Hi there, and welcome to a new ✨experiment✨ of a blog! I'm Carnivalization Cosplay, aka Christy (she/her), and I'm a cosplayer! Obviously! Here are costumes and props I've all made from scratch! I love focusing on the craft of cosplay and sharing things that I learn, so I've returned to Tumblr to try and better document my builds in a more blog-like format. There just aren't any other social media sites that are well-suited to content where you actually talk about what you're doing and why (save for Dreamwidth, the real one), so I'm giving this a shot for the rest of my builds this year. This year, I'll be building:
Barbarian Tav (Baldur's Gate 3)
Jaheira (Baldur's Gate 3)
Cassia Orsellio (Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader)
and whatever else I might have time for...! You can expect posting about every step of the process of creating these costumes, so if that sounds up your alley, hope you enjoy it! And always feel free to send asks if you have questions. I'm happy to talk shop, send recommendations, etc.! Photo Credits 📸

Photoshoot of my Lohse cosplay from the steampunk festival this weekend! I have a lot more to work on for it so this is version 1, but it was fun to faff about as a bard for the day ✨

I am once again pleading bg3 players to play Divinity Original Sin 2, another larian studios game, because it’s very similar and so enjoyable. You can find a lot of commonalities in characters between the two games.
I played dos2 to pregame baldurs gate because I wasn’t used to the turn based combat system, and I was much more prepared for it. Larian Studios is not a one hit wonder, and when I have the funds I plan on playing the other games they’ve made. They also have a dos2 website and digital art book/ character sheets/ cosplay guides that’s worth checking out
Also, dos2 explores the crafting/ combining mechanic WAY more, and I honestly wished Larian had kept more crafting in bg3.
Oh also, Amelia Tyler, the narrator for baldurs gate 3, plays a really great character in divinity original sin 2

Rating My Obsessions/Hyperfixiations:
(Going to try going oldest to newest but it might not go so well bc #traumablocking)
2019/2020 (can’t remember):
My Hero Academia: 1/10 (it gets one point for being my first ever hyperfixiation, but I was a foul human being during this time of my life)
The Chronicles of Vladimir Todd/Vampires: 7/10 (I’m sure if I went back and read these books now, they would be subpar and honestly childish, but at the time, I loved them with every fiber of my being, and the memories associated are good so..)
Death Note: 1/10 (Ew I’m foul. I’m a foul creature. I deserve to be put down.)
Dr. Stone: 4/10 (I honestly remember jack about this show but it gets a 4 for being anime.)
Undertale: 5/10 (This game made me happy for awhile, but it was introduced to me by an ex best friend, so it’s getting a solid 5.)
Detroit Become Human: 6/10 (Minus points because of the time of my life this was during, but this game is an absolute masterpiece <3)
Hellsing: 5/10 (The obsession was unhealthy, but this one was pretty great too. Now, it’s sort of a sore spot, but at the time I was living the dream.)
BATIM: 9/10 (This hyperfixiation is honestly older that what I’m giving it credit for, but it’s going here because I don’t have a category for before 2019. Anyway it’s pretty great. It came back in summer of 2023 when I finally watched Dark Revival, which I liked better than the original <3)
FNaF: 8/10 (High score because this is one of the only hyperfixiations that has lasted so many years and can still bring me joy. It’s also older than I’m giving it credit for. Now, Was I cringe about it at some point? Definitely. Do I care? No.)
DSAF: 10/10 (I might be jumping the gun by giving this one my first 10, but I absolutely love this game. It’s only ever brought me joy, to this day I still love it, I based so many of my usernames and characters on it..and just ugh, I love it Fr.)
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: 7/10 (Admittedly, I haven’t stayed that up to date on it, but I love this anime. It doesn’t have that many bad memories and it’s just, great.)
Dialtown: 8/10 (In the same boat as DSAF but it didn’t bring me AS much joy. I still love it though and honestly I need to finish it.)
Hamilton: 5/10 (At the time, again, I loved it, but now it’s honestly one of my least favorite musicals.)
Borderlands: 7/10 (oh god to experience this game again for the first time would truly be a beautiful experience. Although I was cringe with it for awhile and this wasn’t exactly the happiest time of my life when I enjoyed this..so..)
LA Noire: 8/10 (I honestly loved this game, it was a big turning point in me and my brother’s relationship, and I remember staying up late on countless nights playing or watching him play it.)
Curses Cosplay/The Acklam Ashes: 9/10 (This creator doesn’t make content like this anymore, no hate at all they have their reasons and I still love them, but this YouTube show was a pivotal point of my life and I love it so.)
