Day 5: Needing Advice

Sebastian works hard cooking up a storm in the kitchen, the birds chirping just outside the kitchen window as he slices some apples and pears.

Late autumn is a pleasant season for him. He greatly enjoys the slightly colder weather as the red and orange leaves dry up and shrivel down as the clouds grow thicker and colder until snow covered the land, he adored the ways hearts swell and beat in one motion as the sounds of crispy winds hit against the now bare dark bark trees, he loved the fun hunting seasons he used to attend alongside his kind before leaving Hell.

But now, he enjoys the hunt just as much.

With a small hum on his lips, the butler made his way upstairs to the young Earl of the house in the grand study of a room, the afternoon a calming affair around him as he walked his way down the hall.

His gloved hand reached out and knocked on the door softly before he entered the room, a habit he’s used to throughout the years. Upon entering the office, he sees the bluette Earl sitting at his desk staring at a letter of sorts in his hands. The butler smiled softly,

“Did Earl Trancy write to you again, Young Master?”

Ciel sputtered and “hid” the letter by shoving it to his chest, his lone blue eye glaring at the demon as he wheels the cart to the side of the desk and pouring some sweet smelling tea. “Today’s afternoon tea is a vanilla tea blend from the town’s market, and as a snack I have prepared some sliced apples drizzled in caramel sauce for you.” Said the man in black with an innocent yet knowing grin as he placed the tea saucer and cup next to the papers in front of the teen, the plate of apple slices coming afterwards.

He took notice of the Earl’s pink cheeks and still glaring eye and chuckled out, “Some friendly advice, My Lord, I say invite him over to a chess game. He’s a person, like you, who enjoys games even if he isn't quite good at them. I can even request Miss Doll to come too if you so order.”

Ciel blushed harder and practically slammed the paper down at the desk. “Oh, shut up!” He growled and took an aggressive bite off an apple slice, earning another soft chuckle from the demon beside him.

The afternoon rolled around carefully as Sebastian finally took notice of the rain that’s creeping up beside the human race. A smile comes to his lips as he looks to his Master where he pauses. Has Young Master been this tall before? Indeed, the once little Earl of the manor seems to be marching around proud with his height just easily noticeable and not just mere inches. He grins and shows off his peacock feathers to the butler as if sensing the surprise on the demon’s face. “What is it Sebastian?”

Sebastian blinked and chuckled a bit, “I just did not realize you’re actually becoming an adult now, My Lord. Though surely your legs are hurting, shall I put a kettle on?” The master shook his head, his hair slightly longer than the ears’ ends, swaying softly against pale skin. “I’m fine.” He said, a smile on his lips still as pride is obviously filling his chest. The butler smiles at this expression, “Very well then, My Lord.”

Snow falls down from the night sky as Sebastian walks down the halls of the manor, the scent of roasted chestnuts still lingering in the air alongside in perfect harmony of the soft pine that still hangs beautifully around the corners and every inch and bend of the stairway, the soft glow of candle light giving the halls that were once dead and haunted a warm welcoming glow of happy blissful memories in contrast of the once gloomy ones from the past. A cart with a small plate of chocolate cake and a warm iron kettle wheels in front of the butler as he walks past the frosted windows that face the illumination white landscape in front of the dark black canvas of the sky. Finally, he reached to a door and knocked softly, “Young Master, I have brought over your midnight snack.” Said he as he turned the glittering knob and entered the room. Instantly, the sound of a whine catches his attention.

Red eyes watch the scene of a grown adult dressed in pajamas that fit his age now but still have some ribbons and frills of youthful pasts cradling a little human of light brown locks of hair in his no longer small and weak arms, behind him seated in the lounging chair of the bedchamber is a blond fellow who softly sings to a wee infant with soft brown locks barely showing pass the blanket that wrap them up like a gift from God, and just beside the first adult is a woman with shoulder length brown hair who’s not having a so soft image like the two but instead dealing with the fussing dark haired toddler on her lap. Sebastian smiled softly in amusement at the scene and started to pour the sweet brown liquid of hot chocolate in three cups for each. “Is Little Albert fussy Miss Doll?” He asked, a small smirk hidden away showing he knows that boy is a fussy mess. The lady giggled softly at the tease and accepted when the cup of cocoa was handed to her, her golden band of marriage glittering under light. “Thank you Sebastian.” She said, her voice a sweet honey tone, kneeling the cup to the son in her arms who slowly took some careful ships and relaxed into her bosoms. The demon walked to the lounging chair to the blond man and offered the cup, pausing when a hand reached up in a stop motion. “Maybe later Sebastian, little Rachel is finally resting.” Said he, a smile full of love and happiness on the beautiful face as icey blues stared down at the soft skinned face of the sweet little babe in the cotton blanket. Sebastian smiles, “Of course Lord Trancy.” He turned to the final adult, and before he could open his mouth to ask, he spoke out before the butler, “You know I’ll never say no to your hot chocolate Sebastian.”

