Thinking about how the plot of season 6 wouldn’t make sense if you do not acknowledge the fact that Cas and Crowley working together was an affair, or at least it felt like so to Dean.

Majority of the people that I heard saying that they disliked that conflict, say that it doesn’t make sense because Dean should’ve understood Cas’ point of view. And that Dean has also worked with demons before, more than once, out of desperation. Which is why he doesn’t have the right to be mad. And I understand that. But it wasn’t about working with demons. No. Not really. The thing that hurt Dean the most about Cas’ choice was how he chose to ask for help from Crowley, instead of him. Cas chose Crowley over him.

“Look me in the eye, and tell me you’re not working with Crowley…”

“You’re in it with him? You and Crowley?? You’re going after purgatory together??? You have, huh? This whole time!”

“No, you had a choice. You just made the wrong one.”

“I was there. Where were you?”

The plot literally doesn’t make sense if you do not acknowledge destiel or crowstiel or deancascrowley. And I think that’s insane, especially for a show from 2005.

Purcon Panel: Misha is talking a lot about Destiel and the relationship between fandom and the production right now. Like a super long answer. When he first started he was talking openly about Destiel because he didn't know it was taboo, and when he got told "we don't do this here" he wanted to break the taboo anyways. He also said he was always playfully interested in Destiel but also that he repressed some of his feelings about it at first. When Robert Berens came to him in s15 he was like "we can do that?". He also mentioned how awesome it is that he is now on a show with not just straight white cis men (basically) and that it is normal to have gay or trans characters. Sorry he really gave a lengthy answer but I tried to summarize it as best as I could. He added in the end:

"We could have done more and we could have been more inclusive but I was glad that we made it as far as we did"

AND ANOTHER THING Destiel's first rodeo down at Purgatory did not need to happen when they exploded Dick Roman. Cas did not fucking need to be that close to Dean and Dean could've survived on his own with Benny—in fact that would've taken some of the heat off of Destiel now that Dean's just making friends with non-humans, even blowing off Sam at some point because Benny called—but nooooooo they got trapped in their own narrative.

They made the Destiel girlies even more delusional by taking creative choices like "I prayed to you, Cas! Every night!" and "I ain't leaving here without you, Cas," but also "they were after me, I had to get away from you," and that whole memory reset Dean had to do, post-Purgatory. NOT TO MENTION building himself an actual reputation in Purgatory that the monsters just started referring to Castiel as his [Dean's] angel. Because that's literally what he was.

Like seriously, they could've cured Crazy!Cas with one hastily written cure or sent him to therapy idk but they could have solved that topside. Cas would've been fine eventually but no what did they decide on doing? Yeah sped up the process but also kickstarting even more Destiel shenanigans—because that's exactly what happens when Sam is out of the picture and Dean and Cas can be framed together in a non-platonic way.

I hate this show.

"You're dramatic." Dean turns his face back, and even though he still feels as if it's with his tail between his legs, he meets Cas' gaze again, watching the glint in his eyes, the pull of his brow, the way every word flits through him. His voice is small; "That’s my answer—that’s a yes. I am. Yeah, man, you already know I am.”

Cas' response is the brush of their lips together again, eyelids fluttering shut with his arm curled around the back of his head, the other stuck between them still, glass and knuckles knocking into Dean's sternum all the same. Someone hums, they make a noise together. Cas licks into his mouth; he tastes like flesh, like wheat, like water.

When someone turns their head in the dark, their mouths slot together better, and Dean no longer feels the bridge of his nose being broken, like his teeth are going to break through the tissue of his lips, and he almost misses it. He would, if not for the way Cas groans into him, makes up for it by slipping his wedged arm out and wrapping it the rest of the way around Dean's body, the bottle knocking into his shoulder blade, pulling their bodies flush together. Dean fixes their feet and shoves his thigh between Cas' legs; he feels him half-hard beneath borrowed pajamas, and he shivers.

Cas parts barely an inch, moving against his mouth when he speaks, "Are you cold?"

Dean hesitates, and then he nods. "Get in the bed then," Cas says.
