finally got some time to finish these guys up! which is sort of ironic considering I started these because I wanted to draw Malleus with a Dragapult, and then I just didn't for a million years!

Malleus has the aforementioned Dragapult, except it's a super special non-canon color Dragapult (like an anime-only form that you could get in-game exclusively through some limited-time event where you have to show up in-person at a specific location in Japan) (it has some wacky overpowered exclusive move/form and the OT is listed as Malleus) (so like that kind of ridiculous specialness) (Leona is extremely salty about this). also hoards and hoards of Dreepy. Dreepy LOVE Malleus. they take naps on his horns inbetween begging him to throw them across the island at mach speeds.

Lilia has a Drampa and a bunch of Woobat that he hasn't actually caught, they just follow him around in swarms because they sense a kinship with him. (also breaking my own rule again to say that he had a Mawile in the past, because...I just really wanted to give him a Mawile...)

Sebek has Sandile for obvious reasons, and also a Pikachu that bullies him relentlessly. :(

Silver has a shiny Corvisquire; I really went back-and-forth on also giving him an Aegislash, but...hm. those pokedex entries though. he can stick with just one for now.

(I hadn't planned on the shiny for him, but after I'd decided on the Corvisquire line and was looking it up for reference, I realized that shiny Rookidee is gold and then turns silver when it evolves and I lost my entire goddamn mind)

a neat idea that i've seen about is that having a ghost pokemon as a partner will have some odd affects on you, say for example giving you glowing eyes

another thing, this is not seen in Hisui as people are'nt really friendly with pokemon ghost types especially

and finally a widely vilified pokemon like zoroark meeting someone who is only wary of you not afraid, who also shows clear signs they were at some point the friend of a ghost type would prob endear that person to you a bit huh

I got the in-game Randy one year ago today. He's the last of the main three I received in-game, but was the first one to have a solid character concept. It's fascinating to look back at that time and see how much less there was to him and his family at the time...

One day at work, the song "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride" came on, and it led to me imagining Randy surfing. Which led down a rabbit hole of realizations, and lo-and-behold, Randy's a surfer now! :3

I almost didn't go through with it, as I myself am--or was--incredibly uneducated in all things surfing, and feared that I would get surfing related questions. But I brought it to Discord, and as tends to happen, the idea was encouraged.

I still consider myself to be pretty low in surfing knowledge, so don't expect deep answers, if any, should I be asked. But it just makes so much sense to me that Randy would be a surfer, and I've learned quite a bit in pursuing this idea. ^w^

I also came to learn something about Randy through this surfing thing as well.

You'd think Momo takes way more after her mom than her dad, but I realized Momo and Randy do have something in common; They're both thrill-seekers. Now, since becoming a Mew, Randy has buried his thrill-seekerness under his anxiety. But it's there, and when he lets go of his fear, he really lets go.

I've mentioned in the past that Momo is sensory-seeking. Randy isn't necessarily sensory-seeking, but he has a high pain tolerance that Momo may have inherited.

And of course while studying surfing images, I had to do a rendition of The Shot.
