AND IF I GET MARRIED MY HEALTHCARE GETS TAKEN AWAY BECAUSE I UNFORTANETLY LIVE IN THE USA.
My plan when I was in high school to become a monk or forest witch is once again becoming more appealing

A team at the University of Texas recently conducted a study on intermittent fasting, and found that time-restricted fasting - going through periods with little or no food – reduces inflammation, improves blood lipids and helps in weight loss. Participants did not reduce their total number of calories – just the time frame in which they consumed them. “During fasting, cells are put in stress and this can help to lose weight as fat is used as a source of energy. This helps to maintain the blood sugar and cholesterol levels. During non-fasting hours, the kind of foods we should be eating include fibre-rich fruits, veggies, wholegrains, lean and plant proteins, along with the importance of keeping hydrated with water, and avoiding carbonated drinks. Fasting during Ramadan also gives people a chance to reset their metabolisms, forcing the body to work harder during the hours without food and drink, using up fat sources and riding it of toxins. If people break their fasts with healthy, nutritious foods when the body needs them most, and choose healthy, carbohydrate-heavy choices for Suhoor – the meal before dawn – it will set the metabolism up for the day to get the most nutrients from food consumed. This in turn will boost energy levels Fasting can also have a positive impact on our brain productivity. A study carried out by US researchers found that fasting pushes our brains into a state of stress, causing it to produce a protein known as brain-derived neurotrophic factor - or BDNF - which helps to promote brain stem cell rejuvenation. Rutabaga Cream Soup

Warms you to your toes!  Great idea for these still cold late winter evenings, great idea for your diabetic diet too!
2 med. rutabagas, microwaved*, peeled, diced
2 - 3 c. vegetable stock, no added sugar
1 med. onion, diced
1/2 t. salt
dash pepper
1 T. flour
2 c. half and half
1/2 t. marjoram
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. chives, chopped
In a large soup pot add prepared rutabagas to the vegetable stock along with the onion, salt and pepper - cook until onions are tender, turn down to simmer.  While that is cooking away, whisk together the flour, milk, and marjoram gradually add all this to the simmering onion/veg broth.  In a small mixing bowl, add sour cream.  Spoon some of the hot broth into the sour cream, stir-stir-stir. Add more broth in this manner until you have added about 1 c. broth.  Then gradually add the sour cream/broth mixture to the main soup, stirring this in.  Heat to simmer.  Serve topped with chives.
*Rutabagas take much longer than potatoes to cook so give them a head start by microwaving them for 3 min. on high in a microwave potato cooker, let cool before you peel and dice, find ’em on etsy.
