Marty wasn’t buying it. “Who else is planting time-ending time bombs across the continuum?”

“That would be me.”

Doc entered – a version of Doc with brass goggles on his head and a logo on his lab coat.

“3P Laboratories?” Marty asked.

No Pines Marty sucked in a breath.

“Fuck.”

“What?”

fact: doc has a saxophone in his garage in both 1955 and 1985, with seemingly no ties to his scientific pursuits. hypothesis: theres some sentimental reason, maybe he played (plays?) it as a hobby since and/or prior to 1955...? conclusion: they def had at least one jam session

On Sunday morning, Doc stood at his bedroom window watching yellow seep into the sky along the horizon. He turned the key to his time machine in his hand, then touched his bruised forehead.

This is ludicrous.

He crept down the hall to his childhood bedroom.

Marty was sound asleep, twisted strangely atop the blankets as he snored.

Doc blinked. 

He shut the door, exhaled through rounded lips, and squeezed the key in his fist.

Ludicrous or not, it’s happening.

Doc brought his finger to his lips as Copernicus rounded the corner.

“How about we make our guest some breakfast?”

day 5: alarm clock

Marty knew he was late the second he opened his eyes.

He quickly shot up, threw his blanket aside, and rushed to the bathroom to wash his face. After that, he ran back into his room, pulled on his jeans and changed his shirt, grabbed his watch, his backpack, and made his way to the kitchen to grab some breakfast.

“Damn alarm clock!”, he muttered under his breath. Why didn’t it ring?!

Something was off. No one was home, no one to hurry him to school.

Marty could slap himself. McFly, you idiot.

His graduation had been three days ago.