2021:
Creepypasta: 2/10 (Low score just for the sake of the fandom, and the fact of who I was associated with during this period of time.)
Marble Hornets: 6/10 (Was I cringe? Yes. Absolutely. But this show is so amazing I’m willing to put that aside. I’m also rating this separately from creepypasta for obvious reasons.)
WitchCraft: 5/10 (I had a whole witchy thing for awhile? It was mostly just tarot cards and shirts with the phases of the moon on them.)
DND/Divinity Original Sin: 10/10 (I have zero bad memories with either of these. My love for fantasy and DnD was awakened by playing Divinity Original Sin 2 with my older brother, and then that stemmed into more love for fantasy and the genre in general.)
SCP: 8/10 (This hyperfixiation is somewhat still alive? Not really, but I do still enjoy some occasional SCP content. It’s not a higher score because this was 8th grade year and that’s embarrassing.)
The Glass Animals: 9/10 (Less of a hyperfixiation, more of just, man they made some banger music.)
Elvis: 6/10 (Literally what was wrong with me. For awhile I only listened to music from this era, especially Elvis, and forced my family to buy me a bunch of Elvis merch I didn’t need.)
Noir: 6/10 (Okay so, this stemmed from the above mentioned LA Noire earlier and basically was a time period of my life where I was obsessed with watching old detective/murder mystery movies from the 20s. Honestly, they were bangers. But also, wtf was I doing.)
Tv Heads?: 5/10 (I had a weird thing for robot TV heads for awhile? It’s hard to explain honestly.)
Queen: 7/10 (Another one of those weird band obsessions I guess. This one was definitely bigger than the glass animals.)
2022:
Good Omens: 10/10 (Absolutely love. Loved it then and I still love it to this day!! Holding out for season 3 Fr 💪)
Clover: 7/10 (not many people know what this is, so for context it’s an electroswing album by OR3O. I loved it at the time but it doesn’t hit as hard now.)
Phantom of the Opera: 10/10 (Another 10. This wasn’t technically the first musical I ever watched, but, it was the start of my love for musicals and broadway. And it’s just a great musical Fr.)
Ghostbusters: 7/10 (If you asked me why I suddenly had a ghostbuster hyperfixiation during this time, I couldn’t tell you. But they are iconic movies so…)
The Steve Saga: 8/10 (I had watched FavremySabre several years before, but never this series. Anyway I loved it, still love it.)
Supernatural: 7/10 (A bit of a lower score because I was cringe, and my obsession with Castiel was unhealthy. Not to mention Supernatural isn’t exactly the best show on Netflix? It got dull later on, but..did I watch it start to finish anyway? Yeah. Absolutely.)
Twisted Rainbow: 10/10 (FavremySabre Masterpiece.)
Doctor Who: 6/10 (Two words. Season 13.)
Ghost: 6/10 (Low Score because I can’t stand to listen to them now, and because it’s associated with an ex bestie. But. Can’t lie. They had some bangers.”
Steam Powered Giraffe: 4/10 (Also associated with an ex bestie. They’ve got some good music but I don’t listen to them anymore.)
Mushrooms/Indie: 7/10 (This one was a bit odd but it did result in me redecorating my entire room to match this aesthetic.)
2023:
Faith The Unholy Trinity: 10/10 (Awesome Game, honestly one of the first things that sparked by interest in religious media, so points for that.)
The Exorcist: 9/10 (An odd thing to hyperfixiate on, I know, but this was also a result of my growing love for religious media.)
Mandela Catalouge: 6/10 (This was an odd one. I, at the time, had this raging fear of analog horror in general, so watching the Mandela Catalogue was sort of like..immersion therapy in a way. But it’s a pretty good show none the less 🤷‍♀️)
Be More Chill: 5/10 (Loved at the time, but low points for having been introduced to me by an ex bestie.)
Every Man Hybrid: 8/10 (A certified banger. Genuinely one of the better takes on the Operator and the whole creepypasta fandom in general. It’s great fr. Highly recommend.)
Grease: 4/10 (Ew. I’m only putting it here because I was in a production of it, and it was kind of a part of my life, but also, ew.)
Greys Anatomy: 8/10 (A banger show, but it doesn’t get a 10 simply because of how long it is.)
Slipknot: 7/10 (I don’t love who I was while listening to this band, but that’s kind of just something metal music in general will do to you.)
Aliens: 10/10 (This was short lived but strong enough to have bought a “I Want to believe” poster and hung it up behind my bed.)
Beacon Pines: 10/10 (Amazing game, very underrated. Also resulted in good bonding time with my brother.)
