there's a lot of stuff I've seen encouraging commenting on fanfic (this is a good thing! I like seeing this!) but it makes me think about how the culture around fandom has shifted since I started writing back in 2009. I'll share my thoughts in a readmore, but before I can color your opinion: POLL TIME!
For this poll, being engaged in fandom means that you've created (drawn, written, made AMVs/fancams or GIFsets) OR consumed a moderate amount of fandom content. Including time spent in fandom not as a flex, but as a gauge for what the 'culture' was like people would had joined. Also forgive me I have limited poll options
Reblog for sample size! No there is not a 'I'm not in a fandom see results' option, I ran out of space and a neutral answer does not help me collect data
i wamt to make a fancam but i have a fucker of a migraine hm. Also cant decide who to do data or garak but i also meant to do the jadzia bisexual one like 4 months ago goddamn
I found this fancam of jensen about how much he made with each project supposedly. Do these numbers feel accurate ? I feel like him earning millions for The Boys and Big Sky sounds fake
Link. First, I debunked the salary stuff here. Next, they are wrong in every claim and working off either old outdated data, or dreamed up from a weekend of bad brownie benders.
seeing people on twitter undermine data poisoning as a tactic is making my head hurt… we live in a digital world, poisoning datasets can quite literally be one of the strongest tools you have