Sebastian chuckled and gave the cup to his master, smiling at the look of the little boy dozing off against his shoulder. As the three adults enjoyed the finally calm energy of the room, the butler gave Ciel a slice of cake and carefully took hold of baby Rachel from Alois so the man could enjoy a cup of cocoa alongside his partners. The demon stared at the small resting face in his arms and smiled, looking to the three who carefully moved the two boys onto the bed after they both tuckered out with little to no protests at all as they tuck them under the blankets at last. With a soft hum of his lips of a ditty from long ago, he carefully and gently places the littlest one in a lovely wooden carved cradle right by the room window, smiling softly at the view of dark lashes curled against pale eyelids. Carefully lifting the glass barrier, Sebastian snuffed out the candle light that lit the room and left the chambers with the parents with care.

The butler walked alongside the three who now show their tiredness fully as he helps them to their rooms as if something were to happen if he wasn’t along their sides at night. After they snuggled into the large bed that usually is only reserved for the husband and wife but have long since been used and worn by the Earl and his wife and their lover, they drank the remains of the warm cocoa and nibbled on the cake slices. Sebastian watched as his master yawned, smiling softly at the forever image of his small frame bruised and thinner than the icicles outside drinking some warm milk and honey even though now he’s grown and far past the little hurt lamb he was in the past. After accepting their dishes and bidding them a good night, the butler soon left the three be, and back again was he walking down the hall to return the dishes to the clean state they were prior. It’s almost strange to imagine these walls covered in cinder He thought as he walked and admired the manor he grew used to thanks to a certain small child rich in revenge and pain, smiling as he does as red eyes show warmth. Have a good rest, My Lord. May you dream of happy memories and the future.

I dunno if you have limits (if so I apologize for popping up the same day), but can I maybe possibly ask for something of the same ship (maybe with Alois I dunno if you write him or not) with the prompt of the Servants are confused seeing them come to the manor separately and wonder if Ciel is finally getting friends, but one morning after they stayed the night in secret ( 😏🤭 ) and they try to sneak out and Sebastian catches them in the hall, cue the threes very different and very bad excuses and lies

Recently, the servants have noticed something odd. They clean the manor from top to bottom, yet every night without fail, there's always footsteps somewhere. Baldroy had the idea of testing shoe sizes, but none of their shoes match the imprints or sizes of the footprints.

They kept silent about this, though. Mey-rin had a rough time in doing so, but they managed. They excused this as Ciel's doing. They didn't know his shoe size or the imprints of his shoes, to be fair. That was all Sebastian. And if they asked if they could see Ciel's shoes, that'd be... very inappropriate of them.

Though, they didn't like the fact the footprints would differ in size, albeit by barely.

They caught Ciel late at night, shocked to see the boy so nervous for once. "Young master?" Finnian would ask. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing's the matter. Continue with your duties." he sputtered, back leaning up against his bedroom door.

Finnian didn't understand, but retreated to tell the other two. The one who connected the dots first was Baldroy, naturally. "He could be hiding someone. The footprints, his anxiety, keeping his bedroom door shut..."

"Who would it be?" Mey-rin stuttered out. "Maybe a friend he doesn't want us seeing." Baldroy responded.

And so, satisfied with the reason, they dropped it. They continued to clean whatever prints there were without question.

Though one day, Sebastian started his duties early. He washed the dishes one extra time to be sure Ciel would get the finest dishes, when he heard something.

"Shh! You can't be so loud!" Ciel whisper-yelled. Thankfully, Sebastian had the ears of a hound. "Oh come on," a familiar voice spoke. "No one will be awake at this hour."

Sebastian turned the corner to see what was going on. There, lined up from left to right, was Doll, Alois, and Cole. He would've understood why Alois was here, but at this hour? This was no business meeting.

Watching a little longer, he noticed something else. Ciel's clothes were quite messily on him. Some aspects such as his tie were alright, but his jacket was wrinkled and his shorts were inside out. How unruly for a noble.

It was clear as day something had happened. Alois had what looked to be scratch marks on the back of his neck, Cole's lips were swollen, and Doll was holding onto a wall.

How did I not notice? Sebastian thought. I must correct myself as soon as I can.

He decided that this was enough. He needed to up the security of this manor. Unless for some reason, Ciel had let the three in.

"Boys, my lord." Sebastian spoke up. "..Why are they here?"

Ciel froze, hair on the back of his neck sticking up like a frightened cat. Alois let out a soft 'huh'. "Seems your suspicions were correct, Ciel!"

Nervously, Ciel turned to face Sebastian. "...It was business." "At this hour?" "Yes." "Without me present?" "Yes."

Sebastian squints. "Then why is Doll here? She has nothing to do with business. Frankly, I thought Cole would be the last person you'd wish to see, albeit behind Alois but he is more-so forced into your business..."

Alois clicked his tongue. Doll was paralyzed in place.

"What was this 'meeting' about?"

"The queen." "School." Alois and Cole collided reasons. Ciel and Sebastian let out a collective sigh.

"..And how did you come in?" Sebastian asked. "Door." "Window." they collide once more.

Ciel, at this point, had slowly retreated. Sebastian let him.

Sebastian doesn't plan to let them go until he gets a confession, it seems..

When I started shipping them: Season 1 episode 1 tbh. They have great chemistry and bother each other a lot but also genuinely care about each other which is so important!

