understand why some fandoms consistently get more requests than others

I don't think I have enough ships to make a chart worth it so I'll just talk about the ships I like

marcille/falin: like many people this is my number one dungeon meshi ship. their relationship is adorable. falin can be both a grounding presence and a silly goofster which is what marcille needs

kabru/laios: I don't know how this would ever happen bc laios is oblivious and kabru has self-respect but it's very funny to imagine. I like the idea that their relationship is exactly as it is in canon but kabru is attracted to laios

marcille/izutsumi: it's sweet how they came to actually respect and care for each other. I like them just as much platonic or romantic so this is definitely the second tier marcille ship to me but it can't be denied that she has so many casually tender moments with izutsumi

laios/the demon: I mean I don't know if I would call this a ship but what was going on there was crazy. I'll be thinking about that one for a while

I want to believe that some of the canaries are fucking each other but we just don't see enough of them when they're not on the job for me to get a clear picture in my mind of what would be the best ship

sorry, friend...I see the vision but I have zero interest in it, and it's REALLY hard for me to take it seriously. Especially with the canon split personality episode which - contrary to popular opinion - I was.....not a fan of.....but I've also never been a fan of selfcest-type ships so *shrug*

Dungeon Meshi tho!!!!! I am fully caught up on the anime and so so so in love with it!! Haven't picked up the manga yet, but I'm considering nabbing the physical copies once I've set aside some money for it

Hii, the only one that caught my attention when I looked at the chart was "Maju to Yajuu" and I just watched the first episode and it did not disappoint!! Definitely the best I've watched so far quality and plot wise, even the music is good, so I'm definitely gonna keep watching it. I also watched "30-sai made Doutei dato Mahoutsukai ni Nareru Rashii" today and it's my second favorite!! Super adorable and funny, very pretty art style too. I'm definitely watching those two this season. Yesterday I watched "Metallic Rouge" which I thought would be in my top 2 but tbh the first ep was kinda boring to me, I'll give it a chance though and watch a couple of eps more (I was gonna drop kkss on the first ep and then it became my fav anime lmao).

Other than that, I tried to look for comfort anime so I watched "Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san" but meh... even the one with the little girl that loves animals had more substance... I mean neither is supposed to be taken seriously I guess but you need to have at least something interesting going on to keep ppl watching, right? And for the nostalgia I tried the one with the demon guy and the blonde angel but as expected it's only funny if you're 14 years old probably (why do I even try to give stuff with high schoolers as mcs a chance, god), waste of time.

And that's it, so 2 and a half so far lmao If anyone has any recs lmk please ^^ (not dungeon meshi tho, it looks like an anime i'd enjoy only if there's a ship I like and for what I've seen there are none).

Normally on wikipedia/wiki, (but i really wanted the pictures with the red background and i kept searshing for them everywhere) but this time on a tier list maker I found with every character on it (you can find it on tier list maker by writting dungeon meshi characters, it was the first result for me!) ! I just put the image on procreate to make them round so it could fit the chart !

For the character I couldnt find (like chilchuck wife) I just took a png of her on wiki and made the back red and round haha !
