Dear lord have the last few years been a trip.

If you knew me during the period of 2015-2018, when I was most active on here and predominantly active in the Snapedom you may already know that back then I was going through some capital S Shit. I was in an awful relationship, deadend job, broke, and overall not very hopeful about...life, to be honest.

I want to apologize for the sad lump I was and for whatever pain that may have caused any of you on here. But I also want to write a thank you to everyone on here who rallied around me during what was objectively the most difficult period of my life.

Whatever happened IRL in those years I knew I could come on here and someone would make me laugh. Or cry with their ingenious rollplays and fanfictions. Or just extend a hand of comfort and grace. The lot of you helped guide me through that and for that I will forever be thankful.

I'm in a better place now. I'm with someone who loves me and has gone to the ends of the earth to show that to me. I'm in a job with upward mobility and benefits. And I want to become active on here again.

I'm sure a great deal of my old friends have moved on from things, either the fandom or this platform in its entirety. But do me a favor. If you like Snape, or Spider-Man, I like him now, too, give this some notes. I'd love to see what you're cooking up.

A special shoutout to @snuffles-groovy-doghouse @sevi-seviyorum @doodlebat who were some of my first real friends here. I hope life is treating you all well. I think about you often.

Also, I had to get a root canal this year because I did not floss for a very long time. Please remember to floss. Heed my warning.

The Slytherins and Gryffindors all sat at their respective tables in their first potions class of the week. 

Pansy hesitated, watching Snape as he turned back to his desk.

Draco sat in the Slytherin common room later that day. He remained looking like his always put together self while the rest of the house was relaxing.

Blaise sits, getting ready for some sort of event as everyone else is winding down for the night.

Daphne was sitting alone in the common room, getting distracted working on her homework when Pansy walked in.

I’m angry I still want to know if you Sai and V are dating or not Goddamn it

Okay I’m going to answer this once and for all because at this point it’s just tedious 😁

1) I will never understand polyamorous relationships, nor do I think I will ever want to be in one. It goes against my relationship values. I don’t care what other people do or how many people they’re in a relationship with at the same time, but it is not my cup of tea. 

2) Sai and V are married. I’m not a homewrecker, thank you very much. 

3) I am fully and utterly devoted to my girlfriend, who I’ve been with for quite a while. I will devote myself to her as long as she is willing to be mine. I cannot be in love with anyone else, for she is my sun and stars. 

4) We live????? On opposite sides???????? Of the w ORLD !!!! 

So there you have it, my dude. @doodlebat and @snuffles-groovy-doghouse are amazing, I’m so glad I met them, and that we’ve been friends for as long as we have. I see them as two very interesting and different people who form a sort of unity, a partnership I have a lot of respect and admiration for. I enjoy seeing their relationship from the side, even if their sweetness often makes me gag (lol still luv u tho). It’s obvious to anyone who’s seen these two together that they love each other so, so, so much. It’s also most likely why they can make any pairing work - their love for each other shines through and you can almost feel it. And like, fuck me up, what a god damn amazing OTP.

Severus: Wait…

–

*Severus hesitates, fighting with himself internally, before he lets out a long sigh*

*Harry waits, not turning around. Only the feel of Severus’ warm hand on his shoulder lets him know that the older man is still there*

*Severus’ hand slides off of Harry’s shoulder*

Severus: I’ve never been good at accepting things. Especially gifts.

*Harry turns around to face Severus again*

Harry: What makes it so hard?

Severus: Everything came at a price…even if I didn’t want the gift.

*Harry bites his lip, thinking. He then moved to pick up the chest of rare potions ingredients again*

Harry: I hate to tell you this…but my gift comes at a price as well*

*Severus glares and opens his mouth to speak-*

*Harry grins and speaks before Severus could question him*

Harry: So you have to teach me about these ingredients. That’s the price. I want to learn how to make better potions.

*Severus visibly relaxes, albeit annoyed*

Severus: So I recall. Shame you were only proficient at potions when you copied from my old textbook

Harry: Then I need to relearn everything properly.

*Harry’s thumb traced along Severus’ jaw, scratching against the light stubble*

Severus: No need to use my old pen name against me.

*Severus tries to walk away but Harry catches him by the sleeve and pulls him back*

*Severus is at a loss for words for a moment, a pink tinge on his cheeks*

*Harry pressed his body against Severus’ back, arms tightly wrapped around his old professor*

*Severus gave a half hearted struggle*

Severus: Let go of me, Harry.

Harry: You’re cute when you’re all flustered and pink, but fine, I’ll let you go,

*The pink to Severus’ cheeks became a flustered red and he stiffly walked away to tend to his other work. His heart hammered in his chest, but all in all…it wasn’t an unpleasant feeling*

*Harry smiled and watched Severus leave, not bothered that he didn’t get an “I love you” back. He’d get it…one day*