My thoughts: Oooh you are not ready for my thoughts on them. Just got done doing a rewatch of Merlin BBC with my bestie and we suffered and exalted together

What makes me happy about them: The way they are willing to sacrifice themselves for each other! Merlin drinks poison for Arthur and Arthur ignores his father and places himself in danger to save Merlin's life, who his father dismisses as a mere serving boy and Arthur's like he's more than that!! to me!! and I just

What makes me sad about them: Girl the everrrryything 😭 the tragedy of Merlin doing all he can to prevent Arthur's death at Camlann but all he does just makes it happen. The tragedy of Merlin becoming so jaded over the course of the show, with how trusting and happy he was in season 1 and how unwilling he was to trust or give Mordred a fair chance in season 5 - especially when it came to the girl Mordred loved. The fact that Arthur never found out about Merlin's magic until it's too late!! That Merlin spends the whole show worried Arthur will hate him when he finds out, and does his best to ensure magic won't return to Camelot and advises Arthur not to trust magic,,,, ough agggh the agonies!!

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: no magic AU or modern AU. Yeah I know the show ends showing Merlin still around in modern day waiting for Arthur, but I don't care! I want them to be around in Arthurian times and causing and solving problems. Throw in angst as needed, but don't put them in a place without magic or in modern day. I also tend to avoid major character death - I'm usually not opposed to it if done right since angst is a good time, but since it happened irl in the show I can't handle it in fic

Things I look for in fanfic: I never say no to a good magic reveal fic!! Especially if it takes a minute for Arthur to forgive Merlin for not saying anything and he's mean about it and makes Merlin feels bad and then feels bad later when he gets over it and Merlin is sad and they work on themselves together. Hurt/comfort type stuff!

My wishlist: That Merlin's magic gets revealed to Arthur sooner than canon and that Arthur comes to terms with it and magic is accepted in Camelot, that Merlin dates Arthur and Arthur dates Gwen and Gwen dates Morgana <3 Also that Uther dies choking on his own blood. Not related to Merthur but also still related to them cause his Huge Bitch disease prevented them from being happy

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Merlin with Gwaine and Arthur with Gwen! Gwaine and Merlin are so sweet actually, and we see how good Arthur and Gwen are in canon

I never expected to love Alois and Ciel as if they were my children, so to speak. I take care of them, I keep them well. It's a lot, but I care for them so deeply.

And, well, Christmas with them this year was just wonderful. I often find myself encouraging their interests. The two, they are young. They love more "childish" things, and I always happily let them run free with their interests! If I can make them feel like normal children, if just for a while, I'm happy to do so.

I helped out my host with picking things. We got them these cute tiny backpacks themed after their favorite Trolls characters with some miniature figurines from the series as well, alongside an L.O.L. Surprise doll for them to open up together. We spoiled them, really, and I was happy to do so.

It was messy, your whole life was messy. You never asked for this. Being locked up like some dog, getting tossed around as if you were a doll. You fought alright, you fought hard. But what can a mere human do against two monsters. You had liked them to an extent. Sebastian was just the butler of your good friend Ciel. He was handsome, you had to give him that, but you had no feelings for him whatsoever. You were flattered when he had asked you out like a real gentleman, but you were quite the in depended noble, not currently looking for a relationship. He was upset yes, but handled it like a normal grown man would. There wasn't any tension between the two of you and he treated you the same as before his confession. Then he came into the picture. Claude Faustus, the butler of your other good friend Alois. With much difficulty, you got the three of you together for some tea and business. Not only could you feel the tension between the two earls', but the butlers' were no different. You wanted fuse with the wall as you sat there. To no avail of course, because whatever is up there despises you to no extent.

After some time Claude confessed too, and that's when it all went down. You denied him just like Sebastian, giving him the same explanation and he took it well. Understanding your reasons like a gentleman. But what you regretfully didn't notice at the time was the other butler lurking behind the corner.

What happened after is a bit of a blur for your tired out mind. All you know is that your are being moved from location to location and that you want to escape this hell.

Just like the sun rises every morning, a crash was heard upstairs from wherever you are. Claude breaking in to try and take you again, but what caught your eye was the unlocked door. A smile graced your features as you took no time in opening it. You should have known better, you really should have after months of being tossed around by these inhuman things. The second you set your foot outside, an arm wrapped itself around your middle. Your froze in your tracks, your fight or flight instincts kicking in. You propped your elbow up as high as you could in the minimal space you were traped in and brought it down hard in the person's stomach. A dry chuckle came from the, presumably male, behind you and you slumped. "Great choice dear." Was the last thing you heard before familiarly blacking out.

