So I didn’t have time to watch the episode last night but I’m kind of afraid to watch it. Apparently the chemistry wasn’t there and rhae didn’t look like she enjoyed the sex scene. The marriage proposal was purely for political reasons and power so daemon is basically doing her favor. Mysaria is shown in next week’s trailer with a guy in gray hoodie aka people think it’s daemon so they’ll probably have him cheat on her. Idk obviously alicent and rhae shippers will say that but some dameon x rhae are too 😭

Why are we worrying about next week when this episode was beyond amazing for Daemyra!? And why are you listening to others who can’t enjoy the FABULOUS FEAST that the Daemyra fam was fed last night? I mean, my good anon, we have literally been given win after win after win. Don’t let the haters and downers in the fandom rain on the Daemyra parade. The episode was AMAZEBALLS for Daemyra.

Rhaenyra didn't enjoy it?!?! What the everloving---?! Dear lord! That woman looked like she was seeing the gods! She was enraptured. She was touching every single inch of that man she could get her hands on. And, fools, let us not forget she literally just gave birth not too long ago. And Daemon just lost his wife--this is LITERALLY TAKING PLACE AT HER FUNERAL! And, yet still they were out there banging it out. No, I will not sully that beauteous lovemaking. Cuz that was it, they were making the love. SO MAKING THE LOVE!

I mean, it appears that the people complaining about this love scene expected a raunchy, burning, sexy, hot, fun, getting it on fuckfest. And I'm like... whu?!?!? Were you even paying attention to the last episode?! They were fucking miserable. M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E. They spent ten years (FOLKS, TEN YEARS!) denying themselves. Denying their fire, denying their true heart's desire. They had sublimated who they truly were. They were also grieving, in pain.

Daemon had walked away from her -- yes, by the way, I called it. Totes 100% called it that we WOULD get an explanation for what happened in episode 5 with Daemon leaving, as I said, patience, grasshopper, patience. They were both miserable. But now at last they were together. They treated each other with reverence. When they made love... and it was absolutely, inesapably making love... it was damn-near worshipful.

And the wedding? Yes, they got married for political means. Him marrying her helped strengthen her claim, but WHEN they got married? OH. BE. STILL. MY BEATING. HEART.

The peace radiating from them. The joy on their faces. The looks in their eyes. The smiles. The lean in to the kisses. The cupping of the faces. The way she caressed his cheek, his chin. The kisses. DEAR LORD UP IN HEAVEN! THE KISSES! THE KISSES! OH MY HEAVEN!! THE KISSESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was the most soulmate of soulmatey weddings ever! They were like radiating the purity of love. It was just.... AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

I tried really hard to wait until March for this but I've been excited about this concept since I wrote the dang prompt so just TAKE IT ALREADY!!!

This is my interpretation of Talia's father. I like to think he was an herbalist, like Talia wanted to be. It connects him to the healing tradition in the Maurva family, and it gives me an excuse to draw him for this prompt (cassia leaf). He is also a bit of an artist, as you can see. I like to headcanon that he was the one who painted the portrait of Nino that's hanging in Talia's childhood home, which would help explain how Grandmama doesn't know about the whole Fairy thing XD

Speaking of the fairy thing! It is time to share the "many headcanons" mentioned when I posted the Faiara prompt

I'm in love with the idea that Aian fairies are born from a flower that grows when a fairy falls in love. It goes with the "gaia's precious children" thing if they are literally born from the earth and come into being from love and happiness. It also means that the human idea of intimacy doesn’t mean a whole lot to fairies. I like to believe Aian fairies are asexual and super romantic, because it is a concept I relate to and also it is * ~ sparkly ~ * and fairies are sparkly, soooo… there.

I think Talia’s father was that way too, and that’s why he spent enough time daydreaming alone in the woods to meet a fairy and fall in love with her and have a flower child with her without Grandmama ever really figuring out what happened. Everyone in Elden probs thought Talia was a changeling, come to think of it, but I have headcanoned enough on this particular subject for the time being.

The flower thing also goes with my sexuality headcanons for Dameon because I see him as demisexual (which let's be honest here it's barely a headcanon, it is all but explicitly spelled out in the game but I digress), and it would make sense for people with fairy blood to have less of that drive. And after I realized this I was thinking of how much Dameon takes after Talia's father (the completely made-up version of him in my head but it counts) and how soft they both are and I decided the Maurva brown eyes come from him (because Nino's eyes are like, brown-ish but also kinda gray) AND THEN I was thinking that I should probably come up with a name for him so I could stop just calling him Talia's father and then I was thinking… It would make sense for Talia to name her son after him, and his name would be Dameon too.

And then I fell in love with the idea so meet Dameon Maurva<3 No I do not know how I plan to distinguish him from his grandson, shush

Other notes:

They've discovered that playing Tetris with 8 of them working on the same board is way too exhausting. Rhen has solved it by making Lars and Dameon work on either side of her side of the board, and having Galahad and Te'ijal work on different sides of the boards.

They're definitely thinking of never playing a platformer with each other again.

They still do anyway. :^)

5 week old hooded boys. No names yet but I like Blackberry for one of them. We had planned several days of introduction in case Dameon showed any aggression but after a few hours of supervised bathtub and descented cage introductions I felt comfortable moving them in immediately. The gif is Dameon looking for pets from me instead of meeting his new buddies. He’s still very affectionate and seeks out an ear rub. The little dudes are smaller than our 4 week olds at work but I watched them both eat Cheerios and use the water bottle last night. The only modifications I made were a small box that they could fit into but Dameon couldn’t, a larger food bowl, and a bowl under the water bottle to catch drips. I assumed they couldn’t use the ladder (rung spacing is longer than their bodies) and D would have the upper level but this morning they all stood sniffing at the upper level wire when I got up. Dameon is doing wonderful, all my fears about introducing smaller males to an established buck were for nothing. He does show force grooming behavior when they run under his belly but it is brief with the appropriate amount of submissive squeaks from the babies and he accepts their awkward attempts to groom him in return. A big gray pushover, honestly. Still monitoring for any blood, excessive shrieking, or sidling but since they’re all curled up together in the plush pineapple hut right now I’d say it’s going well. At least until they hit sexual maturity at 6-7 weeks and social maturity at 6 months. Honestly, learning about rat social behavior has improved my husbandry 3000%. I probably wouldn’t still be keeping rats if it wasn’t for their fascinating behavior.
