Tuesday
@legendary-guest had a brilliant idea about Drakken using tools from his lab when cooking or eating and I immediately had to write this! Go check out her corresponding artwork when you're done reading!
Midnight Writes: #1
Unrelated but happy 100th drakgo fic to me!
“It was a Tuesday and I had made my normal chicken lo mein and I couldn’t find any chopsticks, so I grabbed two of my screwdrivers, and used those instead. After a few bites, I felt a little strange. Hot, and shaky. Sure I was getting the flu I called… Samuels, I think, was my primary henchman at the time…? And had him shut down my takeover-the-world plans for the week. Nobody needs sick henchmen, trust me! They’re a pathetic breed.
Samuels and some other henchmen stole my plans and attempted to enact them without me, to take the world for themselves. That’s how I learned about Kim Possible, but that’s a story for a different day. Well, actually, you already know that story, don’t you? It was you Samuels defected to.
Anyhow, I went to take a shower since I’d gotten so feverish I was sweating and I noticed my fingertips were turning blue! I kept turning the water hotter trying to warm them up, which was peculiar because other than feeling like I was sick I didn’t feel particularly cold.
After giving myself mild burns in the shower I recalled being six and getting food poisoning! My mother really shouldn’t be allowed near pork chops…. Well, I’d gotten so sick then that I kept having hallucinations. I never could handle the sensation of bugs crawling on my skin again after that! I chalked it up to the same thing. I’d been rushing, and likely undercooked the chicken!
It took forty-eight or so hours for me to sleep off the food poisoning, and when I finally was stable enough I realized I had turned blue. But, well, it completed the look. It was a shame, too. It made my old red labcoats look delightfully menacing, though I know you know that, with how fast you stole the color after I switched. But Shego came along and was adamant that she didn’t want us walking around looking like ‘rejected elves trying to steal Christmas’ so blue it was! Good thing I look stunning in all colors, right, Dementor?
I don’t know what I put in that lo mein…. I probably swapped the salt with something from the lab again.
Can you believe Shego tries to say it was because I used those screwdrivers to eat? ‘You were working with radioactive explosives that very day!’
Psh! She thinks I didn’t sterilize them before eating with them! Ha! Everyone knows fire cleans everything.
But yes, that’s the story! I turned blue from food poisoning.”