"Fuck you." You spat as the male you came to know as Undertaker seated you on one of the coffins. "Not now darling, I'm busy." He laughed as you scoffed. Your arms and legs were littered with bruises, your feet filled with cuts from all the struggling. He had no problem hurting you or 'putting you in your place' as he called it unlike the other abnormal beings. With no food or water your body eventually became too weak to even stand on your own. He gave you the necessities, but you refused them every time. Some days you caved and ate and drunk until you passed out, but most days you just made the reapers life hell. He did his normal procedure as he went to take your blood yet again. You looked down at the needle in your arm and at the lanky male holding you up. He looked back at you, giving his signature smile. You gave him a glare in return. He sighed and rolled his eyes as he focused on the bag with your bood slowly seeping in it. "They are furious that i took you, you know. I don't know how you do it dear, but you somehow pull us all in." You quirked an eyebrow at him. "Oh I am so lucky to have three psychopaths up my ass." He glared at you. "Language please." You rolled your eyes. "How does a lanky man like you even hold off two demons?" You questioned him as he ripped out the needle from your arm, making you winch slightly. "Don't underestimate me love. If I want something, I always get it-" His long fingers grazed your chin as sharp nails dug into your cheeks. You yelped as he made you face him a lurid expression on his face. "-and I won't let anyone take it from me." You gulped as he still held your face, your lips being puckered out from the sheer force he applied to your cheeks. Unbeknownst to you, two demons are tearing down the city in order to find you. And once they do, you better run as fast and as far as you can, because this time one of them will keep you in their hold forever.

Pride, Identity, and Advice (Dadbastian Days 1,2,5,6)

“Young Master, why are you up?”

The butler got used to everything the manor has to offer. The cracks on the stone walls, the plants that grow and overgrow like a human connection, the way the rain falls on the windows during the storms and gentle weather change, the many attackers who come by to try and ruin the manor in some way, the faces in and out of the doors often. But he was never used to seeing his Young Master, now in his teens, awake in the dead of night with a melancholy look on his face. Ciel glanced up to his butler in black as he stood by the rain-covered window of his bedchambers, a blanket barely wrapped over his shoulders like a cap as his bare feet were flat on the wooden flooring.

The sounds of sniffles and the sight of tears still linger a foreign thing to Sebastian even after so many years living among the mortals and humans, yet still now it creates cracks in his beating drum of an organ when seeing the tears on pale cheeks. What hurt his chest more was the sight of his master wiping his face in a hurry with blanket covered hands. “I’m just checking how bad the storm is. Goodnight Sebastian.” Ciel then hurries away before his butler could ask him any more questions on the night’s adventure.

“My my, you’ve grown to be quite a handsome young man My Lord.” “Why hello young man, are you here to pick up an order?” “You’re growing up to be a strong man, boy, you can get married soon.” “Such a kind boy, your future bride must be so lucky.”

All day was busy with the master and butler duo going around London for errands, getting mail, getting some new tea leaves of Ciel’s choosing, picking up some new seeds for the seasons’ changes, and finally a visit to Nina Hopkins’ shop to pick new clothes. Throughout the day, Sebastian kept looking at his little Lord and kept seeing this sunken and tired expression on his face, black gloved hands always clasping and rubbing against the material over his pale flesh.

As the two walk their way into the lovely tailor shop in town, the scent of candle light on oils and various fabrics filling their senses, they are imminently greeted by the woman in question who hurries over down the stairs to the two. “Good afternoon My Lord!” Cried Nina, brown eyes eager and glittering as the usual draw of amusement meets excitement. “Good afternoon Miss Hopkins. You seem excited.” Said Sebastian with a small smile, honestly enjoying the tailor’s passion for her profession ever since he helped the pair with costumes for their musical theater project they shared. They still aren’t quite there to be the friends he would say. Nina smiled wide and straightened her back in pride, “Of course!” She cheered, “I always love to work with the Earl! Measuring him and designing the most perfect outfits are pure excitement, especially since I’m here witnessing the glorious slot of time of when a boy becomes a man!” She practically squealed out the last part as she did a small dramatic spin of her heels, earning some amusement in Sebastian. The woman clapped her hands together when she turned to the small Lord with a beaming smile, “Now then, shall we take you recent measurements, My Lord?” She pauses when noticing Ciel is looking off to the side, speaking a touch louder now, “Ahem.” Ciel’s shoulders tense as he whirled his head to her and blinked rapidly, imminently collecting himself with an assuring smile, “O-Oh I apologize, yes we shall.”

As the two walked to the fitting room, Sebastian glanced to where his master could be looking at only to see the photos of wedding gowns Nina has made over the years.

Sebastian pondered as he sliced the lamb he has in front of him. His master just has been acting weird, it’s almost too questionable with the recent events. He’s used to the thought of “Oh humans are just different” but rarely has that come up due to thoughts of Ciel. Maybe it’s puberty? Could he perhaps be upset about something? Did he maybe have a fight with his twin? So many possibilities that he can’t quite pick and naw on properly.

A small squirt of meat snaps him out of his drowning thoughts, he glances down to the lamb meat before him. In a strange way, seeing the cut lamb reminded him a bit of his master… The pale skin bruised and bitten up as if eaten alive, The sad swollen eyes of misery staring at everyone blankly, The dark wool of hair on top his head with any signs of horns not yet peeking or perhaps cut off, The black coated hooves that ache and numb from many fights and giving ups.

The demon realizes at that thought he’s more so thinking of the night they met… When that Earl was this scared sad child filled with trauma and guilt of a thing he couldn’t have control over nor had the option of what would happen that week… That boy starved and hurting… Sebastian, over the many many years he’s been on this plane of life and death, is used to many forms of humanity being far more cruel than demons can ever be. He got used to those terrible actions on people, on children who people preach and pray should never be harmed in any way only to turn their back when the child needs help most. Yet, he never actually saw the effects of the aftermath of such slaughter and cruelty…

“The meat will spoil if you stare at it too long, Mr Sebastian.”

