Some DPCU sleep headcanons!!

- Ilyian tries to help everyone sleep but gets fucking tackled by SB every time he tries

- I imagine Ilyian with a giant blonde Afro, like giant, like reaches his knees & takes up most of his silhouette giant so he has a comically large bonnet for it

- Ilyian never seems to be fully rested, like he's never quite 100% even if he's slept 8 hours, or slept more than that he's just always a little tired (he has very cute yawns)

- Ilyian is really cuddly, like he's will curl into you and hold you close to him. He will be the reason you don't want to get out of bed in the morning

- Samiel has a long night routine to match his even longer morning one. Like he puts rollers in his hair, does a face mask, does thoese eye thingys, puts a fuck ton of oils on his face, and probably even more than that! This man is a diva!!!!

- Samiel is also quite cuddly but more in the he won't let you go if you have to get up for water in the middle of the night type of way. You won't get out of bed in the morning not because you want to stay in bed but because Samiel won't let you!

- Micheal is the pillow, like this man is giant of course he is!

- Micheal is a heavy sleeper, like heavy, he'd sleep through a battle if Ilyian wasn't such a light sleeper and woke him up

- Micheal naturally rises with the Sun

- while Samiel wakes up just before the Sun not because he wants to but because it's that or wake up with the bright Sun blaring in his eyes

- SB has a night routine that's mainly just him curling every single one of his curls perfectly, like he does it all evenly and theres like 10 lose hairs tops, no one knows how he does it

- SB is a late riser, he enjoys being woken up by the sunlight shining in his eyes

- Custodian somehow manages to be awake before Samiel, like you'll get out of bed expecting to be the only one awake but The Custodian is just over there making tea

- Custodian is a light sleeper not because they want to be but because when they were taking care of lil Sammy & Zazzy they had to wake up at like 3am to comfort them or deal with the "Custodian.. We threw up..", basically motherly instincts

- Zazriel doesn't sleep.

- fr tho i don't think he sleeps after his ascension but before it he'd be up at some odd hour of the night reading with a flash light (or lantern? I don't think they have flashlights in the DPCU-)

Fuck it, tumblr exclusive Dpcu headcannons (sleep edition!)

Samiel has the most intensive sleep routine that has even more steps than his moring routine.

Samiel also sleeps in the fanciest and extragent robe ever.

SB sleeps only in his boxers.

Samiel and Sb are so fucking codependent on one another now they have a very hard time falling asleep without the other (Sb just has trouble sleeping alone in general ever since the war I heaven)

Ilyian is almost completely silent when he sleeps (a habit he built up over the last thousand years)

Micheal will fall asleep at like 8 pm. The earliest he's ever gone to bed was 6. (He is not a night person)

The custodian occasionally has nightmares themself (normally revolving arius), and they just stay up after them.

Samiel mumbles in his sleep, and it is the cutest thing ever (semi cannon! Atlest when he's drunk, lol)

Sb runs extremely warm and kicks blankets off of him while he sleeps so he doesn't overheat

Micheal is the biggest cuddlebug. If he falls asleep next to someone, they will be grabbed and can not leave until he wakes up.

Samiel runs cold and requires all the heat he can get while sleeping (he doesn't mind being cold while he's awake. He's used to it)

The custodian will kick someone if they try and touch them while they are asleep (they have zero recollection of it afterwards.)

Sb is so used to wearing their glasses that when he wakes up, he is incredibly confused about why the world looks so blurry until someone points out he isn't wearing his glasses

Ilyian (who has very long hair that's normally up in a bun) will either let his hair down to sleep or braid it.

Ilyian is a very light sleeper!

Time limit premise in Ikemen series... and why Vamp is the worst in that sense

Don't misunderstand, I really like Vamp and this has nothing to do with my personal likes.

So the setting of each Ikeseries game from Cybird is like this

Sen: MC who time traveled, 3 month time limit

Rev: MC who went to another world, 1 month limit

Vamp: MC who time traveled, 1 month time limit

Ĺive: MC who was living in that world, no time limit

Gen: MC who was living in that world, no time limit

Pri: MC who was living in that world, 1 month time limit

Vil: MC who was living in that world, 1 month time limit

And among these, the one that this time limit premise is done in the poorest way is Vamp.