Compare/Contrast of Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron And Doctor Drakken and Shego
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok. Here I’ll be doing a compare/contrast between Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron and Doctor Drakken and Shego. It occurred to me that those 2 duos have quite a bit in common but are also a bit different. Also, Spoiler Alert for the DuckTales (2017) TV series and the Kim Possible TV series. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both duos have a member who is constantly annoyed with how over-the-top the other member is. In the case of Bradford and Black Heron, there was Bradford who was annoyed with how over-the-top Black Heron was as shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’ where Bradford got frustrated with Black Heron’s showboating since he believed it would cost them the Papyrus Of Binding. And in the case of Doctor Drakken and Shego, there was Shego who was annoyed with how over-the-top Drakken was as shown in the episode ‘Crush’ where Shego tried to stop Drakken from telling Kim Possible his plan and also said to him that: “Yeah. All I know is every time you stop to blab about your big plan, she wins.” The difference between Bradford and Shego here, though, is how exactly they tried to put up with it. As shown in the episode ‘Double-O-Duck In You Only Crash Twice!’, Bradford gave Black Heron a stern lecture about the mess he had to clean up after her and how they needed to be smarter in order to beat Scrooge McDuck. And as shown in the episode ‘Go Team Go’, Shego was being sassy with Drakken by focusing on her magazine while he was explaining one of his evil schemes. So, Bradford was being stern with Black Heron whereas Shego was being sassy with Doctor Drakken. Another similarity between Bradford and Shego is that they both once part of a heroic group. As also shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Bradford was once part of a heroic organization called SHUSH. And as shown in the episode ‘Go Team Go’, Shego was once part of a superhero team called Team Go. The difference between Bradford and Shego here, though, is why they left those heroic groups in the first place. As also shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Bradford left SHUSH because he believed that they wouldn’t do what it takes to bring about order. And as also shown in the episode ‘Go Team Go’, Shego left Team Go because she wanted to be evil. So, Bradford wanted to bring about order whereas Shego wanted to bring about evil. Also, since I was on the topic of how over-the-top Black Heron and Doctor Drakken were earlier…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both duos have a member who is pretty over-the-top when it comes to being supervillains. As shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Black Heron mentioned she tried to carve her face into Mt. Neverrest saying that it would have been an improvement and she let out an evil laugh immediately thereafter. And as shown in the episode ‘Rappin’ Drakken’, Doctor Drakken dressed up as a rapper and sang a rap song to try to sell his mind controlling shampoo. The difference between Black Heron and Doctor Drakken here, though, is whether or not they can be cold and ruthless despite their over-the-top attitudes. As shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure Part 2: The Lost Library Of Isabella Finch!’, when June (who was actually Webby in disguise unbeknownst to Black Heron) called Webby her sister, Black Heron replied with, “You have no sister, dear. You are my experiment.” And as shown in the episode ‘Car Trouble’, Drakken found himself dancing a little with Doctor Freeman even though Drakken was there to kidnap him. So, Black Heron is cold and ruthless despite her over-the-top attitude whereas Doctor Drakken admittedly isn’t.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both duos had disagreements based on how good one member of their duo was at being supervillains. As shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure Part 3: Tale’s End…’, Black Heron said to Bradford that she knew she’d make a villain of him much to Bradford’s annoyance. And as shown in the episode ‘Car Trouble’, Shego taunted Drakken for not being able to handle Doctor Freeman’s kitchen machine AI’s. The difference between them there, though, is how their disagreements center around them being good supervillains. As shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, when Black Heron gleefully said that they’re supervillains, Bradford replied with, “No! We are not!” And as also shown in the episode ‘Car Trouble’, after she shut off Doctor Freeman’s kitchen machine AI’s that were overwhelming Drakken, Shego said to Drakken, “Y’know, for someone who’s supposedly a mad genius, I’m not seeing much of the ‘genius’.” So, Bradford’s and Black Heron’s disagreement centers around whether Bradford is a supervillain whereas Drakken’s and Shego’s disagreement centers around Drakken’s competence when it comes to being a supervillain. Another similarity between them there is that both duos’ disagreements eventually came to a head. As shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure Part 3: Tale’s End…’, Bradford betrayed Black Heron and sent her plummeting to her death. And as shown in the episode ‘Bad Boy’, Shego ditched Drakken in favor of the then-turned-evil Ron Stoppable before going back to Drakken’s side. The difference between them here, though, is how Black Heron and Drakken respectively reacted to their partners’ betrayals. As also shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure Part 3: Tale’s End…’, as she was plummeting to her death, Black Heron smiled at Bradford and said to him, “Oh, Bradford. How villainous.” And as also shown in the episode ‘Bad Boy’, Drakken was mad at Shego for ditching him. So, Black Heron was delighted with Bradford’s betrayal since it showed how villainous he is whereas Doctor Drakken was mad at Shego for her betrayal since she ditched him for another villain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the case of both duos, Bradford and Drakken respectively finally made Black Heron and Shego respectively proud of them. As shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure Part 3: Tale’s End…’ and as I pointed out in my previous point, Black Heron proudly said to Bradford, “I knew I’d make a villain of you.” And as shown in the episode ‘Graduation Part 2’, Shego supported Drakken during his reward ceremony. The difference between them here, though, is how exactly things went down between after that. As also shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure Part 3: Tale’s End…’ and as I also pointed out in my previous point, Bradford sent Black Heron plummeting to her death and just as she was about to meet her demise, Black Heron smiled at Bradford and said to him, “Oh, Bradford. How villainous.” And as shown in the episode ‘Graduation Part 2’, a flower wrapped around Drakken and Shego as they smiled at each other thus implying they were in love with each other. So, things took a darker and more twisted turn in Bradford’s and Black Heron’s case whereas things took a lighter and happier turn in Drakken’s and Shego’s case.
Well, that’s all for this post.
See you all next time.

TBT...8 years ago my voice was used as Dr. Drakken and Kim Possible's Dad, Dr. P in this video Mission: Mistletoe. The video was produced by Project Possible. Justin (the channel this video is on) played Ron. This was the Christmas episode we did. Sadly, not too long after this was posted Project Possible disbanded and reformed into The Possible Missions. What a fun few years it was.

