After several delays, my first fightstick mod is done! I painted it and replaced the lever and buttons with Sanwa parts. The pink buttons are the King of Fighters normal attack buttons, while the white rims are the Street Fighter normals. Here's what it looked like when I got it compared to what it looks like now:
Joely finally stayed still long enough while I'm approaching with a camera so I could take a picture of him chilling on the arcade area rug the way he likes to.. 😺💜🕹️🌸
Got a 3D printer recently, and among a couple other things I've been developing a clicky miniaturized arcade stick to use in a project or two I have in mind. After a good number of iterations, while not PERFECT I think I reached a "good enough" stage.
How many iterations, exactly? Well...
First versions used mechanical keyboard switches (Kailh Box Jades to be specific), while anything after that uses the same type of switches you'd find on mice, allowing for a MUCH more compact form factor and shorter stick travel.
So I have just realized I never posted what my Arcade Stick looks like
It was a custom commission! Sadly I don't remember the artist nor do I know where they can be found outside of Twitter but I had the art and custom buttons made by them.
I assembled everything after ordering the acrylic plate and seimitsu buttons from focusattack.com
It's a stock MadCatz Fight stick Pro underneath sadly, the universal controller boards are expensive!
