Written for the DMC Maneater Zine! I bring you... my contribution for Kat from DmC: Devil May Cry! @dmc-maneater-zine

Summary:

Everything doesn't just end when you complete the mission that you and your closest associate had been working on for years. Perhaps the life you once knew ended, but it continues into something new. Perhaps the world you once knew had ended, but that's because it has changed and it still needs to march forward. Perhaps your mission had ended, but there will always be new ones...

Kat will march forward with her new purpose in life, and continue having her hand in the changes happening in the world post-unveiling-of-limbo.

But beside moving forward for the betterment of humanity, when she is not keeping track of how humanity fares, she uses her downtime over something personal that she will not let end: the bond she had with Vergil, and the bond of brotherhood that neither Vergil nor Dante should have had to give up.

So, she will find Vergil. For herself, for Dante, and even for Vergil, she will find him. And while she searches for him, she thinks about all the things of the past, and what she wishes for the future.

Hello. I've interest in sending in an application the next time I'm free from my work schedule, but I wanted to check first if it would be a bother if my writing samples are not from Trigun? I have not made the time to write anything for the fandom, mainly because I am very particular about how I craft my stories and so everything is still in planning stages while I work on my current long-form projects. But I have some samples from my previous work with Devil May Cry zines, along with other DMC writings. I would of course prefer to be able to show my understanding and interpretations of Vash and Wolfwood, but I certainly won't have more than one sample ready before the application deadline.

P.S. I am also not picky about whether or not I write SFW or NSFW. I see that the application asks me if I would like to choose only one option. Would two applications be preferred then? Also to note, I am willing to provide one piece of work for each category if the final selection calls for it. I have done so before for previous projects I was a part of.

Not at all! The applicant guidelines doc merely 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 including Trigun pieces—doesn't label them as mandatory. We will gladly welcome works from other fandoms! (Although, it would be optimal to have at least one short snippet showing off Vash's and Wolfwood's relationship/dynamic/characterization. It really doesn't need to be long.) And yes please! If you want to apply for both SFW and NSFW section, then two applications would be excellent.