Sha-la-la-la-la-la
My, oh my, looks like the boy's too shy
Ain't gonna kiss the girl...
Ashley Tisdale's 'Kiss the girl' shuffled in my spotify player and just... I imagined Drakken trying to propose to Shego in a calm secluded part in the park and then all of a sudden, he gets nervous. Slight panic causes a trigger signal to his plant mutations to act out and try instilling some subtle courage into him.

A scene:
Drakken is still working at his desk, his eyes now have not only his patented grunge smudge (which is cool 😤), but also dark bags under them. He knows it is late, he knows it's time for bed. But he stubbornly continues.
And then Shego walks in to see where her boy... Boss is in that late hour. Bed gotten cold without him and she wanted to snuggle, but no one needs to know that shhhh
- Doctor D? You know what time is it?
Drakken, without missing a bit (which is surprising considering how often he gets startled by her) and continuing his work at the same time said:
- Late one
Shego, slightly perplexed by unfazed and flat tone:
- .... Are you going to bed?
- I want to. But I can't
- .... Why?
Drakken turned around in his chair and now facing her. His eyes are blinking slowly ... unsynchronized:
- I simply cannot be stopped.
To which Shego facepalmed, grabbed her lover by the hand and dragged him to their bedroom. Drakken, of course, didn't resist, as he actually was sleep-working.

Aquarium
Aquarium: "A place for the public exhibition of live aquatic animals and plants"
(Drakgo Drabble #27)
Shego watched nervously as Drakken swung his feet above the shark-infested moat. No matter how many times he insisted they weren’t actually dangerous she preferred to maintain a healthy distance. She maintained that same distance with the rest of “Drakken's Evil Aquarium” (an actual sign in the lair she’d taken down more than once).
Some caution with most wild animals, she thought, was reasonable. Her nerves around Drakken were less so — even despite the kiss they hadn’t discussed.
“We need lionfish!” he exclaimed, ignorant to her inner turmoil. “Want to rob an aquarium tonight?”
She grinned back. “It’s a date.”

Profiles in Villainy
Doctor Drakken
A self-proclaimed mad scientist, Drew Theodore P. Lipsky, also known as ‘Dr. Drakken,’ is a brilliant inventor and engineer who dreams of world conquest.  He had once been a prized pupil at a prestigious learning academy, yet an embarrassment with a failed experiment resulted in his dropping out, taking on the new name of ‘Drakken’ and dedicating himself to super villainy.  At some point along the way, Drakken’s skin was turned a ghostly shade of blue.  How this came about has never been fully explained.
Although a genius, Drakken’s impulsiveness and delusions of grander have often proved his undoing.  These shortcomings are frequently tempered by Drakken’s loyal lieutenant and bodyguard, Shego.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nonetheless, the villain’s numerous evil schemes have been foiled time and again by the intrepid super secret agent, Kim Possible, along with her partner/sidekick, Ron Stoppable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After near countless evil plots, Drakken found himself having to team up with Kim Possible so to put an end to the global threat posed by the alien Warmonga.  Drakken’s aide proved invaluable and, though he was never able to conquer the earth, he was successful in saving it.
In the aftermath, Drakken and Shego were both issued presidential pardons, nullifying their past criminal records.  Whether or not Dr. Drakken will return to the path of villainy remains to be seen.
The indomitable John DiMaggio provided the voice for Dr. Darken, with the villain first appearing in the premier episode of Kim Possible, airing on June 14th, 2002.