This is mostly because MC has only a month(or two, in the later routes but still) and once she leaves she can never come back.

Well, ok you could fall in love in a month, that's acceptable, but giving up your whole life in 21st century for the dude who you've only known for a month? To make matters worse, this MC is good at speaking multiple languages but it's just necessary for everyday life, not like it helps her significantly or makes her a job. The only thing she does in 19th century France is to do chores with Sebastian. I mean, of course that's an important work, yes, but... it has nothing to do with her specialties or dreams or anything. In the worst case scenario if she breaks up with the dude, her choice to be with him leaves her nothing. She just wasted her time doing chores in the random mansion.

At least Sen MC has 3 months, which is absolutely better than one, and she actually has a proper job to do with her specialty in that timeline.

Rev MC is from another world but going back and forth between her world and the guy's isn't very much of a big deal compared to Sen or Vamp. Just wait for a month and she could always go to another world and vice versa.

Live and Gen MCs are in the same world with the guys and don't have any kind of time limit so they have nothing to be bothered.

Pri and Vil MCs have 1 month time limit, but still they're in the same world with the guys so they could always meet even after the deadline, if they really wanted to.

But Vamp MC only has 1 month, and she'll never see the guys again once she leaves that timeline. So she's like "Oh I love him so much, I don't wanna leave him" but 1 month is not enough time to decide whether you could give up all you had including careers, dreams, family and become the housekeeper only for the sake of love.

And this isn't Cybird's game, but Court of Darkness from Voltage has a similar setting, MC going to another world(without the time limit). And at least this MC is an orphan and she mentioned herself that no one will be there for her even if she went back. So it's more acceptable that she chose life in new world, since it's pretty much indicated that she doesn't have much attachment to her previous world.

But Vamp MC? She has family. She has friends. She has job. Why in the world would she abandon all those just for a guy she had just met.

And honestly?

I love that Viren’s moment of refusal was with a creature he didn’t really care about. 

In his dream flashbacks, we see him walk through almost every meaningful relationship in his life - his king and ‘brother’ and possible victim in Harrow; Soren, back before their relationship was fractured and afterwards, and Claudia of course, following in his footsteps; Kpp’Ar, the man who helped him learn dark magic in the first place and who he coined for unknown but suspected reasons - save for his wife, whose absence speaks volumes, I think, in the levels of isolation Viren has routinely felt. (“Tell no one. Not even Claudia. You must carry this weight alone. It won’t be easy, but you are strong.”) Stoic, strong, lonely, y’know?  And these dreams highlight Viren’s willingness to do whatever it takes for the people he loves, no matter what. We also saw in S4 that he wasn’t particularly engaged in living beyond the set 30 days; happy to be alive, yes, but Claudia was still primarily the one pushing their mission forward.

But I don’t think it’s an accident that when Viren rejects dark magic, he also rejects the dehumanization - the de-personalization - of a creature that would be very easy to depersonalize. Because that’s what dark magic inherently is, either dehumanizing yourself or others in order to commit the acts you deem necessary. or both.

If his moment of refusal had been about someone he loved, it would’ve been about love, not the morality of it - and morality is what he’s always, arguably, needed more of, at least in that way.

It had to be a magical creature, a non human, a monster - that he saw as a person, or innocent (which Claudia is not), if nothing else, and refused to sacrifice it for his own gain. That’s the point.

D’yever think about the fact that SB only started being a more active participant in his and Samiel’s relationship (initiating a kiss, flirting with him, teasing back) after ascending because there wasn’t that power imbalance anymore and he treated him as equals? Because I think about it a lot.

I'm currently hyperfixated on the dpcu so here's some thoughts about it! :33 (and some headcannons)

Does Michael know Sb's name? Like we never introduced ourselves to him like we did the others, and no one calls sb by his name they just call him "boy" (or bestie in ilyian's case) so Michael would have no way of knowing that sb's name isnt just boy.

Samiel said that he's he's 1300 in the lions when correcting dasin but is that accurate?? Is he exactly 1300?? Because if so then zazriel would be 1294. (They have a six year age gap)

If samiel is exactly 1300 years old that means that Micheal would have been 263 when sammy was born

WHAT IS ILYIAN AND SAMMYS RELATIONSHIP LIKE???? ARE THEY FRIENDS? DO THEY TALK? THIS IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!!!!

