ANDHSJ yeah the genders in inuyasha can be really confusing. if i remember correctly one of naraku’s minions is a guy but is voiced and looks very very feminine andns

yeah i bet you ANYTHING we are talking about the same character, dresses like a girl has makeup is voiced by a woman looks like a woman, but male pronouns. it really threw me ill admit but im used to it already lol. i feel bad for being thrown at all but im gonna cut myself a little slack cause i was surprised lol

adrien agreste redesign!

it took me way to long to actually finish this! but i’m really proud of its final state. this is an accompanying piece to my mari redesign.

i have to admit, i finished adrien’s full body refs really quickly, like a few days after i finished mari’s, but for some reason i really was not feeling his emotions. and, to be honest, i’m still a little peeved with how they turned out, but i did my best.

first off, i really wanted adrien to have a more business casual aesthetic. something i think gabriel agreste would actually design. so i made up a logo for the agreste brand, a simple “Ag” although now that i think about it, i probably should have kept that butterfly design that is on adrien’s shoes normally. i might make that change. anyway. then, i wanted to draw his hair similarly to chat noirs, because most holders’ hair doesn’t change too dramatically. so in adrien’s case, chat’s hair simply becomes a middle part instead of adrien’s side part. plus this hair is a lot easier to draw than what he had before. 

i promised to talk more about their color palettes, but honestly it can all be described in this one image.

so definitely a little random, but i have a long running personal project for miraculous, and along with it, i’ve redesigned characters I think deserve it. either because i don’t like their design, or i think they can be improved. so, starting off, we have marinette!

i tried to incorporate more of the asian feel in her character, something i know many of us in the fandom wish we can see. i understand she is half asian, so she’s not exactly going to look as asian as sabine or kagami, but i hope at least giving her sabine’s eye color was a good enough change. to add to that, i also tried to research traditional clothes. i know marinette isn’t going to parade around in a traditional dress, so i tried to get a marinette-branded look more or less inspired by traditional dress-- something i think marinette would make herself. thusly, she wears a more modern kimono jacket with floral embroidery. i’m not entirely sure if her shoes are actually similar to traditional shoes, but i think the inspiration is there.

also, when i finish adrien’s, i can discuss her color palette more in-depth, because of how marinette and adrien’s color palettes are supposed to be inverses of each other.