My secret crack pairing is Motor Ed/DNAmy.
Amy already has great taste in men, there's nothing that needs to be altered on her end to get her to find him attractive. Well, what about Ed?
It's her chassis. It's huge. Her assets. You know. She's so forward, too, it really doesn't take a lot from him to get her to go along with things.
I imagine a first encounter would induce such extreme second-hand embarrassment to anyone who happens to be around them. Here is one version.
Who approaches whom - Ed. He's busy 'window shopping' in that café in Graduation, since he attended the ceremony. He needs a pick-me-up after seeing Green and cousin Drew practically hook-up on stage. Yeah, yeah, more fish in the sea but, ugh, where's he gonna find another babe like that? She fought him with that green magic and had long, beautiful black hair and her bo - Whoa.
He spots her.
Seriously. She's not a 10, but she's enough - actually, more than enough - a rejection is unlikely. He's played this game before.
One of two things could happen - she reciprocates his advances, or she turns him down. Turning him down would mean that Motor Ed would, potentially, have to compete for her attentions with the petrified corpse of a genetically altered British man obsessed with monkeys. This is insanely funny, and would be awesome. The girl he really wants is with his cousin with a receding hairline, and being rejected by a woman he is settling for could hurt his ego enough, incense him enough to really, truly pursue her. Besides, what does that - what - thing have that he doesn't? He's tall, he's tan, he's smart, he's handsome, he has an awesome mullet. What, she likes hairy guys? He's a hairy guy! Just take a look, seriously.
Option two is she reciprocates. Now, she may be committed to pursuing Monty, committed to him emotionally, but now that she's got him...what's one more? After all, after she completed her collection of Cuddle Buddies, she felt the need to make her own! She openly flirts with Mr. Barkin and even lead on Dr. Drakken. There's no way this woman doesn't go astray every now and again (frequently). He's cute, sure, but is he smart? O, he's a mechanical engineer - maybe she has heard of him - best in the country! She's a geneticist, she says, which leads into Ed using a rather awful pick-up line about not having taken biology in forever and needing a tutor.
O, doctor, it would be my pleasure. Ending the sentence with a girlish giggle and a punch to his arm. The punch doesn't hurt, but she's got some strength to her! He makes a comment about how he likes a girl that can scrap - then she really comes on to him, hand on his chest, eyes half-lidded. She tells him, in as many words, she can be real bad if that's what he really likes.
Ed likes where this is going. Really, really likes where this is going. Seriously.
It's clear that this conversation needs a change of scenery. Before they run off, she mentions that they can't leave behind Monty. Who? O, this thing. He decides to show off, picks up Monkey Fist's statue in one easy gesture it's built weird, he thinks, and sure, it's on the heavier side of things he can lift for extended periods of time, but he's got that adrenaline in him right now and she's looking up at him in awe, in surprise, and then...well, they gotta get going!

Mad Angry, Mad Crazy
9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?
LOL @legendary-guest is that you?? You usually ask off anon though, haha.
(Ask is from this lovely list.)
Okay, so... Only one person knows about this I think but there was in fact...a darker version of this fic. (Some spoilers ahead if you've not read that fic yet, so maybe stop here if you don't want any. It's a dark fic, FYI.)
The majority of changes began in the chapter where Drakken finds Shego on the beach. Originally she's much more paranoid, much more frightened, and far weaker, physically. The fainting situation is more dire... And the hospital visit is FAR more dire. Drakken isn't present as much for the exam/questioning, and Shego is far more dissociated from reality... Unable to process and answer some of the questions due to her own paranoid and fearful thoughts demanding her full attention. It was much more strongly implied that the examining doctor suspected Drakken of various abuses against her. Drakken's part in the exam was different as a result, the questions being more blunt and the doctor more angry, when he was later present. It seemed pretty clear by the end of that scene that Shego was mentally unfit to make decisions for herself. That chapter was going to end with her practically being coerced into admitting herself to a psych ward. Which then would have set off another dozen chapters that were only partially planned in my head, but never written. Oh, and the water rescue scene before the time-skip was darker as well, with Drakken being less obviously there to help her and Shego being far more afraid of him/his actions, to the point of almost not accepting rescue; I kept his motivations and his thoughts far more obscure in that scene.
Why did I soften the entire thing and not go the darker route? A friend/beta advised me that it was too dark, and that the entire story felt anti-shippy. And in fact it was this very fic that caused that person to stop reading fics other than their own, except for rare exceptions.
Heh, and the published fic as it is today apparently is still so dark it caused people to form a chat "support group" to deal with how severely the fic impacted them, and nearly every person in that group couldn't even finish reading it, it was that bad. I'm glad the story has a couple of strong fans to reassure me of its worth.
No, the darker version doesn't exist anymore. Rather than save it as a separate file I just deleted and rewrote to severely soften the whole thing from the water rescue onward. And I do mean severely...
I have regrets... I wish I'd saved the darker version. It was the best version of psychosis I've ever written and I wish I had it to study now, for other projects. I don't regret how the story ended; it would have always ended there, even if it had gone through another dozen chapters of anguish on both characters' parts... The journey to get to the end just would have been a lot different and more arduous. And I do regret that this story caused someone to stop reading fanfic.
But I'll never regret what I published. I love writing angst, I love writing suspense. I love writing for that episode because it's what got me thinking about shipping Drakken and Shego in the first place, and I love the finished product.
Thank you truly, anon, for this ask.