Gravity Falls: 9/10 (Another Amazing series that I’m probably a little cringe for. Whatever. It’s awesome.)
2024:
Ace Attorney: 9/10 (I eat, breathed, and slept this game series for months. Nuff said.)
The Ocean/Sea Animals: 9/10 (if I could keep an orca as a pet, I would.)
Midnight Mass: 10/10 (HOLY GOD. Another one of my favorite bits of religious media out there. It’s not exactly prime catholic propaganda but it’s not meant to be either.)
Baldurs Gate 3: 10/10 (This game brought back my DND era, which was much needed. I’d been without fantasy nonsense for a long time and I was ready for it.)

Divinity Original Sin 2 - Ultimate Modding Guide
Tumblr media
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 There's no question that Divinity: Original Sin 2 is going to be in the running for RPG of the year with its wide-ranging character builds, tactical combat system, and intertwining storylines. You can always make a good thing better though -- and now that the game has left Early Access to enter full release, the mods are starting to roll in! Across the next few slides we've rounded up the best of the best that are currently available to enhance your Original Sin 2 experience. There are two types of mods here: Steam Workshop mods and regular old downloadable mods you've got to install the old fashioned way from a site like Nexus. For Steam Workshop entries, just head to the Discussions or Community Hub page for the game, then tab over to the Workshop. For the mod you want to install, just hit "Subscribe" and then restart the game. Keep in mind before installing any of these mods that -- even if the mod in question isn't a cheat -- your Steam achievements will be disabled as long as any of the Steam Workshop items are currently active. Of course, the downside there is that you have to have the Steam version of the game and not be using some other service like GOG. If you got your copy elsewhere and don't use Steam, many of these mods or very similar entries are readily available at sites like Nexus Mods with a little searching. These mods typically aren't self-installing and take a little more effort than their Steam counterparts. For most of these mods, after unzipping you just have to drag the "Data" folder over to one of these locations depending on where you bought the game:. Sometimes you may have to replace different files and folders to get a mod working, however. Make sure to navigate to the "Description" tab at Nexus Mods to read the specific instructions for each mod! Finally, don't forget that since the game just released, new patches will likely break some of these temporarily. If it isn't working, check back in a few days for a newer version! Download on Nexus Mods. As far as I'm concerned, this is a required mod that should be an in-game toggle option. I love nearly everything about how Larian has crafted this turn-based, tactical RPG experience It has no place in this game world, and ruins immersion. I can just skip the eye-rolling one liners in the dialogue, but stealth is always in your face with its silliness -- as your main character suddenly starts cosplaying as a bush or stumps around the room underneath the barrel like it's an episode of Scooby Doo. My heartfelt thanks to the maker of this mod, who is unquestionably doing the Divine's work on Earth. Download on Steam Workshop. We've covered the crafting system extensively , which lets you create your own basic potions, scrolls, weapons, and even skills. But it some ways it does feel a bit lacking in comparison to the other options presented in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Much like with Fallout 4 , the modding community has come together to immediately fix this oversight, creating a much more robust system that utilizes more items. Now all that junk like cracked plates and broken mugs can be turned into useful material, and unwanted old clothing and armor can be broken down into scraps that in turn are used to boost existing armor pieces. Who doesn't want a bigger party? Granted, this does break a few things on the balance and replayability fronts, as the game is meant to be played with four characters and then replayed later with four different characters, taking differing options along the way. But who wants to play the game the way it was intended? If you want all the pre-built origin characters together in one playthrough, now you can go wild with a full group of six party members. It's a good bet those devastating boss battles won't be nearly as frustrating anymore either! The talent system includes a host of combat and non-combat options, but talents aren't added every single level -- so you will only ever have a handful of them to try out. While that's clearly on purpose for build and replability purposes, some of the talents that you really want to have on hand all the time, like Pet Pal, can result in sub-optimal builds as you give up a combat talent. This simple little mod gives your starting character Pet Pal for free. If the pre-built origin character already has Pet Pal as a standard option like Ifan , then you get another extra talent for free. If you want to experience the full range of combat and build options straight from Fort Joy, this mod gives each skill vendor a much larger range of the associated skill books immediately. That's right -- no more having to deal with only have four possible skills for each spell school until you escape the Fort! Instead you can get some of those devastatingly awesome