The butler’s head jerked up fast and hard, almost throwing him in a rough dizzy, and slowly a smile stretched on his lips as his red eyes showed a small twinkle of warmth. “I didn’t hear you enter, Mr Agni.” A bandaged hand touched the shoulder of the demon as the man in green stood beside him, gray eyes warm and softened like melting chocolates as he looked to his butler companion. “What is on your mind, my friend?” Asked him with a small head tilt. Sebastian sighed softly and began to move his hand about to care for the meat to prepare for dinner, his words sliding out easily like a flowing water fountain, “It is my Young Master. He has been acting differently than usual. Wandering the manor at night, growing sadder and sadder with each passing second, spacing out at the strangests of times. And yet I cannot at all figure out how to ease his worried heart and soul. Somehow this feels… far different than I am used to.” Agni listened calmly before giving a thought, “Perhaps you should have a conversation with him. He may be secretly yearning for someone to come talk to him about what is weighing his mind, as I have sensed with you Mr Sebastian.” Sebastian chuckled some, “You don’t need to be so formal with me, Mr Agni. I will take your advice nicely though, but I do fear he won’t answer honestly…” “He will. Your bond is far stronger than anything I have ever seen Sebastian, you both can easily sense when the other is needing care as proven so many times of you to him and him to you, like when you were required to rest of the ship incident.” The butlers look at each other and smile, small giggles exciting lips as they recall the leaving of such a “vacation” only to come back bloody and bruised and scary stories to come with.

Blond hair peeks out the door frame of the kitchen door as Baldroy looks in, his blue eyes scanning the area curiously. “What got you in a giggling mood?” “Oh, just…memories.”

Sebastian looked to his side, only to see it empty but still warm as if a body was there just a few seconds ago. A bitter coldness filled his chest as he took in a shaky breath and a calmer sigh out. He turned to the chef and smiled, “May I help you with something, Mr Baldroy?” Baldroy shook his head and sputtered, “I… was just wondering if I can help with anything…” “Well don’t just stand there, come on in, Mr Baldroy.”

The butler walked down the dark halls of the manor until he arrived at the bedchamber door of the Earl of Phantomhive. Quietly, he enters and sees the lad already dressed for bed and reading, albeit a slight mess much like his life during that damn circus case. “My Young Master, have you decided I am not needed to assist you?” Sebastian said in a joking manner, only to gain silence and avoided day clashing colored eyes back. 

With a sigh and sat at the foot of the bed and turned to the teen, dragging his tongue to lick his dry lips as he chose his words carefully. Finally, after mentally rereading his script of the conversation, he spoke out his query, “Young Master, I have noticed your behavior has been… odd as of late. Is something eating away at you?” Ciel turned away from him. “Don’t be silly, of course no–” “Young Master,” The master turned and looked at his butler, surprised by the sudden stern voice as if a father was scolding a child gently. “I swore to you I would never lie,” The butler continued, “And I would like you to be honest with me, just for tonight. I will rephrase my question; What is eating away at you?”

He took a mental notice of Ciel’s pale lips trembling some and how his hands tighten at the book in his hands. Finally, after what felt like weeks and months of waiting, the Earl sighed and actually settled in his spot on the bed though his eyes haven’t yet reached the older. 

“Have you… ever felt like you were… going crazy Sebastian?”

For the first time, the words threw the demon in confusion and curiosity.

“Excuse me, what do you mean, My Lord?” Ciel huffed, a weak smile cracked on his face, “Of course, what a silly question. You’re a demon after all, you don’t even know the true pain of insanity…” Sebastian took more mental notes as he examined his master’s emotionally weak state, “Do you feel that way, My Lord? That you’re in insanity?” The Earl paused, that’s when Sebastian became aware he hit the nail on the head. “My Lord,” Sebastian started, easing his voice in a soothing calming manner, but was interrupted by Ciel’s sudden emotional words, “Don’t say you understand what I feel! How could you possibly understand this… this… this insane emotional hurricane that bubbles under my skin? To understand the burning feeling of them still lingering? The blood that can never be seen or unwashed under my nails? You don’t! You don’t understand these thoughts that haunt me! Their voices that taunt me! Telling me I can’t feel angered by my past if my heart fluttered at someone of the same sex as me, or if I adore the strong will of a woman outside my line of sight… The constant thoughts and strangling pains when I hear the foul words of everyone around me, telling me how much of a man I should be… The most perfect English gentleman… That I need to wed to a woman or else I’m not lovable… Knowing if I refuse somehow I’ll… I’d…” 

As he watched his small shoulders raise and fall in soft wheezes, the butler in black thought hard of his words. Yes, what he said is true… He’ll never understand these feelings. The feelings society pushed into him that clashed terribly with such strong emotions. 

