hey nico.. considering getting the sonic adventure games and i need to know. does the steam ports improve stuff or should i probably just go with emulating them?

the PC ports are kinda bad but they're a much better option than emulation if you don't mind modding them. I know for SA1 there's a bunch of mods that restore almost everything that got broken in the porting process back to how it was on Dreamcast, and they're easy to install.

With SA2 I'm not sure if there's a simple "fix the game" mod but SA2 isn't as broken so eh. emulating the GC version *could* be a nice alternative here but you really wouldn't be missing out on much, and I like having the PC version's native widescreen, higher resolution and steam achievements and also my computer can't run dolphin

#emulating the original Dreamcast games isn't a very good option btw #the original games REALLY don't play nicely with non-dreamcast controllers. they're very fine tuned to the original controller
