53° Resenha do dia 2022 He-Man e os mestres do multiverso: Mestre dos universos . . Encadernado do selo Dc Comics com Roteiro de Tim Seeley e Artes por Dan Fraga e Tom Derenick, contém 148 páginas e compila os capítulos 01-06 de He-Man and Masters of the multiverse de Janeiro a junho de 2020 e em 2021 pela Panini Comics. . . Procurei ao máximo não ser pego pela nostalgia e não ficar fazendo comparações sem sentido (aliás comparações só fazem sentido ma mente do nostalgico) e mergulhei de mente aberta nessa proposta narrativa que confesso que não me impressora o bastante e nem por isso quer dizer que seja ruim, mero engano seu achar isso, a obra é dentro do seu próprio eixo bem executada e traz até quadros de forma inovadora (ou talvez nem tanto) com as referências que todos querem ver e mais. . . Aqui temos também um He-Man maligno vindo da Anti-eternia e vem dominando todos os universos por onde passa, daí uma equipe de He-Man's sobreviventes de outros universos numa aliança para derrotá-lo, que vai desde a versão clássica dos anos 80 até mesmo do longínquo filme Live action estrelado por Dolph Lundgren , sem mencionar a versão brinquedo e de vídeo games, com a chave de a suposta vitória em Keldor, um príncipe do passado que virá a ser o futuro Esqueleto! . . Vale a leitura pelos elementos envolvidos e nostalgia ao qual se enraiza os personagens, o conceito de multiverso é explorado com certo peso, mas acaba pecando no andamento da narrativa, se tornando rápido demais, deixando de trabalhar melhor certos eventos, nos fazendo engolir um alimento sem sentir o gosto direito, Se eu gostei? Sim! Claro! Inspired by the love my #KayfabeTober Hellboy received and the fact that Hellboy is just plain FUN to draw! As often happens on IG, I received way more unexpected love for a pic in my small sketch book, so I figured I'd give the love back with Hellboy blown up on 11x17 Bristol board and put in some hours on it! He recently drew HELLBOY which helped fuel me to finish this! For the life of me, after an hour of searching, I could only find a low res Batman sketch with a tiny moon behind him to reference. I Googled and searched through my Wetworks issues, but couldn't find a decent representation so I went off the Bats sketch & put my twist on it. Well, I made it back home in one piece and really just have to reiterate that yesterday was AWESOME! Thank you to @BigRedsComicsOC for hosting!! I had such a great time catching up with everyone at our EXTREME STUDIOS 25th Anniversary Reunion. Honored to have been part of such a unique experience, past and present. Yesterdays reunion was the first time in 25 years, that I've witnessed a non-stop rush throughout the entirety of ANY event. It was a blunt reminder that even after many years, people still appreciate the catalogue of books published by EXTREME and their hopes (yearning) for more of it. Looking around the room and seeing all of my peers brought back a lot of the nostalgia of working within the studio. EXTREME was full of so many talented folks whom became masters of their trade. The studio environment is something I personally miss, but definitely one of those 'you had to be there to understand' kind of experiences. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to grow as a young artist in such an environment, along with the collection of memories I've retained from those times. I'm very happy to know that everyone has accomplished so many of their pursuits through the years. EXTREME Studios was the launching pad for many of todays top talents behind the Films you love, TV series you grew up on, Video Games you've played, and a PLETHORA of top selling Comic Books at so many top tier publishers. I would say that majority of Team EXTREME from yesterday is vending/attending Wondercon through this weekend. To them I say I hope you kill it, make stacks, and obtain an absurd amount of commission work. Finally, thank you to @RobLiefeld for making the life path choices to start a new studio during a crucial point in career in the booming 90's. Without Rob taking a lead when he did, a whole lot of what we all are and have accomplished would have never been, and there would be no 25th Anniversary to reflect on.