Sebastian reached out and placed a hand on the Earl’s head who, like a rabbit being pet, the smaller pushed into the palm seeking comfort. Wheezing breaths leaving pale yet bitten lips as paler cheeks are already staining with tears and emotional flush. “What’s wrong with me Sebastian…? I’m losing my mind… I must be… Having such thoughts and feelings–” The butler stopped his master’s words with stern yet gentle words of his own, “There is nothing wrong with you My Lord. The minds of society around you are wrong.” Sebastian carefully took the Lord’s face into his hands and wiped away the tears the best he could, heat breaking at that pained look on his small face, “They tell you since the day you were born what life you should have merely based off their own beliefs without knowing a thing about you and how you feel about them planing the play of life of you. If it were me, I would be more than eager to tell you if you want to kiss a boy, go for it. If you want to wear gowns, then just do it. If you want to scream at Christ and the Lord for not answering your eager prayers, I’ll scream with you in glee. No one should be entitled to tell you how you should feel… Not after I’ve seen how much you dug your own way out of Hell.”

The teen’s shaky breath was his only reply back. Not until their arms fell forward as the Earl’s head landed on Sebastian’s chest as he hiccups and sobs away. Sebastian, with even more ache against his chest, wrapped his arms carefully around the smaller figure, gloved hands rubbing soft circles around his head and back that shake and bob with each cry. “I’m very proud of you, My Lord, you should be proud of the person you grew to be…”

After that night of the Lord crying himself to sleep in the demon’s arms, Sebastian made quick work of making sure his master was comfortable and not stressed out about everything. He handled the stuff connected to the Funtom Company. He made sure the manor and estate were good and clean. He explained to the servants very simply and easy to understand that their master is feeling blue as of late and to politely refrain from calling him things like “Mister” or “Sir”  but not start calling him “Miss” or “Lady” as that’s not what the master wants either and treat him as they treated him prior. He made his master his favorite treats for the day. He called Nina and informed him of small changes of the wardrobe designs to fit more comfortably for his master’s true nature. He even contacted the Trancy Manor and Blavat, two places of people he despises, if the teens under their care can be so kind to visit for the day. After all, if he can’t ease the worries of his master after battling with his own identity and self worth due to society’s harsh rules and the trauma of his past, what kind of butler would he be?

Sebastian watched as the afternoon slowly shifted to night as his master, now dressed in an outfit that’s best fitted in the term of androgyny, enjoying a simple game of Old Maid with the blond Lord of Trancy and brunette circus performer of the stars. In a blink he sees the small child that stood before soiled with blood and ruins and tears, sunken sad eyes staring at him with no light to be seen. 

Blinking again, he sees the picture again now, seeing the light that not only fills the blue eye of his master, but around him.

The Sebastian Michaelis glare and Undertaker’s colour scheme

I’ve seen that glare before. That Sebastian Michaelis glare you have to pay attention to.

There’s a reason I think “Kuroshitsuji II” or the end of season 1 isn’t far off from the manga. Different players. Sure. But consider this. Ciel Phantomhive is challenged by someone his age. Someone with the same fate like his. Alois Trancy to Ciel’s older twin brother. From Claude Faustus (and Hannah Annafellows) to Undertaker. Against Sebastian. Ciel suffers more by losing everything. The opponents struggle to nullify Sebastian’s claim on Ciel’s soul ... maybe too simplistic to tell. But the instigator of Ciel’s murdered parents could be traced back to Queen Victoria. They can deny the existence of season 1 ending but everyone is speculating this.

The trouble with season 1 is that it made a series of preemptive moves. Revealing Undertaker’s real persona as a higher-up Shinigami and the legendary Death and suggesting his connection to the Phantomhives (episode 23: His Butler, Burning). Most of all, the existence of “bizarre dolls.”

Your words breathed out in disbelief. Although still in your attack position, you were caught off guard at what you had heard.

Your eyes narrowed at his carefree smile. “Why are you here? You have no reason to be mingling with demonkind.”

He sheepishly shrugged. “Well, actually, I originally came here many centuries ago to rid of the rogue angel, as I was ordered to. But then...something came up.”

He locked eyes with you. “A certain half-breed of a demon was spotted by the angel I was hunting. And at that point, my mission was changed.”

He didn’t notice when you gulped at the memory.

“See, Abigail, as cliché as this sounds, I was assigned to be a watcher over you, you know?”

When he took a step closer, you raised your hand, your pointer finger signaling him to stop at his own risk.

You licked your lips as you straightened up and lowered your hands. “Let me get this straight...you’re saying that you are supposed to be my ‘guardian angel’?”

A grin broke out on his face as he suppressed a laugh. “Oh, no. Nothing like that.” He crossed his arms behind his back. “Just a watcher. I was only allowed to ensure you stayed out of trouble and where you belonged.”

The laugh you let out made him pucker his lips. You side-eyed him and the smile you momentarily had dropped. 

“You’re my warden.”

He tilted his head back and forth and raised his eyebrows, confirming what you knew. “I guess you could say that.”

You sighed and outstretched your arms in a questioning manner. “If that’s true then why were you working with my king? Why did you come to me on the boat? Why should I even believe you?”

He rolled his eyes, growing annoyed with your many questions. “Look, I’m sure you want to know a lot of things. But for now, I think we have bigger problems to deal with. Trancy.”

You jerked your head back and scoffed. “We? Did you really expect to earn my trust just by telling me the truth? What we are up against is purely an enemy of my master, no one else.”

He loudly groaned and walked up to you. “Okay, you know what? You are way too suspicious for your own good. We need to hurry up and I told you the truth because I need your help!”