later game skills assuming you've got the gold or the pickpocket ability. Spirit Vision is an imminently useful ability, since it is required to figure out puzzles like the elemental pressure plates in Mordu's basement. Unfortunately you have to manually activate the ability every 10 rounds, which doesn't really make sense given that Spirit Vision doesn't require any Source points to use once you acquire the skill. Doesn't it make more sense to just always have it active? That's exactly what this mod does, so you don't have to constantly turn it back on to see if you missed anything! When you pump your stealth skill up to higher levels, it becomes very useful to position yourself before combat begins and get in a good old backstab to start the fight. Unfortunately, it's less useful during combat, since sneaking requires so many AP. This simple mod makes sneaking more viable during combat especially when connected to the Guerilla talent by lowering the AP cost by half. This interesting little mod changes some of your tactical options and is only sort of a cheat that increases your max AP from 6 to 8. The mod doesn't automatically give anyone extra AP, it just increases the maximum AP you can have in a turn. In other words, if you save AP from round to round or you have abilities that increase AP temporarily , you can potentially get in more moves and attacks, but you have to be strategic about your AP usage to get to the full 8 points. This mod offers only one single, tiny little change -- but it will be very welcome for players who demand a certain level of control and tidiness over their UI. Are you tired of how every single item you pick up automatically gets added to your inventory? For the casual player that's useful, since they won't forget to use scrolls and potions found during the game. But if you want total control, this mod makes it so that only new skills get added to the skillbar, and not any items you grab. Another simple UI change, this mod just makes a tweak to the border shading around any given item, making them pop much more on the screen and also making it much easier to distinguish the rarity of any given magic item. Those were the 10 best mods we've found so far for this classic throwback RPG! What did you think of our picks, and what other mods would you recommend we try out? Let us know in the comments! Even without mods, there are hundreds of quests, builds, and secrets to explore in this sprawling, turn-based fantasy epic. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition (Switch, 2019) Richie:  I LIEK THE DUBBLE ONES! The Last of Us x2 Divinity: Original Sin II x2 Play count: 16 off that list, that's also eight twentyfifths, which is roughly how much of my massive dick your mom can take. Cunzy: Now, we all know the issues with a crowd sourced list. It's dumb. It's like putting together a list of best fruit, or favourite socks. However, every now and then it's useful to pull the wang out to measure it against the communities' wang and see just how weird and misshapen our is (we share genital appendages) by comparison. Play count: 9! What an alternative darling I am! Richie: I mean they are great, and you know they will be, but you have to draw the line somewhere, So you have to choose and say, "Nah I wont play this", better the time sink you know, right? And you choose your reasons, you skim an article, and find the thing that is slightly wrong and then activate your inner drama queen to say "OMG that is not a game I want to play I cant believe they dont have Fred Durst doing the voice of the main character" or something equally nuts. And there is plenty of them on that list that I simply refuse to play for these reasons. And I guess that's fine? Time is finite, I cant go back ten years and play all of the PS3 games I never played? Can I? Cunzy: GUILTY CONFESSIONS, A.K.A those games you know are great but just never got around to: Mario Odyssey, LoZ (the whole franchise), Red Dead (series), Mass Effect (series), Persona (series), Divinity (series), Souls (series)... where do I hand my gamer card back? Richie: Also Overwatch... Do people actually play it, or is that there just because people fiddle with their genitalia to fund cosplay camgirls? Cunzy: Yes, watch me throat this widowmaker dildo on my stream now. Richie: So do we disagree with this list? Well, to be fucking honest I'm not going to research it myself, I'm not sure I have played much more than 50 games this year, as far as i can recall, I played a lot of Diablo 3 and Fallout/Skyrim... but yeah I'm sure the above is good... Actually fuck that, Games of the decade for me are... Every iteration of pokemon that came out in the last 10 years, X/Y, Sun/Moon, Black/White, Sword/Shield, Flaps/Scrotum. Skyrim SNOW VIKING DRAGON SHOUTING Animal Crossing, Shake the tree for Nook. Lego Everything, play, collect, repeat Hyperdimensions Neptunia. Ultra Japanese anthropomorphised consoles as Anime girls. Vert is best Waifu.  Fallouts So many plus expansions, Chandler as a bad guy is special.  Diablo 3, Clicky loot loot  WoW Classic, because...  FFXIII-2, Timetravel-bocolina  Tomodatchi Life, Make your friends on the DS into miis, interact with them, cry alone at night Smash Bros. Repeatedly main Peach till she becomes top tier, yaay Jackbox games, All Gems, probably the best multiplayer gaming actually this decade.  