Sb occasionally has panic attacks seemingly for no reason (he just like me fr fr!) And samiel comforts him and helps him calm down:)

My version of sb weres glasses and has just learned to see through the dirt on them (he once took them off to clean while walking and walked face first into a tree.)

He chose you…

The days passed by silently… slowly… There was an eagerness in your bones that craved the touch of your husband. Part of you despised loving him while the other part longed for him once more. No matter how greatly the grief clinged to you, you refused to allow yourself to simply let him in. Aemond had the ultimatum… You allowed him the privilege to choose and so you waited.

Life passed by with the Red Keep continuing business as usual. Though everything seemed plain, a tension hung in the air that caused waves of anxiety to rush through the halls. The staff of the Keep were far more hushed than usual, gossiping with baited breaths when they could.

They took notice of the strange silence between you and the Prince. You only allowed yourself to be seen with Aemond at suppers or when it was greatly expected of you, so not to slack on your duty to the realm. The only other time you allowed yourself to see him was in the quick glances at him when he came to bed. Encounters at night were always silent, moving separately from each other so not to disturb what remained unspoken.

Most of your time was spent either in the gardens or the library, using your solitude as time for further entertainment. Currently, you were perched on a seat of one of the garden patios among bushes and a vineyard with your children accompanying you. You would not allow for the coldness you currently felt toward Aemond to manifest toward them as well, they were innocents. When they asked why their father was no longer frequently joining their mother in her activities, you swayed them away from the questions, wishing not to go into detail with them yet about Aemond’s infidelity.

Your son, Aemon, was pretending to joust with his wooden sword and shield on the greenery. He looked just like Aemond, even going as far as to antagonize his imaginary opponent before striking them. Maerys, your sweet daughter, sat at the steps to the patio reading a book. She was just as studious as her father. And though both children had traits of their father and the fine silver hair of a Targaryen, they had your eyes and your spirit.

It was the shift in the attendants that alerted you to another presence. You lifted your gaze to see Aemond, face stoic and arms held behind his back. With a sigh, you rose from your seat and soothed out the skirt of your dress. You waved at the attendants as to instruct them.

“Please see the children back to their rooms. Their lessons with the septas will resume shortly,” You nodded to the nurse who escorted Aemon and Maerys back into the Keep.

Both Aemond and yourself watched as the silver-haired twins disappeared indoors, leaving you both alone together. Instead of looking to your husband, you gaze rested on one of the shrubs with freshly sprouted rose buds. Words had escaped you and your mind was too foggy to think properly.

Suddenly, calloused fingers began to settle in your hand, attempting to intertwine themselves with your own soft digits. The feeling caused a wave of worry to crash through you as you quickly pulled your hand away. Aemond sighed, but his hand remained where yours was a moment before.

“It rids me with guilt that the smile that once graced your face has been replaced with tears and anger at my doing,” your husband finally broke the silence between you.

“Do you love her?” You responded, paying no mind to his previous statement.

His reply was quick to follow, a slight surprise to you, “No.”

Words were lost on you, so instead you simply nodded your head. Your gaze was still elsewhere, concerned that if you looked him in the eye your walls would crumble.

“I know that I have caused you unspeakable pain, but you will not have to worry about temptations anymore…” Aemond tried to keep a stoic tone, but the wavering of his voice revealed how much he regretted his previous actions.

Though you accepted his kind words, he needed to be explicit about what they meant, “And what of Alys… and the bastard?”

“I expect that they have sailed off the coast of Dorne by now. The witch is seeking asylum abroad in Essos where she shall be no concern of ours,” Aemond explained, “But the fault has been mine, my love. You have been a loyal wife and companion, blessing us with two beautiful children. I allowed the spoils of war to corrupt me and tempt me and I… I apologize, deeply, and this will be something I regret for the rest of my days…”

“But I love you, my sweet wife, I truly do. And if you would allow me, I would do… I would do anything to amend the bonds I’ve broken,” He looked at you, grief shining through his one good eye.

There was a quiet moment between both of you. Then, you silently outstretched your hand, taking his pale hand into your own.