As he brushed by you, you suddenly grabbed his arm. He looked back at you and his eyebrows drew together.

Your eyes suddenly felt heavy, your skin feeling as if it was on fire. You began to gag as the familiar sensation of your blood boiling came over you.

“Abigail?”

When you glanced down at where you felt it originating, you spotted a small arrow in your shin. Hurriedly, you reached down and pulled it out. When you sniffed the end, your heart dropped.

“Dead man’s blood…”

His eyes widened when you collapsed, but he still managed to catch you.

“Abigail? Abigail!”

Your vision grew blurry as you managed to make out a person behind him. Within a few seconds, he was kicked to the ground and you thought you saw a woman standing over him, placing what looked like handcuffs on him.

And then the ringing in your ears drowned out everything else, and your eyelids slowly closed to blackness.

“Abigail! Wake up!”

The moment the sound of his whispered voice hit your ears, your eyes snapped open. He sat beside you, chains around his ankles as a pair of cuffs were around his wrists. They had strange markings on them, in a language you had never seen before.

Your face was cold to the touch due to it being against a steel metal beam connecting the roof and the floor. Your entire body was still on fire but you could tell the blood wasn’t gonna keep you weakened for much longer.

He sighed when he saw your eyes met his. “Well, glad you could join us finally. Did you have a nice nap?”

You narrowed your eyes, choosing to ignore his sarcasm. “Us?”

An amused smile spread on his face as he nodded his head in your direction, his eyes landing on something behind you.

You twisted your neck to look and when you saw the image of the prisoner you had identified not too long ago, still wearing the bag over her head, you seethed through your teeth.

“Oh, how perfect. She’s here.”

But after a few seconds of looking at her, a thought crossed your mind. “Hold on, they said they were taking her to the room the device was in. If she’s here, then where is it?”

He puckered his lips and glanced around. As he did, you focused your attention on the very heavy chains keeping you in place.

You were bound differently from them, for you had a leg chain so long that it was wound all around your body, and two rings on your neck, one attached to the chain, the other to what you believe they call a "keep-friend" or "friend's foot," from which hung two irons reaching to your waist with two manacles fixed to them in which your hands were secured by a big padlock so that you could neither raise your hands to your mouth nor lower your head to your hands.

“This seems a bit excessive…”

You eyed his own restraints and scoffed. “You can’t seriously tell me those handcuffs are keeping you in place?”

He exhaled through his nose and looked back at you. “Not only do they hold me here, but they drain my super impressive archangel powers as well.”

Your nose scrunched up. “How troublesome. What is that written on them? I’m not familiar with it.”

He forced a smile as he raised his hands. “Enochian. They’re specifically designed to keep archangel’s locked tight. I had heard Trancy got a hold of them somehow and that is the only reason I’m even here. Our deal was he’d give them to me so I could add it to my collection if I handed over my instrument.”

You have a short chuckle. “Well, I guess this means your deal is off then?”

He dropped his hands as he clenched his jaw. “I guess so…”

“You’re very chatty, aren’t you?”

The two of you immediately moved your attention to the woman that had entered, wearing a revealing black gown. You tilted your head in confusion. She looked extremely familiar, but you couldn’t put your finger on it.

“My master ordered me to subdue the two of you. He wasn’t very pleased with you talking to our enemy, I’m afraid.”

Uriel rolled his eyes at her. But the more she talked, it finally clicked who she was. The maid. “That’s strange...I thought I saw you bump into me earlier...your outfit is hardly appropriate for your position.”

She raised an eyebrow. “You are certainly one to talk.”

You glanced down, remembering you were still in Lau’s ridiculous monstrosity of an outfit. “Oh. Right.” 

Your head shot up at her when she turned towards the back of the room. “Hold on, you’re the only maid in this estate. If that wasn’t you earlier than who…”

Slowly, your eyes enlarged. “Oh no...Ciel!”

”Good show, you’re all exceptionally skilled.”

Sebastian mockingly smiled down at the three identical servants that had attempted to decapitate him just moments ago. They stared up at him, jaws dropped when he jumped down from the tree he had been in, and ran passed them.

Ciel, who was in Sebastian’s arms, was holding on for dear life as Sebastian charged full speed ahead toward where Claude and Alois stood not too far away. One of the servants swung a blade at his head, which he easily avoided. 

As he continued to run, he stared down at Ciel. He muttered to himself as he thought back to a few weeks before when you and he escaped the Trancy manor with Ciel’s body in a briefcase. 

“It was like carrying a doll...running virtually unburdened.”

Ciel’s head moved up at Sebastian, as he caught what he had said. “Did you say something?”

Sebastian only smiled and looked away from him as he ran, a hint of laughter coming through his words. “Only that it would be far, far easier to carry you if you were in some sort of container, like a trunk, I’d say.”

Ciel’s eyebrows furrowed. “Is this any time to be joking?”

His laughter ceased instantly. “My apologies, master.”

His eyes locked onto Alois and Claude, who stood with his arm out in front of his master, protecting him. Alois watched in absolute joy as Sebastian spun around in front of them, his foot kicking the bangs in front of Claude’s face before he did a backflip over them, landing on the other side and continuing to run.