Doki Doki Literature Club, MO-NI-KA Batmanzes, grapple glide Southparkgames, play the stories you have watched and add a weak RPG element. Dragon Ages-s, Way better than mass effect Every Naruto game. Like lego, but with anime ninjas Barrel Scrape: the game, where you frantically look at your steam collection for the games you have most played, and check the dates of your 360 games to see if they fall into this category I played 18 games it seems? Cunzy: *gasps for air*, wipes synthetic jizz from Lollipop Chainsaw skirt. Ten years is a long time. Here's my top 18 games of the decade. Silent Hill Shattered Memories 2010 Silent Hill without the combat and all the more psychologically chilling because of it. Great setting, theme and story. One I regularly come back to and still brick myself.  Endless Ocean 2 2010 Expanding on the first one in every way, shame there aren't more nature lovin' games in this ilk.  Monster Hunter Tri 2010 The only one in the series to have kept my attention despite it being the 'wrong one' according to many in the MH community.  Lost Planet 2 2010 Probably one of the games with the most comprehensive couch co-op mode and ridiculous bosses to team up against. Absolutely bonkers story, giant monsters and jetpacks. What more do you need? Dead Rising 2 2010 I wasn't too bothered with DR3 and DR4 despite absolutely loving the first game. They seem to have crossed the line between goofy but po-faced and just silly apocalypse zombie killing. DR2 arguably gives you a playground more memorable than Willamette and stays on the 'serious' side.  Dead Space 2 2011 One of my favourite gaming franchises I think, excellently built world that is complemented by the tie in anime, comics and spin-off games.   Resident Evil Revelations 2012 It was a good decade for Resident Evil with almost every game seeing multiple ports, re-releases and remasters. It's a close call between Resident Evil 2 and Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS for my favourite of the decade but this one really got it's biohazardous talons-with-eyes into us especially raid mode. Revelations 2 is fantastic co-op but the raid mode side of things isn't as fluid as the original Revelations. Criminally, aside from a brief VR foray into Resident Evil 7, we errr didn't play it.  The Last Story 2012 Oh, I fell in love with this game and despite the small geography of Lazulis City it felt like a living city with many surprises tucked away. Great soundtrack to boot.  Fire Emblem Awakening 2013 Another series that had a rock solid decade starting with Awakening then the rest of the 3DS trilogy, an excellent Warriors game and even Heroes wasn't too bad. Although Fire Emblem Three Houses is the superior game, it's the cast and the support system pioneered by Awakening that has this in my top 18.  Tomb Raider 2013 Sometimes the context in which you play a game is as important as the game itself. A weekend in 2013 with fellow Tomb Raider fans blasting through this excellent and long awaited reboot is fondly remembered. Last of Us 2013 It's hard to put a finger on just one thing that makes this game phenomenal but there's not been much like it since.  LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2013 There were some great LEGO games this decade from opposites LEGO Worlds and LEGO Dimensions to movie tie-ins and a strong series of games based on the Marvel and DC comics. The Marvel trilogy in particular was outstanding.  Everyone's Gone to the Rapture 2015 With age, the more energetic games can leave me wheezing with exhaustion just thinking about playing them and EGttR is a perfect respite from the shootbang games. Honestly, I'd be keen to play more games just like this. The English countryside setting in particular made it extra special.  Mario Kart 8 Deluxe 2017 Honestly, who actually puts Mario Kart on their top games list? Well thinking about it and looking at play records it's probably the perfect couch multiplayer game but with a real challenging depth to those looking to break records and get a hold of those elusive gold kart components.  Splatoon 2 2017 Cheating slightly here by including Splatoon 2 and the Octo Expansion as one entry. I'm really not a huge fan of the central competitive gameplay of Splatoon, although I've put in the hours, but the single player side of things are a worthy first person puzzler(?) in their own right.  Into the Breach 2018 When the options paralysis sets in, which is often, I just spin up Into the Breach. Three hours and a few runs later I'll question why I don't play this game even more often. Hundreds of hours in and still challenges to do, runs to try.  Super Smash Brothers Ultimate 2018 Part game, part nerdy love letter to gaming, part video game museum.  Pokemon Sword and Shield 2019 Okay as Richie pointed above any of the pokemon mainline series could have filled this slot but the last one makes most sense. Twas also a good decade for the spinoffs. I enjoyed Pokemon Conquest a huge deal, put an embarrassing amount of time into Quest as well as Picross, Rumble, Duel, Go and mystery dungeons.  And there we have it, lists, we'll be back at some point in the future with more lists, perhaps with a list spanning the last 2 decades, to present you with our Game of the Century (spoilers, it's SSX Tricky). Also if anyone has a word to describe my above rant about the act of proactively dismissing something despite knowing it will be good to avoid committing to the time sink, please let me know. We live in a time of labels, there must be a word for this! Love and where do you even start with persona! Richie + Cunzy X