Ciel noticed the smirk of triumph on Sebastian’s face as he ran. “Sebastian, we need to get the guests out of there. What Trancy said has me worried. We must hurry and get to them.”

Sebastian only chuckled at him. “I wouldn’t worry much, sir. The servants are capable enough to handle whatever is thrown at them.”

He didn’t really believe that, though. He was truly only thinking about you as he said it.

Ciel only glanced down as his grip on Sebastian’s coat tightened. 

“It’s not those three that I’m worried about...we need to get both Elizabeth and Isabella out of there, they aren’t skilled enough to handle this. Their safety is the top priority.”

Sebastian glanced at him from the corner of his eye. “Isabella? She’s only a servant, master. I’m not sure that she’s worth your worry.”

Ciel nearly slapped him with his glare. “You may not understand it, but she is important. A human to you, but family to me.”

Sebastian began to slow down, his eyes narrowing at Ciel. 

“If you say so, master.”

Uriel sighed as he watched you attempt to stand up, only resulting in you falling on your side for the 50th time.

“Honestly Abigail, this is getting old. You aren’t going anywhere whether you like it or not.”

You growled at him as you managed to sit up. “Well, it would be nice if you’d help out a bit. And stop calling me that damn name!”

Your sight landing on the maid as she walked over to the nun with the bag over her head. She smirked at you before removing the bag.

The moment the girl’s eyes adjusted to the poorly lit room, her eyes landed on you. She froze in an instant, her eyes growing bigger. And not even a few seconds later, she let out a blood-curdling scream and scooted her feet to back away from your direction. Only, it was muffled by the rag in her mouth.

Your eyes never left her figure, only making her more afraid as tears pricked her eyes. The maid reached over and removed the gag from her mouth, but not before giving her a slap across the face, silently warning her to not make another sound. 

Her lips quivered as she never let you leave her sight. “You...you’re the monster that tried to kill me!”

Your lips pursed together, making a duck face. “Actually, I’m a demon. Kind of. I don’t even know anymore to be honest. But you don’t gotta be so loud about it.”

She pointed a finger at you, her face in pure shock. “You are...a d...demon? They exist?”

You waved your bound hand back and forth. “Unfortunately, yeah.”

Her eyes moved on Uriel, who had been intently watching your back and forth. “Then are you one as well?!”

He raised his cuffed hands, shrugging. “Angel, actually. Or archangel to be exact.”

Her eyes widened in admiration. “An archangel? Oh my...it is an honor to grace your presence, soldier of the Lord.”

He made a face of exasperation. “Yes, yes. You’re welcome. I know, I’m amazing.”

He yelped when you kicked him with your feet before shooting you a glare. You focused back on the girl. 

“Oh, and I hate to break it to you, but the man that, uh, massaged you, he’s a demon too. And my mate. So keep that in mind if you ever think about him again. Cause It’ll probably be the last thing you ever think. Cause then I’ll kill you. Just warning you now.”

She loudly gasped and sat up on her knees. “He is?! So you’re saying I...I laid with a demon?!”

You rested your forehead against the metal beam again. “Well, technically, I guess. If that’s what you call massaging you, then yeah.”

She cocked her head, a deep blush coming on her cheeks. “Massage? That wasn’t like any massage I’d ever had then…”

Your eyes slowly moved to her, your head coming off the beam as you leaned in her direction. “Watch what you say. You’re lucky you got even as much as a massage before I killed you.”

She gulped, holding her hands up in defense. “I didn’t mean any ill intent, your demon-ness. It’s just that he didn’t ‘just’ massage me…”

Your back straightened up as your words spat with venom. “What are you on about, slut? Spit it out, I know you wanna say something.”

She looked at you in fear as well as curiosity. “I don’t know why you’re so into it, but…”

“He didn’t just massage me. We fornicated. He penetrated me.”

Uriel’s eyebrows shot up, a grimace coming onto his face. “Oh boy. This isn’t gonna go well.”

Her heart began to beat faster as she caught your stare. Your eyes had completely darkened over, all light draining from them. 

You felt your body begin to shake uncontrollably with anger, tears pricking your eyes at what you had just heard. 

Uriel looked at you, growing fearful of what you might do. “Abigail?”

Your jaw tightened as tears finally spilled over, falling down your cheek.

“He...cheated on me?”

Your nostrils flared as your eyes changed color to their terrifying blackish-blue.

“And he lied to me about it?”

Uriel sighed at the frightened face of the nun and scooted closer to you. “Hey. You need to get a hold of yourself. We have more important things to worry about.”

“Are you all done with your melodramatic moment?”

Your inhuman eyes snapped to the maid, who was still in the room, watching all of you. You immediately sat up once you noticed another person beside her, his body encased in a black bag.

Uriel noticed it as well. “Oh, great. Another hostage? Aren’t you getting a little overboard with it?”

She only smiled at him as she tossed the bag on the ground in front of you. It let out a whimper as it hit the ground.

Its head moved around a bit until a small hole broke out through the material. It thrashed around until it completely turned around and you saw a head poke out. It was a man.

The man completely ripped the bag apart and his full body emerged from it. And it made the nun’s face heat up. Because the man was naked.

At this point, your tears had dried up and your eyes returned to normal. Your eyebrows drew together in confusion.

“Pluto?”
